Strength:

small enough to turn around in short distances, roomy inside, easy to handle, good gas mileage (better than rated).

Weakness:

arm rests are useless, doesn't handle well at higher speeds on windy days, cell phone holder should be towards the front of the console

I love my Vibe! It is the most versatile vehicle I've owned. It has plenty of room, looks sharp, drives well, great gas mileage, great tune sound, very quiet riding.

Model Reviewed: AWD Vibe

Strength:

Size, comfort, stereo, huge glove compartment (larger than the one in my van)

Weakness:

Shows alot of dirt (that's due to our color choice). No other complaints, yet.

I love this Car!! My van was too big, the older car was too small - this car is just right! The kids say the back seat is comfortable - the front seats are, too. My husband was tired of being low in the older car. The Vibe has you sitting way up there. We have the moonroof and better stereo. My husband loves it all. We got the AWD version. We have the cargo mat - things don't slide around on it. Also got side airbags. We did a build to order, since dealer did not have AWD model. When car came in, rebate was upto $1500!! With other rebates (GM Card & Citibank Driver's Edge, dealer took off $500, too, we ended up saving over $6000!

Strength:

a kool chick-magnet-stuff-carring new wave sports car.

Weakness:

annoying little buzzzzzzzz you hear from time to time.

Like this car a lot. There is space for carrying my stuff, great gas milege, and enough punch merge quickly into highway traffic. The downside-- you hear buzzing from the bass in the radio and from the car's vibrations at high speeds.

Model Reviewed: pontiac vibe

Strength:

roominess, a sporty style (though tastes will vary), good cargo space with retractable seats

Weakness:

Many bugs (suggesting to me a cheaply made car), poor rear vision when backing, leans on curves, slippery cargo floor (accessories for tying things aren't very practical), noisy brakes and dashboard in my case

I was initially attracted to this vehicle because of the sporty looks, cargo space, and roomy interior. Unfortunately, I have had lots of problems with the car and fear that it is in reality a cheaply made economy car with a stylish exterior. That glitzy dashboard has been a headache, being the source of constant rattles (surely that is not the meaning of "vibe"). The car has been in the shop seven times, and still the rattles haven't been eliminated. Perhaps more disturbing is the grating of the brakes when the pedal is pushed all the way in (as in backing on an incline). The sound varies, but can be horrible. A worker at the dealership confided that GM is "among the worst" when it comes to noisy brakes. Needless to say, that doesn't make me feel good. I hope that others' experiences have been better, but clearly I have been frustrated. If you are intent on purchasing this car, I suggest that you examine your prospective vehicle very carefully (including sudden braking and driving over rough roads). Also, ask yourself whether you are really getting substance and not just style.

Model Reviewed: Pontiac Vibe-GT

Strength:

Super fun to drive! Great acceleration and handling. Tons of room for gear in the back. Gets looks!

Weakness:

Starts getting loud at high RPMs (like at highway speeds above 70 MPH).

This is the ideal car for people with an active lifestyle. It has lots of room to carry around gear (in the back I can fit a bike, roller-blades, a gym-bag, climbing gear, a couple of tool-boxes, plus assorted other stuff with room to spare). The EPA says it gets 25/30-MPG for city/hwy, but I get 28/33-MPG, and that's with a heavy foot. Everywhere I go, my car gets looks and I hear comments like "cool" or "cute" describing my Vibe, giving me the opportunity to brag!
