Strength:

Handling, cornering ability, engine reliability, potential, fun to drive, exterior styling, not many people have this car (you don't see em being driven everywhere like Civics and Accords.)

Weakness:

speed, I would like a lot more power from this 2.4 liter powerplant. Not many naturally aspirated routes. Turbo it will make it quick, but pricy and less reliable. A lot of minor probs, and the timing chain guide

Great car, one of those cars that are really fun to drive and take out. This car can handle extremely well and I love cornering in it. The KA24 engine is also very reliable and will last you a long time, around 250k mi and beyond. Thoough it does have a few small minor probs that are annoying. Such as the timing chain guide which is pretty noisy, and pricy to replace. Weather strippings get worn out easily. There are many more but they are just minor. For the most part I am glad to own this car and cannot see buying any other car as being a better decision. Great exterior styling, reliable engine, great handling makes this car my fav out of the compact sports group.

Strength:

Acceleration...woooweee this thing is quick. RWD...I live in Upstate NY and we get snow all the time. It gets kind of annoying but it is fun for like the first month. Handling. Nothing has broken down on it. So far i've had to change the brakes and a tire. The trunk space isn't bad, especcially for a hatchback.

Weakness:

No cup holders. I bought one at Advance Auto Parts for like $7. RWD, only when you need to get somewhere in a hurry in the snow. It tends to hydroplane a lot. No back seat leg room.

I Love it. It is my first car, and what a first car it is. It is very quick once you get used to it. It handles great. I haven't modded it because I have decided to go on a trip to spain during april break and need the money for that. It has about 142,000 miles on it and still runs like new. I bought it used. I have smoked all the cars i've gone up against, except a 3000GT. But i kind of beat that because a car turned right in front of that after half way.

but the stench from burning brakes is heard to bear and at 50 mph it shakes like a tiger with freshly-killed prey.

Weakness:

i can go 5 miles tops below 40 mph before the stink and shaking start. what gives?

what i want to know is have any of you had brakes binding, even after replacing the master cylinder, lines and calipers? new tires, new brake shoes, alinement already done? all the mech'e say there is nothing wrong with this car.

This is a awesome car! This is really what a fun car should be, fast, comfy, and with a great gas mileage even in a city like this.
