Strength:

DEPENDABILITY! It never breaks down. This car will last forever. Lots of features on the base model. Great car.

Weakness:

None worth mentioning.

This car was excellent, I had it for 10 years and 150,000 miles before the head gasket bit the dust and I decided to get a new car. This car is very dependable. I only changed the oil like every 7-10,000 miles instead of 3,000 and the Subaru never let up. Of course, I wouldn't suggest doing this, but that is how durable this car is. Also, the car was rear ended very hard and was very close to being totalled, but we got it fix and it was like that never happened. I had the '93 Impreza L model and it came with lots of features, like power windows, locks, steering, and brakes. The only problem I ever had with it was with the radio because a couple of the speakers broke, but that didn't really matter over all. Also, this car is very powerful for a four cylinder, after all they do use it for rallying.

Strength:

Engine Handling AWD

Weakness:

Interior Seats, Drivers-side seems loose and I am not heavy (160 lbs) Poor gas mileage for size of car (AWD may be a factor in this) Small rattles and interior quality seems low compared with the quality of the engine and drive-train

Overall, very happy with the Performance, plenty of power, lot's of space inside, handles great in all weather conditions. Interior seems rattly and seems to be getting worse. Almost had this car for 2 years now. Have considered getting rid of it yet..

I dont own a WRX but i was reading the reviews and had to say something. there is no such thing as turbo lag. There is no lag, the feeling is simply due to the fact that the car is accelerating w/o the turbo, and then in the higher RPM the turbo engages and u get a rush of power.

AWD, turbo, style of interior, momo, 6disc in dash, heated seats, 4 wheel disc, awesome handling. incredible acceleraction, smooth.

Weakness:

weak battery. non painted side skirts. stock speakers have no bass.

I needed a truck or something that could spin all 4 wheels due to the snow. my dad pointed out subaru and i fell in love with the wrx immediatly. sexy, smooth, FAST and handles like a dream. Cold mornings i turn up the heated seats and in summer i let hte a/c crank. the car is fully loaded even for a base model! A tuners dream as well!

Acceleration, AWD, turbo, stiff cornering, handling, 6 CD changer, MOMO wheel.

This car hauls!!! At first my option were a Celica GTS or the WRX. Then i realized that theres not much difference in the price so i leaned more on the WRX. When i heard about the 350Z, i feel in love. I almost bought the car too but it was too much. So i ended up with the WRX. One of my greatest decisions. I never regreted buying it. AWD and turbo, u cant go wrong. The ride is very smooth, acceleration is pretty fast, and cornering is very stable.

Strength:

Acceleration, handling and price. Because of the dealer $3000 discount I was able to add the rear spoiler, turbo boost gauge, carbon fiber dash kit, short throw shifter, security system, upgraded stereo with subwoofer and upgraded speakers for the regular sticker price of the vehicle.

Weakness:

I haven't really found a weakness yet. I did add the rear spoiler because it improves the rear of the car tremendously.

I actually had intended to buy a new Nissan 350Z. My local dealer had advertised 2003 WRX's at $3000 below sticker price. I went and drove the car and had to have it. I had a 1969 Camaro Z28 and a 1970 Mustang Mach 1 years ago and this is the most fun car to drive since those muscle cars. I am still breaking it in but the handling and the rush when the turbo kicks in is a blast. I recommend this car to anyone wanting top notch performance at a reasonable price.

I love my '97 Impreza Outback Sport. 'Got it for $8k off the lot, ($9k value as per Kelly Blue Book....nice). Has 85k miles, 5-speed, 2.2 liter, A/C. The thing handles great and has nice torque (esp. between 3k and 4k rpm). Road noise can be a beeaaitch but I can deal with that... (i.e. new stereo). Some people gripe about the cup holders, which do suck.. but if that's your main concern then buy a big-ass S.U.V. like the rest of the idiots. Over-all it's a great performer for the buck, factor in the all-wheel drive and the fact I got it for $1k under blue book and it's been a real winner for me....so far. I checked out recalls for that model on-line and printed them out. I then called my local Subaru dealer and he had me read him the cars V.I.N.. According to "THE DATABASE" I need the hood-scoop fix which keeps H20 from the O2 sensor. Great, no cost to me yet. I'm also planning on having the engine oil, MT oil, and rear differential oil changed. I just replaced the air filter so I think I'm good until the next engine oil change. I may do the plugs and wires myself but I want a torque wrench just to be especially anal. MAIN POINTS: 1.GREAT CAR!!! 2.Great price 3.4-doors 4.Sporty as a wagon can get.. 5.Not an S.U.V. ;)

Strength:

Acceleration, handling, responsive, solid chassis, FAST, most excellent turbo whistle.

Weakness:

Tires, Tires, did I say tires? Tossed them for BFG KDWS, G-Force, 225/50/16. The loud beep when you set the alarm.

I first test drove this car in June of 2001. I was so impressed that I had to have one. Options: Carbon Fiber Trim, Short throw Shifter, Upgraded speakers, Turbo gauge, titanium shift knob, arm rest, rear diff protector. So far, it has been great. I drive it far too much, and can't stop. I live near Hwy 1, so I tend to drive up and down the coast very early in the morning on Saturdays for a shakedown. No car has come close to keeping up with me. Installed K&N airfilter, Redline Racing oil, Redline gear oil, Redline brake fluid. Seems so much faster. Spool up is a lot better. "If you can't drive a WRX fast, you can't drive fast."

Strength:

Reliability and durability. Inexpensive to own and operate. Good (not great) gas mileage.

Weakness:

1.8L 4 cylinder is weak. So weak, in fact, that Subaru doesn't even use the 1.8L anymore.

This car is like the Energizer Bunny...it keeps going and going. I've had it almost 10 years and outside of oil changes and tires, I've only put about $700 into it for brakes. Currently I have 130,000 miles on it and I could probably double that easily.
