Great low end torque, handling is superb, classic timeless lines and styling, and most of all it is mine!!

It needs better high end power and torque, must shift before 6500 rpm to be effective. Very scary to drive in the rain(Not recommended at high speeds in the rain).

Anyone who can get there hands on one of these cars, you should take advantage of the oppurtunity.
I have raced as of recently Mitsus Ecplipse new and old, Integras GSR,Type R(quick), Preludes(slow),Civics(slow), and several Stangs. I have beat all but a few and this car has the best potential out of any car I have ever owned.
The SR20DET is probably alot of 240 owners choice, but, this KA24DE has great potential and can generate over 400hp for half the cost of what it cost for the swap!! LOVE THIS CAR!!

Gotta be the looks. This car has great lines and style. If Pininfarina didnt design this car, they should have. The timeless and classic body style leads me to believe they did. With the exception of a couple of Ferrarri (a tad more expensive), I think this car, minus the spoilers (which do just that), is the most beautiful automobile ever produced.

Needs more power. It'll out-run a Passat, but thats about it.

I've never had a car I just couldnt let go of, except my 240. Anymore I just drive it every now and then (its only got 50K miles on it), but I just cant sell it. Ive had it up for sale 5 times now, having taken out ads in the paper twice, but everytime I get it cleaned up, I change my mind. Most cars people hold on to because of memories in it, but this one I hold on to, just because it is so damn beautiful. I bought it cheap. It was the last '93 on the lot, sitting in the back, having been pushed aside for the new and improved (and utterly without style) '94s. I was lucky. I think I will just keep it forever. Does that warrant a high rating?

Well first off mine isnt in great shape and wasnt when i bought it and i havent had the money to fix it up but the strengths i can think of are first of all Rwd how can you not love it the price vs value of these cars pretty good performance miine is manual transmission red theyre very fun cars to drive.Awesome engines can put them through hell and back mine has close to 300k miles on it and runs quite good for i have not taken care of it.

You have to be absoloutly careful if its wet or raining outside these cars being RWD will put you all over the road ive put mine in many ditches suprisingly i havent had to have help getting it out for the most part(its always wet and rainy where i live) terrible in first gear if youre wanting speed but power is good picks up in third and fourth but fifth lacks im not so worried about fifth wished it would pick up better in first and second. for everyone that complains about room its a little cramped but i think it has excellent room for a sports car. Biggest gripe is the suspension quite a bumpy ride for me it has lots of minor work problems lots lots lots they usually do but nothin too major as of yet.And i dont think that handle all that great they do decent but not as wonderful as everyone else claims

I am decently happy with my 240 just has a lot of minor problems that i wish i could afford to fix. These are a good car for the money you can punish just about any factory camaro or mustang or domestic american car. Fun car to drive. I bought it when i was 16 it was my 2nd car i bought the eclipse after that i like it better till it broke down majorly all the time. If you want a cool car for cheap this is it if you live in an area with bad area conditions be extremely careful when you drive it.

I have had this car since 1992 and the best qualities are its looks - still looks like a new car - and its handling. I love driving on the highway and coming around a curve - it really goes where you want it to!

The back seat but I didn't but it to have a large backseat. Just don't drive anyone over 5'3" in your car. Also, driving is snow is tricky - shift to neutral alot if you slide!

I feel very comfortable with this car and would highly recommend it for its low maintenance and ability to handle high mileage and not look beaten.

Compared to my 1990 Chevy Corsica LTZ - that car looked good and sounded like a race car but, once I saw the 240, I had to have it. The 240 is a real sports car. I feel like I could keep this car forever.

Rear wheal drive! Excellent power and excelleration even with Auto. Unique looks and rare. Looks modern today! Reliability. This is the most fun car I have ever driven. With its handling driving is never boring! You wont be disippointed!

Back seat room. No cup holders. Hard to find after market upgrades. The get-up is a soft at first. Winter driving is impossible.

I have had no problems with this car. It comes with so much more for less than other cars in its class. If you find one your lucky. It will be a blast to drive. Buy it if you want a fun, fast unique and reliable car. (Who doesn't?)

I love the way this car looks! Everywhere I go, heads turn because hardly anyone has seen a care like it. Also I like that not everyone has one, like a civic, etc. The pick up isnt that great, but then again I have an automatic.

Okay, defenitly the back seat is it's weakness. I guess if you know you are going to be driving more than 1 other person around you should get a bigger car. I dont let the complaints get to me, im not the one that has to sit back there..and at least they are getting a ride, right? The trunk isnt anything special, but it could be worse. Now my mom (who paid for the car) is telling me that we might have to sell it because of the insurance, and from reading the other reviews, I see this has been a problem for a lot of people.

I love this car so much. I really hope that my mom doesnt have to sell it. I like that not alot of people have it, and also its unique color. Mine is called "mint green" I think (E-mail me if you have this color too!), but I like to call it "silverish-gold-mint green." Dependign on the day/lighting etc it looks different. Anyways I really recommend this car, its so sporty and fun to drive. Just dont blow out your speakers like I did

I like this car very much, it has a good handling vehicle. It looks great even though it is the car of '89, lot of stuffs can be upgrade on it. It's totally a BIG BOY TOY. And also Nissan 240 is a very reliable car, engine runs last-longer. Nice interior and feel comfortable.

No cupholder!!! Brake sucks. I'm scare of driving it in the bad weather, especially in snow and rain weathers because it's a rear-wheels drive vehicle and it slip off the road easily. I'd already changed tires but still... On the other hand, I don't want to put heavy stuffs in the trunk because it would slow down the car and not a good idea on the gas mileage.

Overall, I bought a great car on a low price. But it has a problem on the thermometer, it sometimes overheat (the needle all the way to the top) with no reason, but then the needle went down again several minutes after that. I don't know why it has this problem but the car still runs very well. But the repair center checked it no problem and can't find it overheat. I really hope this problem can be fix one day. Compared to my first Honda Accord. 240sx is better than that because it has more power and of course I was also saying by the look, too.

Got to be the Rear wheel drive, the ability to drift freely. Original engine (the KA24) give enough low end, but not enough high end power. Definitely recommend anyone to put in the SR20DET. Really good handling, can out handle most japanese sport car and probably all american sport. Can beat most Honda car. Vtec is great, but it is nothing comparable to turbo.

Alway have to pay more for performance part cuz this car is not popular like civic and accord, everything have to be special order. Back seat is really small, cannot fit a third person, the trunk is very small, and the step inside the trunk waste a lot of my space for amps and woofers.

This is a really great car with the original silvia engine. I think putting the sr20det was the best decision. For about $800, nothing could give me that much hp increase. Be sure not to get the engine from Pulsar, it uses a sr20det too but with a top mount intercooler. Use at least 235 tire on the back, and besure to change the brake along with the engine. Get the rotor and calibar from 300zx non turbo, it fit perfect. This car have a really low used car market price, can easily pick up a 96 for 5 to 7K, a really good deal.
