Strength:

It takes you where you have to go. A/C and heat is pretty good. When driving people know I'm know where near rich.

Weakness:

Check engine light stays on nonstop. Paid to had to configured four times and they still cannot fix it. Waste of my money Engine is slow; does not react quickly to accelerator. While driving, car goes out of drive when something pushes on it. (OH that safe) Can't adjust steering wheel or sit(barely), making it sometimes uncomfortable to drive. Radio is a joke. The right/front speaker worked for a few months and cost TOO MUCH to have installed. There's is no space to put anything, anywhere. NO COMFORT whatsoever. I.E. The cup holder could have been found at the Dollar Store. To clean it you have to be the size of a toothpick to fit in the cracks to clean. Carpet hard to clean. The trunk carpet does not stay down.

I have had this car for 6 lousy years. The KIA SEPHIA is not a well built car. It looks like a 5 y.o. put it together. I and many others were used as guinea pigs for KIA. For the money I paid I expected a whole lot more. A used car would have been better. Many manufacturing problems. (See Weaknesses)Most of the parts can only be purchased at KIA and only if they have it. Don't ever buy a KIA SEPHIA.

Strength:

Survived a 1000 mile roadtrip. Tires aren't bad.

Weakness:

(see summary.)

This is my first car as I am only 16, but it is one of the crappiest cars I have ever personally ridden in. The breaks squeak like crazy, the dome light works -sometimes-, both the engine fan and radiator fan have gone out leaving me with no air conditioning in the hot Phoenix sun, the seats are coming apart, when I accelerate it takes it about 3 seconds to realize I've hit the gas pedal so it'll go from really slow to REALLY FAST throwing me and my passengers all into our seats like we're blasting off in a space shuttle. It dents really easily, the paint is chipping, the "radio" is a joke, the gas reading gage is broken, the gear changer button occasionally decides it's not going to push in, and it's just plain ugly. It was a fun car at first, it's pretty zippy, but overall, I wouldn't recommend this hunk of crap to ANYONE. However, it did survive a spin out at 75 mph and has never actually died... yet. Poop on this car.

Strength:

CHEAP. Pretty good a/c, no one will steal it!

Weakness:

Takes forever to get warranty repairs done, no resale value. Not great mileage, not great power, brakes are too small for the tires.

Well.... if I'd have seen the reviews, I would NOT have purchased this car. The frist thing replaced was the radio, it just would not play a cd. Then the guy replaced the spark plugs gratis. At 30K, the catalytic converter was replaced. At 40K the rotors were re-rounded, the mech said they had replaced the brakes just before I had purchased it. It has 3 broken motor mounts and a "bad front axle", which are to be repaired while I am away on vacation. We also have a 2003 Spectra, and it is already having problems, like the tires blew out at 6K, but Kumho says the warranty is void because we drove on the tires.....

At first I thought this was a decent car: for a cheap price I got something that would take me to and from school. But there were always things wrong with it, like the windshield wiper fluid wouldn't spray or the dome light wouldn't work (and it still doesn't). And now I'm having problems with the transmission, even though I take pretty good care of it (oil change every 3 months, regular car washes). I've only had it for about four years, it only has 47,000 miles on it, but I think it's not going to last me that much longer. The value of the car ran out when it's warranty did.

Strength:

Aboslutley positively NOTHING!

Weakness:

Everything you can think of.

To start I was forced into buying this car. The dealer literally stole my trade-in. But that's stupid Mel Farr. Kia sucks just as much. I've had this car for over 3 years and it has just under 60,000 miles. It has had 5 transmission, 2 of which were within the first year. The car was in the shop for over 40 days for the FIRST transmission alone. The best part about it is that Kia does NOT give rentals! So I had to be driven to and from school and work for over 40 days. I take good care of my car. I wash it regularly and change the oil every 3,000 miles. After 1 singular year, my car started to rust! It was only 1 year old and Kia wouldn't do anything. I've been talking with Kia for years and they could care less. I'm now in the process of sueing them for my money. The car is worthless and unfortunatley I still owe 2 more years on it. I feel bad for these people that own one and don't know what they're in for, and I feel even worse for the friends and family of the people who acutally like their Kia. May God have mercy on your souls!

This car SUCK. I've had it for over 3 years. It has just under 60,000 miles and it has had 4 transmissions. 2 within the first year. It was in the shop for over 47 days for the first transmission alone. The great thing about it is that Kia does NOT give rentals because they SUCK! The car is washed regularly yet after 2 years it started to RUST! The car SUCKS and have pitty for anyone who owns one. These poor people that think it's a good car has absolutley no idea what they got themselves into. I wouldn't trust this car to sit in front of my house. I'm currently sueing Kia Motors for my money!

Strength:

Its a spunky lil korean car. Its cheap, great for teens to buy instead of some junker. Its pretty good on gas.

Weakness:

basically, its cheap. Theres no other words about it, push on the body and it dents in, things look and feel like hard cheap plastic. There seems to be problems with the gas tank giving wrong readings though. Radio is bad. Overall cheap feel, get one of your larger buddies and have them shift around in the car and feel it buckle and sway.

I haven't owned my Kia long enough, I bought it used, but this thing seriously can haul, with its whooping 125hp but low wait, i've easily gotten it up way pass 100mph with two other people in my car, and extra 300lbs or more. THis is just a fun lil car to fool with for awhile. I fear the day when it doesn't work anymore, its just almost at 18,000 so i got some time till i hit 30,000.
