Strength:

CARGO ROOM, GAS MILEAGE, LEG ROOM, ROOM FOR 3 ADULTS IN BACKSEAT, COMPACT SIZE-PARKS EASILY, ZIPPY, EASY TO WASH-CAN REACH THE ROOF

Weakness:

4TH GEAR TENDS TO DRAG A BIT, RED LIGHTS IN DASH ARE HARD TO READ IN SUNLIGHT, CARPET IS VERY THIN AND WEARS EASILY

I BOUGHT THE BASIC VIBE AND LOVE IT. IT HAS LOTS OF STORAGE AND FIT ALL 4 OF MY FULL GROWN CHILDREN AND MYSELF ON A 750 MI LONG TRIP. WE HAD PLENTY OF LEG ROOM EVEN IN THE BACK SEAT. GREAT GAS MILEAGE. I EVEN WAS TOLD BY MY DEALER THAT IF I REFERRED THIS CAR TO A FRIEND THAT HE WOULD GIVE ME A $500 CHECK IF THEY BOUGHT A CAR. ONE OF MY FRIENDS DID BUY A CAR AND NOW THEY TELL ME THAT I WAS CONFUSED, THAT THEY NEVER TOLD ME THIS, AND THAT THEY WILL ONLY GIVE ME $50 BECAUSE I DIDNT REGISTER HIM IN A BOOK BEFORE THEY PURCHASED THIS CAR. HAS ANYONE ELSE BEEN TOLD ABOUT BEING PAID $500 FOR GIVING A REFERRAL WHERE SOMEONE BUYS A CAR FROM YOUR SALESMAN, OR ARE WE THE ONLY ONES HERE IN MINNESOTA? PLEASE WRITE ME AND LET ME KNOW.

Strength:

Anti-lock brakes. The turning capabilities on this vehicle are better in any other car I've drive.

Weakness:

Acceleration is by far the weakest part of this car. Although its got its "get up and go", it would preform better with a supercharger.

The stylish Vibe is a nice ride, and good gas mileage. I like the room when sitting in any seat of the car, back or front. Also the extra room in the back is an added bonus.

Strength:

Nice interior, great sporty look.

Weakness:

Sound system isn't as good as I hoped for... sometimes I feel like the pickup is slow... but then I look at the speedometer and I'm flying!! I guess this isn't a weakness. Engine louder that I would like... but just think of it as sporty.

So far, this car has proven to have unique style and good handling. Don't judge this car from the outside... it is much bigger on the inside that it looks!!!!

Strength:

Sporty styling, moon & tunes pkg is wonderful. Power package was relatively inexpensive. Wonderful standard features!

Weakness:

I had a tough time finding one with anti-lock brakes. Some people may not like them, but I wouldn't buy a car that didn't have them. It took some searching, but I eventually found one in the color I wanted, with the options I desired that had anti-lock brakes. It was worth the search!

I have had my Vibe a little over three months now, have 4,500 miles on it, and couldn't be more pleased with it. The excellent financing available at purchase (0%) and the wonderful reviews I found in my research were what made me decide to look into them. The test drive sealed the deal. This car is fun to drive, sporty-looking, and gets EXCELLENT gas mileage. I get compliments from complete strangers about the appearance. I would highly recommend this car. As a matter of fact, my husband's cousin bought one 3 days after she saw mine and she loves hers as well.

I test-drove a VW Golf, but the incentives were very disappointing. I'm glad I decided not to get a Golf, because I truly liked the Vibe better when I test-drove it.

Strength:

Loaded with standard options. Toyota reliability under the hood. Fun to drive. Sporty and stylish; gets second looks from passers-by. Definitely the car for those who love all the minivan features but would rather not be caught dead in one. Lots of room. Great mileage.

Weakness:

Can sometimes feel underpowered at low RPM. Dim red dash lights in daytime (again, my wife loves them, though). Slippery rear cargo floor (easily fixed). Chrome indicator decor rattles at high speed--this problem may be specific to this car, I hope. One last gripe: Pontiac should have made ABS standard.

Bought this Vibe in like-new condition way under sticker price. So far, it has been the best value for all the bells and whistles that come with it. It has a nice minivan-like view of the road, responsive steering, reliable brakes and good handling. I haven't tried all the cargo configurations, but it's nice to know that they're there if you need 'em. Roomy interior is a plus, since we have 2 toddlers sitting in car seats in the back. As mentioned in other reviews, if you don't have a rear cargo mat, things slide like they were on a boat in the movies. We have a neighbor who has a Matrix and I parked it alongside to compare the 2 -- I think the Vibe is more elegant than the Matrix, which tends to be flashy, but my wife thinks otherwise. Overall, very good value for your money. I never could understand the Matrix and Aztek owners who hate the Vibe.

Strength:

Gas Mileage is about 30 (combination highway/city driving) so far, and my 6'2" husband has plenty of head room. Since I am only 5' tall it's been hard to find a car that suits us both, and the vibe is great! The price was awesome, as I got $3000 in rebates from GM and got the dealer to come down $1200 off the sticker price, as well. I finally have a car with all the bells and whistles I've always wanted!

Weakness:

Don't skimp on the cargo mat--the floor without it is extremely slippery, which is annoying when carrying groceries, stroller, etc... The engine is a little louder than I like it to be, also

I chose this car for the roominess (2 small children plus their stuff), great gas mileage, and looks. It has delivered on all counts and I enjoy the attention that comes from driving something a little "different."

Strength:

Great Gas Mileage. Its averaged a little over 30MPG with the oxygenated gas the we use in NJ. Expecting higher results in the summer. Great handling, good drivers comfort and excellent sound system.

Weakness:

Found that when you need to brake quickly the car front suspension seems to list to one side. Center console should have been engineered better. Note: These weaknesses are minor.

Great Car. It took a marriage of Toyota technology and Pontiac appearance to make a good looking, good performing car. It has some limitations but overall its a terrific value and with great gas mileage as well. It also looks a lot better then its sister car the Toyota Matrix. The value option packages are also a plus. The Vibe is definetly worth looking into. I am very pleased with my Vibe

Strength:

Loads of options, combo of GM styling and Japenese engineering, smooth ride at higher speeds, lots of get-go for around town and passing. Great gas mileage. Attractive interior and exterior, above-average sound system, lots of room (I have 2 toddlers and ALL the crap that goes along with them :) ).

Weakness:

Speaker casings buzz when bass is heavy, back cargo area has absolutely no traction causing things to slide around (annoying on grocery trips), e-brake is difficult to release if you have beverages in both cup holders (trivial - i know), but cup holders could be better placed anyways. Customer service was very weak at this particular dealership - it took over 3 months to get me a vehicle that wasn't even a custom order!!

Bought this vehicle in September - my wife loves the look. We have 2 young kids and after having a 2 door Sunfire, I have to say that I am very pleased with the amount of room this car has. All around I feel this car is solid - preforms smoothly on the highway for long trips, felt safe @ 130km/h through mountanious highway in BC. Having the engine/transmission built by Toyota is a BIG +. I don't trust GM's mechanical expertise in that area. For around $20000 you get alot of car along with options that many charge extra for (A/C, 115v plug, 2 ac outlets, CD, fold-flat passenger seat) I think this helped raise the bar for a lot of GM cars. Lets hope they take up the challenge.

Comfort and room. Cargo space, looks, AWD system. Fun to drive, Auto head lamps, great fuel mileage

Weakness:

Not as much power as I like but fuel milage makes up for that, rear compartents rattle a bit.

My fiance and I love this car. It is sharp looking inside and out. Comfortable in the front and back with lots of room. We have a friend who is 6'9" tall and weighs 300lbs and he has no trouble getting in or out, and is comfortable in the back seat. The AWD system is amazing, I have owned and used 4X4's and I like the AWD 10 times better. We had alot of snow since we got the car and I can't believe how great it is in the snow. It has lots of cargo room and has an easy clean surface. It has a great sound system. We love this car
