Strength:

Runs good, Very Roomy

Weakness:

When car is cold transmission slips until warmed up. Stock Rims bend very easy and the dealer will not replace. Seems to me to be some kind of defect since I live in florida where there is not a lot of pot holes such as chicago or newyork. Seems very cheaply put together except for the radio.

I really liked this car but the only problem I have is that I keep getting bent rims. Good Radio.

Strength:

Lots of room, comfortable seats, GREAT sound system, good AC, very stylish, cheap price for a high quality car.

Weakness:

Gas mileage isn't as great as I had hoped for (24-27 MPG), rough ride (I'm not used to the "riding like a truck" feel yet), two interior lights needed

I bought my Xb about four months ago and still love it. It has more room than I could ever have imagined. The seats are very supportive and comfortable, and the black interior looks great. It rides like a truck which has taken some getting used to, but it has a fairly smooth ride. I've heard a few random rattles, but they come and go. The right front speaker makes a funny noise, but I've gotten used to it. Overall it's a great car for the price. The many curious and positive comments from people are a plus :)

Good Sound system with with the bazooka tube, very roomy, Very stylish, easy to customize

Weakness:

Ugly ass stock 15 inch wheel covers, the rattling rear end, when its cold, it doesnt want to change gears until that blue temp light goes off.

My "Fix Or Repair Daily" Ford stopped running on me 3 times in one month. After spending so much money on the car, i finally gave up and said, hey, its time to trade up! SO i purchased a 2006 Toyota Scion xB. I loved this car every since it first came out, and to top it off, its a Toyota! I hope this car is good to me because i cant bare making payments and fixing it every week. It has alot of room, it has a dependable history, and its a head turner.

Strength:

Lots of room, and plenty of room for modification.

Weakness:

It could be a little bit faster, and have a cargo light but i can live without it

I have a 2005, not a 2004, I love this car it looks cool, you are always having people look at you and the response you get at car shows is unbelievable. I have added 18 inch rims w/ low profile tires, the euro tailights, a grill, and a cold air intake. I bought the automatic because i didnt like the way the standard drove it felt like i needed a 6th gear, but over all it is wonderful. Oh Yeah, i have maxed my xb out at 115mph. wanna get faster!!!!!

I love the room, the interior is seems to hold up to kids very well. Great gas! and Room is great.

Weakness:

I cant find out where they have tested the saftey in a wreack, that scares me Cause I have a one year in the car with me. My Transmisson too, It also could use a little more get up and go power, when I pass cars it seems like its gonna blow up.

I bought my car looking for a 4 door, I had a new baby. I fell in love. I was the 9th one to buy a XB. THe XA didnt have room for a stroller. I love it. It gets great gas millage, I live in the counrty. My hubby likes it cause he doesn feel cramped like a car. The only thing I am having problems with is when my car is cold, it doesnt seem to change transmisson gears, it drags out. When the blue light goes out it switchs. Its an automatic.

Smooth stable ride, nice sound system, many options included, ROOM for swapmeat junk!! Great visability, and it looks cute too! Good fit and finnish, great milege. Great car for the price!

Weakness:

Engine screams over 60mph, no temp gauge! Have you looked under the hood? plastic oil dipstick 50% plastic parts, when you open the doors it looks unfinnished (sharp edges, exposed bolts) needs a little more horsepower

Just bought my 2005 Scion, not 2004, and I love the room, it handles great and easy and fun to drive, but sounds like it's going to blow up on the freeway above 60mph! Needs a 6th gear! The interior is very well done.Lot's of options at this price level!

Strength:

Looks - it grows on you. Ease of – driving, converting and get in and out of. Great Price and lots of room. Nothing else in the price range as a Mini-van.

Weakness:

I want better gas mileage. I only get 22/29. If I get the mileage up - It will be a 5 star to me!

2005 SCION - I love myThunder Cloud Metalic Scion XB. It is a wonderful car. It is fun to drive and watch people reactions to it. You sit a little higher in it than most cars; which makes it easy to get in and out of. The back seats go up and down with ease and the tailgate is easy to open. I love the view you get when you drive. It could have a center arm rest and a light in the cargo area but my only real complaint is that I am only getting 22 mpg in the city and 29 on the highway. Everyone else seems to get much better gas mileage. I wonder if that is because I had cruise control added. I only have 800 miles on my Scion and I am really enjoying it. If you have any ideas why my gas mileage is not better, please let me know at BoxyLadyXB@yahoo.com . This is the car I have been waiting for. Lots of room and small. Usually I am driving with only 1 or 2 people are in the front seat, but sometime I want to take more people or go to a garage sale and just pick up a table or a dresser. With this car I can do what I want and it is still a small car that is easy to park. On top of that, it really looks cool and I think people are surprised to see a middle age Lady driving the car! Not exactly who they marketed the car for.

Very nice looking, you get lots of head-turns and comments and lots of questions about "what is that thing?". Great gas mileage, lots of room, smooth ride, excellent sound system. I also have the under dash lighting system. If you want something neat, get that. It is really incredible at night. And, it is partially Toyota which has extreme quality and dependability

Weakness:

No lighting in the cargo area. No cargo net. Otherwise, not too many weaknesses for the great value!

Excellent Vehicle. I would never have imagined that it had this much room or was so much fun to drive! I have the manual transmission, which is ok, but I would have rather had the automatic. Excellent gas mileage and a very comfortable ride! I would definitely recommend to any age group of buyer. This car looks like it costs so much more than it does!!!

Strength:

Rock sold handling stability. Excellent 160 watt standard stereo with a unique equalizer system. Painting is top notch. Excellent sound proofing

Weakness:

Toyota should have used a larger, more responsive engine or (if fuel economy was their goal), add Toyota's excellent Hybrid engine system. The 15" tires appear a little anemic also. The wheel wells accomodate 17 incher "shoes" quite well. The wheel covers, while OK, don't make the visual impact that a set of alloy wheels would have made. If you are the Type A personality/driver who HAS to know what is going on with your car, you will probably be dissapointed since the xB has only a single, round, centrally located guage that doubles as a speedometer, fuel guage and tachymeter.

Love it or hate it. The Scion xB evokes such response. My wife and I are well out of the Scions intended "target market", but we fell in love with the car from the first moment we sat in it. "My God, the ROOM this thing has", my wife exclaimed. That is one of the most amazing things about the car. How a car can be so small on the outside and huge on the inside is unreal. Not exactly a speed demon this xB, but with the addition of a cold air intake, it becomes a tad more responsive. The suspension and braking system is excellent. The Vehicle Stability System adds a uncanny feeling of driving on rails especially in slippery conditions. "The Box" as we have named it, tended to lean when pushed into corners, but a DC Sports CS2 Front Strut Sway Bar eliminated most of that problem. The interior is well done with high quality components, The coverings of the dashboard, door panels and other areas is a very pliable, thick vinyl that is very attractive. We drove the xB from Harrisburg, PA to Ontario, Canada and got a respectable 32 mpg. The xB caused quite a commotion there, no one had seen one and we were constantly stopped and given the usual barrage of questions and pleadings to sit in it. We were friendly, but after the 30th or so person ambling up and saying "Its a beauty, eh?" "What is it?", "Where can I get one?", etc. One of the funniest happenings was late at night when we had parked the xB right outside our Hotel Room. At 1AM I looked out the window after hearing some talk and saw a group of 5-7 people milling around the car and two policemen standing there. I naturally thought that the police had just nabbed some car thiefs in the nick of time and went out to thank them. Actually the police had just stopped by the hotel after hearing from other police on their radios to "go see the neat car at the Hotel". They were just there with the other people leaving noseprints on the windows. I opened the car to let everyone sit in it and check it out. I've carbon fibered the dickens out of the interior and it is impressive. Another police car pulled up and said that the hotel staff had called them thinking there was a problem, so there I was with 5 onlookers, and 4 "Mounties" at 1AM. I should have got the camera out and sent it to Toyota for a commercial or something. In closing, as I said, you either love it or hate it and I've gotten some "That is one ugly piece of XXXX!" from the unenlightened.
