Where to start! I love my car! I bought it in 99' when I graduated high school and have been loving it ever since. Ilove its RARETY! I see like 1 other one a month on the road. It handles great(very stiff). I have done a few mods. I got an INJEN Cold air intake, a racing weopon-R muffler, and am getting a set of Greddy headers. definate Hp. increase after the add-ons.

Weakness:

HUGE BURNOUTS! Look neat, but take to long to get going. I hope to get some wider rims and Z-rated tires to solve that prob. I had to sort make a cup holder for it to. not many probs. at all eccept for basic wear and tear things.

Allaround a great car! definately needed the hp. gains I've been feeding it. very glad I baught this car. maybe a turbo in the future. its either the turbo or rims and a body kit...kinda a toss-up.

Integra GSR 95 I held up to it till about 65mph..then he gained like a car length.
same thing basically with newer V-6 mustangs and Comaros
that should change after I get the headers and a Chip.

Looks are sweet but I still plan to lower and get some ground effects. It has ok power, its pretty quick for a small unmodified import. I've beaten plenty of people but 5th gear is a joke. I like that nobody else has it. It

Weakness:

must get power....

I havent had any problems besides a power window going out and a timing chain guide that broke that nissan said had been recalled or whatever and that i didnt need it. I must get more power!

REAR-WHEEL DRIVE!!!! Spectacular handling (dry weather), sexy/sporty looks, and REAR-WHEEL DRIVE!!! with 50/50 weight distribution.

Weakness:

Do NOT drive this car in the rain unless you want to pay for the repairs. I had 3 accidents in this car in the rain, the last one caused the car to be totalled by the insurance company. Speaking of insurance, it's pricey!

This was absolutely the best car I have ever owned. I loved looking at it, driving it, and raving about it to friends. If you are looking into buying a "sport-coupe" and want to stay away from the Civics/Integra's, this is definitely the way to go. Just remember that it's rear-wheel drive and keep it slow in wet weather conditions.

Speed and looks. This baby has like 60k on it but it's still got it.

Weakness:

Occasionally shaky. Shift between 1st and 2nd is a bit off.

I love this car! The feel of it! I'm a high school student and this car is perfect for me! I love the flip-up lights too.

Strength:

I dont know where to start. Handling is PERFECT, looks nothing like an '89 model, a very rare car (I'm the only one at my highschool that owns one), I'd say this is a perfect car, rwd, 5spd, and no cupholders (the sign of a serious sports car),90K miles and acts like i just got it off the lot!!! I could easily drive it forever its just so much fun.

Weakness:

Nothing really, back panel needs to be tightened down because every so often it rattles but it can be easily fixed and the 5spd needs a better ratio setting for 1st and 2nd gear and lose the speed govenor...

I just put 90K miles on it and it has absolutely no problems, I can see it running well for 300+ thousand miles (I know of some that have that much on it and still run great). The only complaint is that you really cant do a great white-smoking burn-out because of the gear ratios, but when you take of it pulls hard until it hits the govenor. Do not buy the car for a kid hauler, its a sports car not a station wagon, and don't buy red (got a ticket not soon after I bought it).

Great, turboed the car and other mods.
stylish and fast (300hps) =)
take sharp turns at 130kms (70miles)

Weakness:

don't drive if there's a chance of snow.

Well, I wouldn't do it again.
The cost to turbo is reasonable, it's the otehr upgardes
that I did that costed me.

Do a engine swap, it's cheaper and it's still 250hp for only
$2000 and your time.

handles great(in dry weather)nice looks/ reliable never had 1 problem/
very fun to drive. Feels more like a small 6cyl than a 4cyl. tourqe is good. but not enough

Weakness:

NEEDS MORE POWER!!!!!! 1 drop of rain and its a fishtail frenzey. lack of head room my head hit the roof. I am 6'1".

Very good handler that out handles the horsepower and cries for more.
I will be adding a turbo to mine. There are probly better choices out there for a fast cars because the 240 is slow out the box 16.1 q/m and a 0-60 of 7.8. but quite capable.

crx-handles good also but in a different way. ford mustang-much faster be does not handle as smooths/ slp fire hawk also much faster but way too long.

Model Reviewed: 240SX Fastback

Strength:

-RWD!!! Style(sweet looking car), Accelaration, Grips the road.
-Gorgeous interior, endless possibilities.
-Everything is in hands reach.
-Safe, I did a 270 sideways in the air and landed on the driverside and came out without a scrath.
-Dependable, reliable
-RWD!!! Fun in the snow!
-my sister owns the same car except different color and she is getting close to 300,000 km (close to 200,000 miles, i think)
-tune ups are easy and parts don't have to be changed if you careful with them.

Weakness:

-If you live where there's snow and you're not used to driving a RWD. you'll most likely end up in a ditch.
-Not much room for passengers(I personnaly prefer that)
-No cup holder (but I don't let anyone drink nor eat in my car)

-To start, I live in Ontario Canada.
-This is my second 1989 240sx fastback and the only thing I would change is the KA series engine for the SR20DET series engine.
-As for driving in snow, I never got passed on the highway during snow storms. I drive too fast. Just make sure you got good snow grips!
-This car is the best car I have owned and driven in the past 10 yrs.
-It's reliable, efficient, fast, and sweet looking.
-I would recommend this car to everyone who wants a nice car, but I don't want everyone to be driving to thing as me ;-). But serously this car is not for everyone. It requires love and attention.
-For the price I know I got screwed but I wanted THAT car and I could'nt wait until the next deal came up.
-I have personally taken out(and put back) the dash and the wire harness without complications. just for fun.
-I find it's a great car for the do-it-yourself.
-It can get expensive if you want upgrades

Strength:

Very fast, 0-60 in 7.0 sec. Good stability, really good handleling, can hook it up real good(you can do almost anything to this beast). You can check some really good picks at Imporfan.com.

Weakness:

Tune up is really necessary for this car, if you dont you will get stock around 105mp. Kind of slow in 5th gear.

Nice powerful little engine, I have beaten Mustan 5.0s, Integras Type R(imagine that!!!), if you learn to drive it, it can happen.
I have lowered it, 2 inches, got some nice wheels for it(17") rims,
Im on my way to gettin a silvias engine in it, with turbo, and nitrous.
This car will be the beast. If you would like to see how your 240sx could look, just go to importfan and chech out their picks, mine looks like the
cw Westin, Im in the prosses of getting the kit, engine first do.
