Ford Mustang (2010 and older) Sports

DESCRIPTION

The Mustang has been redesigned for 2010. Fresh new sheet metal wraps around an updated interior, giving the icon a more modern look and feel.

The Mustang is available either as a coupe or convertible. Each is available with a V6 or a V8. The 210-hp 4.0L V6 carries over unchanged. The 4.6L V8 receives an increase in power - producing 315-hp for 2010. A five-speed manual transmission is standard; a five-speed automatic is optional. All Mustangs are equipped with standard electronic stability control and LED sequential tail lamps for enhanced safety.

Strength:

Pleasing power and exhaust tone. Increased power, good commuting car.

Weakness:

Poor gas milage, small glove box, rides too damm rough, 1st/rev hard to acquire in gears, cheap looking plastic interior for the $$$. Only 12K miles so far, questionable potential future problems..Had 20+ year old Porsche which rode 100% better?

Well matched engine/car size. Ergonomics and smooth ride were overlooked in design.

after reviewing this sight i think most of you people dont deserve to own one of these cars..talking about power...you own a v-6...and you bought a 13000 dollar car..you know like a sunfire. and your brakes and clutch will go bad... its a sports car..it takes abuse...whena car makes 300 plus ft-lbs of torque it will destroy a clutch... and all of you people trying to compare these cars to japanese cars...you are way off line. first of all if you want an arguement then lets look at this. what you call a sports car..ie. civic integra eclipse..they all have a design that takes the weight off of the drive wheels when acelerating...and in curves can we say understeer.. i would much rather drift my mustang then try to steer a car with spinning front tires. also dont give me that japan cars are way more reliable...they both will be reliable if you take the time and change oil spark plugs and trans fluid/gear oil. i live in japan and have driven a r33 skyline gtr a 97 rx-7 a 94 300 zx a 1988 toyota soarer(lexus sc 400)a 1988 and 82 z. these cars break all the time... its called abuse...all sports cars go through it..and if yours isnt maybe you just dont have enough fun...or power for that matter. any civic guys tired of tweaking/ breaking half-shafts. lets try this you try to build a 6000 dollar car with 500 horses and awesome handling (yes it can be done..so many suspension companies ie griggs racing steeda kenny brown saleen along with countless other companiex have tamed the rough chassis) cause it cant be done. try making a reliable 500 horsepower 4 cylinder... its hard if you plan on using it. hello as horsepower increases so does maintenance. you know they rebuild the 7500 horse top fuel cars after every quarter mile run...gotta love nitromethane. the fox body...76-93 is the easist to tune/build and has more variety of parts than any other car..look it up. want a turbo set-up...about 6 companies make numerous setups for these. supercharger?? ati(procharger), vortech, powerdyne, saleen, frpp, should i keep going. oh and for the its not confortable........it is a american sports car if you don''t like it the i hope you enjoy viewing tail lights in the drag races.

What strengths?

Weakness:

almost everything. Poor engine.

What was I thining getting a piece fo junk like this saleen mustang. I''ve raced against a lot of cars, but only beat a supra. I still can''t come close to beating the ss intimidator camaros w/395hp. I even lost to a stock ss. Don''t let the mustangs fool you, believe me, their crap. Those boys at chevy sure know what their doing, unlike ford

Strength:

handilng was pretty good. It could survive a nuclear fallout or a really fat lady. A great car to drive. Gas milage was exceptional. The engine could also take a severe beating.

Weakness:

It severly needed more power. I had numerous people challenge me but i just couldn''t get it up. broke down several times (a day).

This car is a piece of excrement but none the less fun as hell to drive. One plus is the gas milege. Some of of the ladies like the car too.

Strength:

This car is amazing! This is one mean v6. One strength is if you want to show off for some buddies just hold the brake and give her some gas......you''ll leave a posi patch with alot of smoke. Believe me..some guys broght over a 93 lumina z34 and started talkin about it i was like ok talk about this i went out there and just lit um up....their next words were "dude take me a ride". The low end torque is great you can definantly feel all 315 lbs of it. Will burry the speedometer in third gear..now that is movin.

Weakness:

Well if you buy one you might as well be ready for your drivers side window to come off track, unfortunantly for me i had both come off track. I had to replace a water pump at 90000. The good thing is it isnt as hard as you would think. But there is one HUGE weakness on the behalf of the engineering of this car...the speedometer only reads 125. The sad thing is that i bury that in third gear. But i know i have had it up to 130 no questions.

All i have wanted since i got my license was a thunderbird SC. well i got one. I found a 1990 red sc for sale with 87000...lets just say i got it 3 days later. It''s red, auto, sunroof, cloth interior. One hell of a car.

Mustang GT 50
Model Reviewed: GT 5.0

Strength:

Best 5.0 engine car you can ever find.

Weakness:

Handling. Not a good idea to drive in the rain and forget about snow.

Great american muscle car. By just setting on it you can feel the V8 power. Powerful car but the handling makes it a little bit of a disadvantage in a high way race. Too much torque. But great for drag racing.

Honda Prelude 1998. Great handling and great VTEC engine but no japanese car comes even closer to an american muscle car. And honda civic Si not recommended at all. Too expenive and no power at all.
