Strength:

The suspension is well tuned giving a little push just before the rear breaks loose. The car is glassy smooth in the transition from over to understeer and is easily controlable in the throttle steer mode.

Weakness:

Fuel consumption is very high when the car is under boost, particularly at the higher rpm range as the ecu dumps fuel to prevent pre-ignition. The engine is tuned for higher octane fuel than is available in CA. The clutch disk needs to be upgraded to better handle the engine power needed for an efficient launch. Top gear seems too tall and not as well matched to the engines power band as the other gear ratios.

This car is difficult to look at in terms of a four door sedan. The quick steering, firm suspension and very powerful brakes make this car feel mush more like a two seater than somthing you can take your family around town in. The vented hood, flaired fenders, and large rear deck air foil give notice that this is not a wannabe but a true player in the high performance sedan genre.

Strength:

- mid-range power - nice and predictable handling - quick and communicative steering - precise shifter - great Brembo brakes - great Recaro seats - spacious interior

Weakness:

- low-end and top-end power - interior styling - interior rattles since day 1 - stereo system

The EVO is a fun to drive car. It has nice power, great handling, strong fade-free brakes. This car also has decent level of comfort that makes it good enough for a daily driver. The overall package is fine, but the interior could've been better styled.

After eagerly awaiting the EVO in the US, it's finally here. I couldn't wait to get my hands on one for myself. Quite simply, this car ROCKS! This $30,000 pocket rocket 4-banger will easily give Corvette owners a scare. 271hp, 276lb/ft torque, Ultra light Enkei wheels, super stiff suspension, carbon fiber spoiler. The list goes on...
