Strength:

Horsepower. Handeling. Performance. Looks and its a fox magnet.

Weakness:

I don't have two.

I am totally happy with this corrvette. It is the best vehicle I have ever owned. And Ive had them all from a porsche to a mutang. This car beats them all. As form the cry babys who do not appreciate fine cars than buy a jeep. This car is not heavy, has good gas mileage. I just drove from fl to ca and averaged 31 miles to the gal. Try that with a mustang.

1995 Corvette
Model Reviewed: Corvette/Coupe

Strength:

Power, Brakes, Low-Cost, Fun-to-drive, Performance, Good Looks, and Resale Value.

Weakness:

Limited cargo space, interior uses too much plastic, and delicate paint finish.

The performance of this car surpasses many cars costing thousands more. The car is over 8 years old and still gets alot of attention. I bought it used from someone who was alittle extreme about taking care of a car if that is possible. After 5 years it only had 33,900 miles. At that time it could have almost passed for showroom condition. I take care very good care of it, but I drive it. My corvette is black/black/black with the standard LT1 300HP engine and MXO automatic transmission (4L60-E) with a 2.59 rear-axle. The performance is very smooth at all speeds. The power comes on early and continues all the way to its redline of 5500. The person buying the car didn't opt for the Performance Ratio G92 3.07 rear-axle. Gas Mileage is very good for a car of this caliber, 19 city and 27 highway. I could probably get better if I would drive 55 MPH, but who can in a car like this. The brakes for 1995 Covettes are the same ones used on the ZR-1 (ABS/ASR 5). The traction control system is wornderful on wet roads, but sometimes annoying when you would like to spin the tires. The clear-coat/base-coat paint makes my black corvette look like the paint is always wet. It is so shinny. The only drawback is that it is so easy to scatch. So you have to wax it to remove the little spider scatches. Like anything used on a regular bases repairs must be made. Over the past 3 years that I have owned it I have replaced the battery, right headlight motor, and 3 tires. Chevrolet told me that the 1994-96 Corvette's received a hotter ignition which reduces the normal lifespan of the factory battery. I had a horrible mess, because the lead to the battery melted to the post. After replacing the battery the problem was resolved. I think it was the mass produced battery (hecho in Mexico). The liftback is helpful for carrying things, but the paint is very unforgiving. No matter how careful you are your clothing rubbing against the soft paint will lightly scratch it. A great option that Chevrolet unfortunately did away with is the passive-keyless-entry system. There is no way to lock your keys in the car with this option. I guess this reduced potential customers from signing-up for OnStar so Chevrolet went to the traditional key entry system. Do not loose this, because they cost $140 to replace. I found a spare on Ebay. In addition, this corvette has the leather adjustable sport bucket seats a $625 option (standard on ZR-1). This allows the seats to change to fit you. Very nice option if comfort is important. The Bose stereo AM/FM/CD/Cassette is fabulous. Bose did a great job by designing the system specifically for the car. The electronic climate controled system is very nice, but this kind of equipment is almost available on every car at this time 8 years later. The roof is removable, but I would not recommend this for an extended period of time. While driving the car without the roof panel the car feels loose especialy on uneven surfaces. The stock exhaust system on this car is quiet for my taste. I would prefer the sound that comes from the Z28 and Trans-Am. The guages on this car can be alittle hard to understand at first glance. However, the digital instrumentation provides: Trans Oil Temp., Engine Oil Temp., Water Temp., Engine Oil Pressure, Voltage, fuel, trip mileage, available miles, avg. MPG, and instant MPG. Overall I have found this car to be very enjoyable to drive everyday. The best part about this car is the price, affordable. If you want a true sportscar than try this one. However keep in mind that there aren't really any streets that you can truely challenge this car. Its capabilities can only be found on a race track. If you floor the accelerator you will be traveling at a high-rate of speed very very soon.

WORST CAR MISTAKE I EVER MADE. Traded at 60k miles, bought new in 2000. In the shop 23 times in three yrs. Fourteen of which were overnight stays. Towed in four times. Trans cable broke, trans shift sensors failed, steering column lock jammed twice, fuel tanks sensors failed, power seat controls shorted, wiper drain hose stopped up & water built up in fan section spraying back through interior, headlamps stablizer had to be replaced, stero had to be replaced, door panel leather pulled away from frame & replaced, idle clutch replaced, engine computer relays replaced twice, etc. This does not include the difficulty of maintaining the four wheel alignment of which I had done eight times in 60 k miles & four sets of tires. DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE PURCHASE A CORVETTE! VERY UNRELIABLE! VERY DISAPPOINTING FROM A BUY AMERICAN STANDPOINT!

Engine runs hot, as did my 2 other C4's- get redline water wetter! Take care of the car and it has few weaknesses

1994 Dark Red Metallic Coupe. ( Only 5200 miles )All around it's a corvette, what more can you say! It looks great performs great and is a blast to drive. This is my 3rd vette and I planned on upgrading again but I won't for a while now. I didn't get a great deal but I did get a great car that is 9 years old but almost brand new. It pays to take care of these cars. I will baby the car as well. I hate to see people beat and drive these cars hard! Why would you have to prove what they have? Any ways great car-I would recommend a C4 to anyone!

It took me 47 years to get the car I always wanted, and it was worth the wait. It rides like a sports car, it feels like a sports car, and looks like a sports car. At first my family was not for it, but now they would not sell it for anything. Zero to 60 is a rush, to 100 will blow you alway. Someday I will buy a new one. I've been to the production plant twice for the free tour, and that is worth a days vacation to see.
