Strength:

Good steering, rides well, lots of room.

Weakness:

Noted above, transmission, heater blower, paint is starting to peel off the trunk lid.

Have had problems with rear wheel drive as this is an AWD. However the rear transmission was rebuilt free of charge at 61000 kms. Also heater blower quit a couple of times in the Winter. Otherwise it has been very satisfactory.

Strength:

At the time we bought it, it was the only van with the dual sliding doors and that is why we liked it

Weakness:

Electrical System, Brakes, handling, cost of maintenance, dealer support. I still have another year of payments!

Please avoid the vehicle at all costs! Every couple of months I have it in the shop for something which of course isn't covered under the Extended Warranty.
Total so Far;
- 3 dealer batteries, $400, each lasted only about two years The first one was the only thing covered under the Warranty
- Brakes, $500, The brakes started squealing shortly after we drove it off the lot, Dealer handed me a Service Bulletin explaining that all their vehicales will do this due to the type of pad being used. Funny I seem to be the only one with the sqealing brakes that pulls up to stoplights. I put up with it for 25,000 miles and ended up having (by a brake shop) all 4 brakes completely redone.
-Positive side battery cable melted, $200. Yes you read it correct. The positive side battery cabel connector has two cables crimped into it. Well one and only one of the broke off and started arcing and smoking. The dealer said it due to poor battery maintenance and wouldn't cover it. Funny they were the ones to replace the battery less than a year ago. And the other cable was perfectly fine.
-Electrical System, $300. This hust happened today. the Airbag lite came on and wouldn't go out, the cruise control and horn quit working. Dealer said it was the Clock Spring and its not covered under the warranty (Passive Restraint System Part)

In reading other reviews about this vehicle I hear alot of people replacing the transmision. I have yet to have that problem but I'm sure it's only a matter of time.

Strength:

Smooth ride, quiet, lots of space, good looks, reasonable fuel economy(Sweden´s gas price $1.00 per liter/quarter gallon)

Weakness:

Horriffic workmanship all over the car, no detailfinish or fit anywhere..
Every week I find something new where someone didn´t bother to do it right.
The paint is falling of, and the trunk is rusting. Wiper-motor dead.

100000 miles on it when I bought it, and the transmission had then recently been changed. So far it´s been a pretty dependable car, although
I´ve always had the feeling that if I´m not gentle enough with it, it´s gonna break. The generator-belt had to be changed at 110000, and the shocks, that were way too soft even the day the car was new. That was a major improvement. I feel that we´ve been in luck so far, but also
careful not to push the old lady too hard.
