Um? just about everything exept the granny interior

Weakness:

Any engine under a 307

Best car I ever owned. This car was givin to me by a friend It had less then 90,000 miles when I got it. 4 months after I hade it I replaced the 307 with a 350 rocket (1971). VERY dependable and can kill a rice burner with a 10 mile head start. Nice slick early 80s body with the spirit of a early 70s muscle car.

Strength:

Reliability of engine and transmission. Good power. Roomy, love that front bench seat.

Weakness:

Very poor turning radius. Expected a little longer life out of some things: door handles wearing out and breaking, power window motors going out. Seems to eat up brake pads faster than it should, could be my driving though. The O2 sensor has been replaced a couple of times too, doesnt really seem to affect the drivability too much when out though, just the check engine light coming on and off.

170,000 and still going... Only engine problems have been the regular high mileage stuff, alternator and water pump went at around 150,000. Not an eye-catcher, but a solid, reliable car. Personally I've had very good luck with GM's early and mid-90s 3.1 V6s, jury's still out on late 90s one though, doesnt seem quite as promising.

maybe the trans and factory rust prevention

i bought the car with 177,000 on it from a friend. all of his brothers drove it the whole family drove it i drove it. i took it to college for a year and beat the piss out of i. neutral drops, hill climbing, drag racing, burnouts you name it it also got broke into, rusted out so bad the drivers door wouldn;t hardly shut, thetag axle almost fell out of it on like its second trunk and front fenders from being rusted so bad. no exausht loud toasted imports with it with the 2.8lV-6 and that awsome sound. sold it to a friend;s cousin for field car and they took it through gulleys and creeks and down embankments. finally cooked trans at around 200,000 dont know for sure speedo broke stll will start up at the touch of a key had flames painted on it and I was thinking about pulling the motor out of it to put in a low mileage beretta with a blown 3.1l

Strength:

nice top speed for such a heavy car, easy brakes to fix being all disc. it handled very well and the day i took it to the junkyard i did about 14 neutral bombs just to have a little last fun with it and it still didnt slip.

Weakness:

needed to replace upper motor mounts but that was just due to normal wear on the bushings. also needed to unfreeze rear drivers side caliper other than that and a few minor cosmetics things nothing to really moan about. also the ignition breaks fairly easy. i give it an 9 out of 10 havent owned a better car since

only car to last my driveing style for more than a month hehehe. it had about 115k miles when i got it and after 6 months of very bad abuse such as going off road maxing the car out on a 4 mile strait away i managed to hit 128 before it topped out. unfortunately it was my first car and i didnt respect as much as i should have and it finally broke so i took it to the junkyard and only 4 months later i seen my neighbors friend driveing it and the only reason i knew this was from a sticker i had in the window that i never seen on another car.

Strength:

Fast & fairly economical. Good trade of between speed and gas mileage!

Weakness:

None!!!!!

Love it! It is my first American car. I purchased it with 78,000 miles and drove it at present 84,500. No repairs so far, it's fast economical for a large car, with 3.1L (22 mpg overall, long trips around 25Mpg). It is smooth, conservative yet very fast. I have fallen in love with it, I had reservations about buying it, since I had heard so many bad things about American cars in general. But this vehicle is a pleasure to drive. I Love the exhaust sound from the twin mufflers.

Reliability, reliability, reliability. Everyone loves the comfortable seats. Great for long trips. Pretty decent acceleration.

Weakness:

Absolutely nothing special to look at. Paint. Runs noisy.

I've gotten 6 hassle-free years out of my Ciera which is a record for any car I've owned. It's just shy of 200K miles now, but body is rusting out badly in the last year so I'll have to part with it soon. If I'd had a garage for it I'm sure I'd be able to squeeze another 2 or 3 years out of this one - the engine just doesn't quit.

Strength:

Nice fuel economy for a v-6,has the potential to be a small luxury car given the options.

Weakness:

Very slow warming time in the winter, if you want a nice sound system you have to be inovative with your electrical system. Watch out for thoes coil packs they are expensive and you never know when they will go out

This car is a great first car, its not too fast nor too slow. It is a great get around car on the high-way or street. I see lots of elderly people driving this car so police shouldnt hassle you, the every day driver.
