Oldsmobile Cutlass Surpreme 4-Door
Strength:
It rides extremely smooth and the seats are incredibly comfy. There is a ton of room and especially in the back seat (have fun if you know what i mean)the trunk is huge and i just put in a system and my car is the sh*t
Weakness:
jerks a little when you switch gears Well, my dad said he would buy me a car. His friend's mom died and drove a car that was only driven to church and back. My dad bought it from his friend for $2,000 and well worth it. Similar Products Used: nothing can compare to this car if kept in tip top shape like mine is |

Cutlass Supreme International Series
Strength:
Comfortable, roomy for a coupé, large trunk, very dependable, great design,
Weakness:
A/C leaks, A/C compressor too weak, 2.8 L engine a bit weak over 75 mph (on European highways), but quite "sporty" in acceleration. Nice looking car, even after 13 years the design of this car doesn't look old. It was well ahead of its time when new. Very comfortable to drive. I like the power seats, actually the best out of all 30 cars I have owned before. It has now 108'000 km (67'500 miles), and the motor runs like new. No transmission problems, neither electrical ones. Very reliable as daily driver. Only problem so far: the A/C system leaks, had to refill it already twice, but now the A/C compressor got up in smoke. Could fix it with aftermarket parts at about $ 350.--, but since I suppose that the leak might be under the dashboard, I'll opt to drive it without A/C for the moment. Similar Products Used: did not own a similar american car to date (apart from a Chrysler Voyager, which was a real lemon). But I owned a Mercedes 190 E and a BMW 323 before, and the Oldsmobile outperforms them in many ways, maybe excepted |

You can beat the crap out of it and they still keep on going. There a great first car
Weakness:
they could of put the 3.8 motor in it. Great first car. I beat the crap out of it everyday and every day i go out and it always starts it's never left me stranded except when i got air with it and i broke the fuel lines. Has the 2.6 MPFI motor and it's a rock revs to 6000 rpms and more when i want it to has good power for the size of the motor and for the size of the car. I crashed it once and then i rebuilt it and it's still running strong. Similar Products Used: It's my first car |

Cutlass Supreme SL (loaded)
Strength:
Great steering. Handles turns wonderfully. Awesome pickup. (lots of fun to race...lol). Sleek body design. Good heat and A/C.
Weakness:
Well, it seems like something goes wrong, many other things follow. But really, aren't all cars like that? The alternator seems go too often, and the car dents really easily. Oh, yeah, and this weird humming and shaking thing that has been happening lately when the car is in reverse or stopped while the A/C in on. But for the most part, all the weaknesses can be blamed on the driver, and poor maintenance, not the car. My mom bought the car off the show room floor in 93, and I have been driving it since 97. And it stills drives as beautifully now as it did then (well, plus the few knocks and hums here and there that happen with age). These cars seem to be able to withstand quite a beating. To put it bluntly...great car. Similar Products Used: I really haven't driven a car like this one before. My other cars have been beaters (86 buick century that died whenever I hit 55, and an 88 Crown Vic that overheated all the time) |

Everything is great about Princess. She can race with the big boys! She goes fast, purrs like a kitten. Starts good in the winter. I have nothing bad to say about this car!She rev's and picks up good! Turns nicely. An all around great car!
Weakness:
Weakness?? Princes??? NONE! The only downfall I can name is that it's got alot of miles on it and that's from the idiot owner before me!That's the only reason i'd get rid of this car for a car with fewer miles! Otherwise i'd keep this one forever!! This car is awesome! I just bought it a year ago and it's great. I've had no problems. It's Princess. In the year that i've had it nothing has gone wrong. The only "repairs" needed were when I got into an accident and someone who was too old to be driving rear-ended me! Besides that the only time i've taken it in to the dealership was for an oil change!!I think this car is great! Looks good inside and out. Someone I know has a Lexus and thought that's what mine was too! Imagine that! Looks similar for what half that cost! How can you beat that! My next buy hopefully is the Oldsmobile Bravada! That's how much I like these cars! It hurts to see that if you want a new Olds Cutlass you have to start looking at the Chevy Malibu's! Same car same feel! Similar Products Used: My last car was a '94 Pontiac Sunbird. Talk about P.O.S!! I drove it home parked it and after 5 min of sitting there it had the hugest oil leak!!I returned that car so fast!So compared to that car this car is a dream!Like I said PRINCESS! |

excelent egine power(good pickup), comfortable and roomy interior. If taken care of, this car can last a very long time...olsmobile makes a great american car that will hold up.
Weakness:
the only real problem with this car is the gas milage..the V-8 engine eats up a lot of gas..... Althogh this particualr car is 18 years old, it only has on it: 49,500 miles. Which is relatively good. No major problems have ever occured in its life, although in the next couple of years a new intake manifold will be needed. Other than that, the V-8, 5.0 liter engine is quick with excelent passing power and great 0-40 timing. The high torque gives it an edge over most competitors also. If wider and larger tires are put on to the rear, it provides great handeling with a much sportier look to it. you can do almost any upgrade to this car, and if done right it will be comparable to a vette- on a runway of course. Strength:
comfort of the seats and the ride quality. Power for its weight and the size of the motor.
Weakness:
wish it had a larger engine (3.8 ?) and a 5-speed. Not very many performace parts for the 2.8. Would like to find a turbo-charger for the motor. The alloy aluminum rims look great on them but mine came with hubcaps. I am very impressed with the car, sporty and well on gas. It had around 200,000 miles on it when I replace the 2.8 motor (should have went to a 3.1) and the auto-transaxle, rotors, and struts. Overall it is a very good car and a well amount of power and take off. Great car for someone who likes a little power but still needs good gas millege. Can look very sporty once tinted and alloys. I have also found a good place to buy the ground effects kit and the rear wing, which also look good on the car. It exists. I am confident that GM took all of their "third rate" parts, that they had accumulated since the early 80's, threw them in a pile and stuck a "Cutlass Ciera" emblem on it. Buyers of this car should wake up and smell the........... Similar Products Used: Same crap. GMC Sonoma |
