IROC-Z 305
Strength:
Everything. Power, looks, handling, reliability. and umm did i mention power?
Weakness:
Ummmmm......... A/C broken on a black car in the summer. Other than that none, again I myself love power so...... plan to give it a little more in the future. I love my car. Since I purchased it I have put in a full PPI sound system. K&N filters, a new cat-back dynomax exhaust, Advanced the timing, new radiator and an oil and transmission cooler. It growls like a beat now, i love it. I just gotta get the A/C fixed now that its the summer. If ya wanna see it go to www.geocities.com/camaromandan/home.html Similar Products Used: 1985-1990 5.0's, 240sx , 944 turbo's, 80's supras, even some of the new mustangs....... |

Strength:
V8 power is great, I like the low end of the LT1 alot, my vehicle was completely stock and posted a 13.89@98.6 at Morosso Motorsports park. Handling is good though the A4 tends to kick down and knock the tail out, so either get a manual or watch throttle usage. Car looks great, paint looked brand new after several years.
Weakness:
GM cannot get these dang window motors right. They failed on my 93V6 and they failed again on my Z. They are 600$ to repair. It is ridiculous. Minor rattles do happen. I drive a 99 Integra now and compared to the Camaro it is built like a TANK. However it does not have 275hp loosening every nut and bolt at stoplights. Also, the doors are a PAIN IN THE REAR as they are too big. You pay your money and you make your choice. I love my Acura but when my lease is up in May my money will go to a V8 again :) Good car.. I bought in 97 and traded in 99.. excellent looking vehicle and very strong motor. Similar Products Used: 93 Camaro V6: The 3.4L is PATHETIC. |

IROC-Z
Strength:
The 350 v-8 pulls like no other. Also test drove some early 90's mustangs and they couldn't hold a candle. I'm not biased towards either manufacturer, I like mustangs and Camaro's, but the IROC just pulls harder. The IROC is also built better (the same year mustangs were crap, every one I tested had missing door handles and interior falling apart). The car has nice tight suspension and rides on 245/50VR/16 tires. My car came with the stock Goodyears (13 year old tires!!) so I put some Yokohama Avid V4 tires on it (ironic, japanese tires on an american car) But since it rains up here all the time, they had the best wet weather performance of the bunch. The interior is in mint condition, and all the devices work.
Weakness:
The car is 13 years old and a pony car so it has its share of rattles. Also the stock air filters are flimsy and restrictive, so I put K&N airfilters on the car. I also have to replace the rear hatch shock supports, they wear out fast since the hatch is so heavy. The doors and such are really heavy. My '92 Pontiac Grand Prix got totalled so I decided that now I would be able to afford a 3rd generation Camaro since insurance wouldn't be so expensive like it would be on a new one (I'm only 23). I looked on Ebay and found a black '88 IROC owned by a lady in her 40's (original owner). The car only had 87,000 mi on it in 13 years! She had every receipt and totally babied the car. The carfax checked out as well. Clean, clean, Super Clean. T-Tops. The only thing missing are three of the wheel center decals. The IROC is the Option-93 Decal delete model. The only way to tell it's an IROC is the side badge, and the badge on the dash. No big IROC decals. Similar Products Used: '92 Pontiac Grand Prix: gets blown away no question |

I love the acceleration on this car. Eventhough its not a manual, I still do great with my automatic, if there's even much of a difference. Horsepower, torque, acceleration, and styling are among the best ever.
Weakness:
Entry with the big doors isn't too bothersome, and there's no room for a cd player. Not too many of my passengers are happy with the big lump on the passenger's side either. I've just started driving recently and it was a blast to drive such a fine piece of machinery. I have raced off the line with some of the best of the sports car and I can honestly say that I have never lost yet. Eventhough I have only been driving for such a short while, I still have beaten many people with my stock 305hp engine. Similar Products Used: Compared to the 92 accord and 91 caprice, the handling is better and probably acceleration too. The camaro delivers the goods. |

Peppy v-6, awesome looks, many options
Weakness:
the air controls light burned out and i dont know how to fix it The best car ever i have ever owned and i love it. I am a 17 year old who has been driving for just over a year. I worked all year to save money for this car and i am by no means dissapointed. I hear people talk about its just a V-6, but come on would you rather pass someone in a blue camaro with t-tops or a big clunky ford,(yes i said Ford)? Personaly i would rather have the V-6 chick magnet. i pull up to the light and everyone looks, its just a sweet ride. So you V-8 junkies shut up and think about what is the best looking car ever made. The Camaro. Similar Products Used: 95 F-150, 97 Jeep cherokee, 95 Jeep Wrangler(smokes em all) |

Performance, seat of the pants driving experience, Handling is great with F1 Tires, Roar of exhaust and ram-Air make this a very effective potent performer. Pewter finish rally shines.
Weakness:
Going away in 2002, seats could be more supportive, brakes could be better. Car has head-turning appeal, very fast tight car. Same as A Corvette but has 4 seats, and is about 20K cheaper. Slp did a great job with my SS centermount exhaust is awesome. Chrome 10 spoke wheels, and auburn rear axle,SS car mats,SS rear deck mat,SS key FOBS and dash plaque are all high quality. Just ordered an 02 anniversary edition SS as after 02 no more Camaro which will make this car a classic. In 01 6322 SS Camaro's were built VS. 175,000 Mustang GT's giving the Camaro owner a better chance of having a classic muscle car. Similar Products Used: Compared to a Mustang it out performs and out handles it but for about 4K including quality SLP Parts. |

handling, insurance, tickets, nobody wanting to take on a race There may be a lot of people with different opinions, but in my case, this car is the sh**! The best muscle car out there, and for those who oppose it must have a serious personal problem. Eyecatching, fast, roaring exhaust, what else might a musclecar freak want?
