Strength:

Good gas mileage. Holds a lot of stuff.

Weakness:

Cheap Chrysler quality. Corp. doesn't stand behind product. Dealers are only in it for the money.

Bought vehicle used w/46000, head replaced @ 52000 cost $1400 out of warranty. Chrysler screwed me. Vehicle now has 110000 now having other head replaced, and dealer says 1st head needs replacement again! No way-I'll get it fixed and dump it. Has ghost wiper feature when the turn signal is used, must turn the switch on then off to stop it. Front brakes need replacement about every 20k mi. I'm looking to replace it with a 2000 chevy venture, but those vehicles have intake gasket problems. All minivans have problems and Hondas are two expensive so where do you turn? It's a crap shoot. Good luck out there.

Strength:

looks, ride, design

Weakness:

brakes do wear quick (but it is a heavy vehicle)

Just suprised to see alot of gripes particularly with transmition problems. Can only think that isolated problems turned up alot of people to this forum to complain (i also noticed Honda Odessey had numerous tranny complaints which really surprised me. We bought the van used in Aug 2001 with 35k miles...currently has 53k and a dead battery has been the only problem. My wife loves it and i feel its a great family vehicle, that appears for now to be well designed.

Strength:

Handles well, fairly roomy, the extras are nice. Good Power, good for those long drives, fuel mileage is great.

Weakness:

Brakes,A/C is lukewarm, reverse seems to be a little touchy.Grinding noise when you shift gears.

Brakes, are already squealing,A/C does not seem to work well. My Taurus is a 94 and the A/C will freeze you, which is good in the heat.Handles well on highway, kids are much more comfortable. The exterior/ interior looks real sharp.

Strength:

Reliable Engine [4-cyl]. Can really take a beating and still get you from place to place. Good mileage. Easy to work on.

Weakness:

Electrical systems get iffy after a while. Rear wiper gives out.

For the most part, this van is a beast. It's been with the family for 10 years almost, and it's still running strong at 154k miles. It isn't without it's fair share of problems though. At around 70k, the 3speed tranny failed and another one was put in. No problems since. At 150k, the headgasket finally went after many years of leaking. Cracked the whole cylinder head so a new one needed to be put on. Besides that, it's been running great. Underpowered though since I have the 4-cyl version. Great gas mileage.

Weakness:

basically a piece of junk

The worst vehicle I've ever owned. I've dropped major dollars into this van and every month or so something else goes wrong. Will never buy anything associated with Chrysler again.

Strength:

Very roomy and accessible especially for families with carseats.

Weakness:

We do not have the second sliding door or air conditioning in the back.

This has been the best vehicle I have ever owned. I now have 145,000 miles on it. I have changed the oil, brakes (once), battery (once) and tires (twice). The only other thing that we have done to this vehicle is changed the serpentine and V belts which cost $165. It still looks and runs great.

Strength:

Very Roomy

Weakness:

Quality - This van is junk!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the WORST vehicle I have ever had the misfortune to own. The van has 117K miles on it and I've replaced the transmission twice. This transmission is now going bad. I've had to replace a head and replace the air conditioner evaporator core. This van cost me 10 times the money to maintain in 4 year than all of the other cars I've owned over 20 years combined. Chrystler should concetrate on quality improvement and less on looks. This may be one reason that they can't make any money. I will never own another Chrystler product.

Strength:

Carried 7 passengers.

Weakness:

Everything above. + Cannot carry full size adults without straining.(3.0 liter engine) It was meant to be a huge baby buggy.

This vehicle has emptied my wallet from the day I owned it. In the first month alone I spent more time at the dealer than driving. The windshield wipers flew off in a rainstorm, the radio quit(when it was replaced they loosened the dashboard and it has rattled eversince),the passenger seat seam ripped, the passenger front seatbelt would not lock, the sliding door and the front passenger door would not lock, the drivers seat adjustment mechanism would let go when accelerating sending the driver flying backwards, the rear window wiper stopped functioning and has been stuck permanently in an upright position, two transmissions were put in under the 7-70 plan and a third one after the plan expired costing $1,500. Now the tranny is acting up again. It has a bad oil leak. It also has a problem that no one has been able to identify by test driving or by scanning. It surges and bogs down after it has warmed up. No codes show up and mechanichs are stumped. I will never ever purchase a Chrysler product again. Not ever. No one in my family will either.

Strength:

Interior Space

Weakness:

All strengths are offset by the extreme unreliability. Most of the time I am using its cargo space to haul around its own parts to the shop to get it fixed. No joke.

This van does have all the problems listed here by others. We had to replace the transmission as well. I hope that anyone who wants to buy one does a search on the internet before they do and realizes that there are nothing buy negative reviews about it everywhere.

None. Never will again. I was considering the Neon SRT-4 before, but how I can I trust a manufacturer that makes a product so crappy? This isn't a small screw up.. TONS of things are wrong with this v

Strength:

Can't think of much!- Lots of room for hauling things. 3.3 litre engine has a reasonable amount of power (when it runs).

Weakness:

Main weakness is totally unreliable transmission. Engine runs very hot, especially uphill. Many expensive repairs. Not reliable. Lots of leaks.

I bought this vehicle used in 1996 and still own it today although I am desperately trying to unload it. When purchased it had 60K miles on it and one thing after another has gone on it over the years. I am on my 4th transmission! The original transmission lasted to 130K miles and then the second (rebuilt by dealer) only lasted 25K miles, the third went another 20k miles. I don't trust the 4th which has only been in for a few months. This has been 3 different transmission shops so I can't blame the service. Since I've owned it I've also had to replace the starting motor, fuel pump, struts, radiator, axle - you name it. It's costed a fortune in repairs. I use synthetic oil for both the engine and the tranny and I've faithfully maintained regular service intervals for oil changes, etc. The A/C stopped working shortly after I bought it and the cruise control stopped shortly after that. I would never purchase a plymouth voyager again.
