Strength:

Roominess, very stylish, a/c and heat work well. when car is running good it runs good.

Weakness:

Oil leak, break fluid disappears???, brakes squeak, wear down tires continuosly, eats break pads

Similiar problems with car as others. Leaking transmission, eats brake pads, eats oil, eats brake fluid, now problem with fuel pump - maybe. Mechanic doesn''t know. Has intermittent fuel pressure loss. Mechanic wants $600 to fix. Better than dealer for head gasket repair at 60k for 1K. Mechanic wants to see front and rear brakes replaced for $600. When the car is running good - it runs very good.

Strength:

Roomy, comfortable, stylish, good family car, still proud of it after 2 years!

Weakness:

Engine could be bigger, but it''s really doing quite well. I''ve heard head gasket problems are common with these cars and mine just got the diagnosis.

I haven''t had any problems with my Breeze in the two and a half years I''ve had it. Bought it in 1999 with 23,000 miles on it. Now has 60,000. Very pleased with it. Just told it might have a busted head gasket, but I haven''t had any problems whatsoever until now.

Strength:

Roomy, fairly fast, somewhat sporty, very smooth, very good transmission, good stock sound system.

Weakness:

Don''t like the name. Takes a few turns of the key to start it sometimes. Besides that, its great!

This is a great car. I don''t know what all of you people are talking about on here about how it is a bad car. My guess is that either you can''t drive, or you bought the 2.0 engine. Almost all of the head gasket problems are related to the 2.0. But anways, this is a great car. It handles well, is very roomy for a midsized car, and it is surprisingly fast for a 4 cylinder. It gets off the line very well. This is also the smoothest car I have ever driven. When you''re driving it, you feel almost like you''re gliding. My only complaint is it takes a few turns of the key to get it started sometimes. But besides that, I would highly recomend this car to anyone. You can''t beat the production for the price.

None! STAY AWAY FROM CHRYSLER PRODUCTS!!!!! ESPECALLY THE PLYMOUTH BREEZE!

Weakness:

Bad Head Gaskets Bad Brakes Bad Tie Rods Bad Wheel Bearings Bad transmissions Bad Trunk and Door Handles Bad Weather Proofing Engine Too Small For The Size Of The Car Road noise is too loud Steering Wheel Vibrates Loose Steering Faulty Fuel Pumps Faulty Thermostats Check Engine Light Comes On Frequently Faulty Speedometer/Guages These are just some of the problems expressed by other owners of this vehicle! And, I seem to find more Everytime I look, but the scary thing is that they repeat and happen to more that just one or two!

I,m convinced that the Plymouth Breeze is a lemon. I have read thousands of complaints on the web about this car having the same problems over and over again. I myself have had to replace the Head Gasket, and it''s still leaking! I was going through 1 quart a week before I took it to the shop! I''m lucky that I bought the extended warranty on it! Otherwise I would have had to fork over $750.00 for the repairs. My steering wheel also vibrates badly when in drive with the brakes on. The weather proofing on the doors fell apart, and the Thermostat also had to be replaced. I think the brakes are going out now! I also agree that the engine in this car is too small for the weight of the vehicle! The worst part is that Chrysler will do nothing about it! They will sell you a faulty car, but you are on your own to repair it. I will not reccomend this car to anyone, and further more I will never buy another chrysler product...Ever!!! I wish I didn''t have this one! I want to get rid of it as soon as I can!

getting rid of it and advising anyone I ever come into contact with not to buy a Plymouth /Chrysler

This is the worst car we have ever bought-Trying to get the dealership to admit there were problems with the head gasket-which has been confirmed by numerous buyers was impossible-I now have a car with 47,000 miles on it and 5 years that has such a pinging in it that I''ve been offered 500.00 for it-Blue book value $4,400-I bought the car because I wanted to buy American-I would never buy another Plymouth Chyrsler-with the service the arguments-I hope at one time they review this website becuse the worst thing is they suck worse than their product

No power on hills, steering wheel shakes, eats brakes and head gaskets blow often

Plyouth Breeze sucks! Had it for 2 months and it spent a total of three weeks in the shop already. Blown head gasket at 59,000 miles and oil is still leaking even after it was fixed. Thank God dealer is decent enough to take it back. I am getting a 1998 Cavalier for the same price with less miles.

Strength:

Good space in front and back seats. Good gas mileage. Alot of trunk space. Heater works good especially here in Minnesota. Good speaker system didn''t have to install.

Weakness:

Oil lines suck and so does the weight of the car.

I''ve had my car for 1 year and two months. When I test drove the care it seemed to be the car I wanted. I bought the car for $8,500.00 with 54K miles on it. I bought the car in the summer of 2000 and I realized that when I turned on my a/c my car took forever to pick up speed. About two months later I had to take my care in for oil leaks. After awhile I started to realize that every time I would stop the steering wheel would vibrate like crazy. Once again about another month later I had to take the car in for oil leaks. Winter came around and I realized that my car felt like it was going to stall because of the coldness. Finally spring came and so did rain. My car seems to actually slide when I drive through big puddles of water on the road. It''s a scary thing too. Gas mileage is a good thing on this type of car. I brought my car in to have the tires rotated and found out that both outer tire rods on my car are shot.

Other than the head gaskets and transmission troubles it would have been a great car.

Weakness:

THE HEAD GASKETS

The car has blown three yes three head gaskets. After the second we were told it would not happen again. They were wrong. Yes they know there is a problem (defect) with the head gaskets in these cars yet will not recall them. Also you can not reach Chysler you can only talk to the dealership and their woord is final. 1st at 36,000 2nd at 66,000 and the third at 72,000 miles.
