Controls automatic. conveniently place, aaand very up to date. Lots of room room inside, large trunk, and sporty looking.
Weakness:
Pick up is slow. Even though we have not had the car but 1 month, we are very satisfied. In fact it is not even broke in yet but we are having a grand time doing so.We have a SUV and a couple of "work" cars and although I drive the Bonneville to and from work (8 miles round trip) we only drive the Bonneville after work. I love the accesories and so conveniently placed! Similar Products Used: Like none other that I have driven. |

Great ride, look, get up and go, truly is Luxury with and Attitude.
Weakness:
Too expensive to fix even in parts alone Having loved the look of the Bonneville i went out and purchased one for $16,000 Canadian 4 years ago, and even bought it from a dealership to take advantage of a GM warranty.I love this cars apperance, strength, and get up and go.What bothers me the most is the price to fix everything.Since i've owned it i've gone through 2 water pumps,2 alternators once covered by warranty, front rightside wheel bearing,EGR valve. I keep up with general maitanace oil changes (synthetic oil only) Rust Checked every year. Recently i've had to get some minor body work done for stone chips and little dents, but the biggest thing is a week ago my traction control started making noises when i started the car up and the ABS light would come on.My husband discovered a blown brake light and replaced it. It must have been a fluke because the traction and abs cleared itself up.Here we are a week later and the problem has come back, we replaced everybulb there is and nothing. So off to the garage it goes, but one thing not everyone can work on Traction Control and ABS it's a dealer thing so double the price.Overall i still think the Bonneville is a great car but with technology the way it is prices for parts should have come down by now. looks great , very comfortable , good pickup , i love the HUD system , this a big heavy car and you know it when you start driving around ( but i like that ,the paint is still great and i never have waxed it,180,000 kms the car has now and the body still looks great .
Weakness:
This is the first car we owned with all the computer crap on board , we have had ( and still tring to fix the traction control and ABS ) problems ( comes on sometimes when driving even though its turned off )the HUD does not match the speedometer , gauges ( heat and gas ) start to jump round ( my wife calls it the elec. gremlin , and i would like to know what idiot ENG. at Pontiac came up with i idea of cup holders in the doors ( he or she should have there ass kick ) got to clean to rug and doors all the time 'cause theres coffee all over the place ( yes , even if your carefull ), there seems to be a lot of wind noise with this car (must be the cheap glass that GM is famuse for ). nice car but parts are not cheap and these cars do like there new pricey parts . When my wife and i first saw the bonneville we really like it a lot , when i talked to the dealer and took it out for a ride i was in love .It looked sporty and had 4 drs , the wing on the back was slick ( looks like crap without it though )it seemed to have plenty of pickup and go . The jade green paint and the gold 16" rims was cherry on the top .The seats are very comfortable ( short and long trips ) . I took a trip to my dads about Similar Products Used: Have never had a car that was fully loaded or only a couple of years old |

Strength:
Excellent interior styling despite the high amount of plastic. Great power (you can feel the supercharger kick in). Nice exterior lines. Many many features that are fun to play around with.
Weakness:
As seems to be the case, maintnace. Unlike many people who own one, I haven't run into any really major problems with my car. It recently rolled 100,000 miles, and as with any car that age, needed new brakes and the such. The most unusual problem (by comparison) that I have experienced is the left front rotor needed to be replaced, and the radiator needed flushing. In the last mont I've replaced the front brake pads, changed out the cad-converter, changed the plugs/wires, and as mentioned before, flushed the radiator. Fortunatly for me I have a mechanic that knows the car well and doesn't charge me extra because of the supercharger. I paid $7500 out of a local dealership. I don't see many floating around, and like someone else said, it's nice to own a car that isn't common. I'd reccomend it to someone who can keep up with the maintnace costs. Personally, the money I have put into is more than worth it. I plan to hold on to this car for quite a while. Similar Products Used: 1992 Buick LeSabre. My family owned one of these. The similarities are evident when you look at the two side by side. It's obvious they're on the same chassis. Same engine as well. The 1992 LeSabre, Park Avenue, Olds 88, and Bonneville all have similar features (look at the "wing window" part of the front door.) |

Strength:
stock stereo system, quiet comfortable ride, powerful tough engine, 20-25 miles to the gallon.
Weakness:
Wind noise from ripped weatherstripping, hard shifting transmission, hard to turn suspension (needs struts two different sized tires), weak brakes, slow power windows My Bonneville is a big comfortable car that rides like a boat on really calm waters. It is impressively quiet for a twelve year old car but it idles a bit rough because I need a camshaft sensor. Overall I recomend this car to anyone who is looking for comfort, power, and good gas mileage. Similar Products Used: 1988 bonneville, 2001 SSEI-beats the hell out of the 88' but can't stand up to the 2001 but it is an excellant car for it's age and mileage. |

Looks, Heads up display, red interior lights, quick car for a Luxury sedan, very roomy, air compressor, analog gauges. one touch sunroof. racy steering.
Weakness:
Eletrical problems, the interior lights wont go off, but a quick fuse did the trick, battery power fluxuates constantly. bulky feeling steering wheel radio controls. could use tighter suspension This car rocks, sweet looking with luxury bells and whistles. I'll run it with any car in its class and it'll come out on top. If you like speed but dont want to give up your luxury options this is definitly the car for you. Similar Products Used: Taurus SHO |

This car acclerates a lot faster than any other 4 door that I have ever driven. It handles like a dream, and looks the same. The 3800 V6 engine produces ample power, even though it is the non-supercharged version. I have done a few modifications to mine and it is good for consistant 14's at the 1/4 track.
Weakness:
the only bad thing I can think of is the rear deck wing has faded a little bit because the Texas sun is a killer, and it is 11 years old now. I have had no major problems with the car....it has 167,000 miles on it and it is still running like it was brand new. I give this car a top rating for being a powerful, sporty, good-looking sedan that is very reliable. I am a Bonneville owner for life now. Similar Products Used: there is no vehicle like it |

the fuel gauge is really weird. it fluxuates way too much. could use more leg room in the front. this car is real reliable and a lot of fun to drive. i would reccomend it to anybody wanting the best of luxury and power. Similar Products Used: Ford Taurus SHO |
