Ford Mustang (2010 and older) Sports

DESCRIPTION

The Mustang has been redesigned for 2010. Fresh new sheet metal wraps around an updated interior, giving the icon a more modern look and feel.

The Mustang is available either as a coupe or convertible. Each is available with a V6 or a V8. The 210-hp 4.0L V6 carries over unchanged. The 4.6L V8 receives an increase in power - producing 315-hp for 2010. A five-speed manual transmission is standard; a five-speed automatic is optional. All Mustangs are equipped with standard electronic stability control and LED sequential tail lamps for enhanced safety.

Strength:

Very reliable,Front seats are very comortable, smooth cornnering,Decent power for a 2.3L,Paint holds up good,Fun to drive. Easy to work on, Can pull a lot more power out of it with simple add on's, Looks good from the front and sides

Weakness:

Auto<4 cyl<< what can i say?
Goes through oil fairly fast(driving style most likely) Very poor handiling when its raining or snowing.<Incredibley small trunk,
Rear end is kind of stupid looking.

I would definatley recommend it. If you take real good care of it, it will take care of you. It has its problems like the trunk and the fact that it has oil burning problems but just look after it. I bought it used from a friend for $1600 and I could probaly sell it for $5000 or better. Its a great car but be very careful in heavy rain and snow.

Ive driven older prelude's and celicas in the past. I like the mustang a whole lot better. The 4cyl,if you want to put the money into it, can preform almost as well as the 5L

Strength:

exterior look is very sharp, upgraded sound system is awesome, power is excellent, very smooth and comfortable ride, great deal for price paid

Weakness:

seat belt tends to come out of support on seatback (I don't keep it in there any more), the interior i got (charcoal) is a bit dull because everything (dash and components) is the same color, stereo system consol could be a bit more ergonomically designed

I paid 20,450 for the coupe with the sports appearance group , upgraded stereo system, Aluminum rims, alarm system, and convenience package. It is definetly a great deal, compared to other cars around the same price range, for every aspect from performance to available options. I would recommend this car to anyone, but only if they plan on driving themselves and one other person, because the back seat is only big enough for The Club.

Strength:

simple, cheap, and powerful! what more do you want for under $6000? (i bought the car used in '95 for $4500 with only 64,000 miles, yeowch! did i mention it's a 5.0 five speed manual COUPE? (choice model for serious drag-racers). lots of muscle for very little dough.

Weakness:

well for the money, you can't be too picky. but if anything, the ride is a bit stiff, and cornering is still a little sloppy. a set of "Z" rated tires helps the stickiness (especially in the rain), and a sports suspension setup in the future should do nicely.

cheap. fast. easy to work on (even in this day of computer chips and fuel injection). the dependable budget musclecar.

Strength:

Power, power, power. Cheap ! Engine is incredible, other than oil changes, no engine problems. Transmission is solid as well. Aside from gas and insurance, the lowest cost maintenance car I've ever owned. The most reliable car I've ever owned.

Weakness:

Stylying, box look. Rust (after 10 years in Canadian winter)

13,995. Definitely reconmended. Had to switch when I got married and had 2 kids. IF not, I would still be driving the Mustang. I will seriously consider the Mustang in the future if I ever buy another sports car.

Weakness:

no complaints here

17,000 highly recommended , best bang for the buck , at 200 hp stock , its pretty quick , i beat integra gsr's , mustang gt's, 3000gt's,if you want to save money and still have good performance , then buy this car

Model Reviewed: Mustang Cobra Convertible

Strength:

With it's stock 320hp 318ft/lb tq DOHC V8 engine this car flies and pulls hard. This is by far the most fun car I've driven before. The IRS is a definite improvement over the live axle in the GT model. It's also easy to bolt on performance to the mustang which is a plus. The body styling on this car is just steller. I get tons of compliments about my car's looks especially since I added chrome wheels. The MACH 460 is a very nice sounding stock stereo system. I love the Interior styling and overall look as well.

Weakness:

Doesn't get great gas milage but I didn't buy it for that anyway.
Not much trunk space but I don't use it to travel so who cares.

Overall I couldn't be happier with my car. I've had it about a year now and haven't had one problem with it yet. Can't wait for the supercharged cobras that will be coming out within the next couple years but until then I'm having a blast with my 1999 Cobra.

Model Reviewed: /Mustang

Strength:

-Sharp design
-Fun to drive
-Good sound system

Weakness:

-Underpowered (base V6)only 160hp
-Cupholder placement is terrible, manual shift WILL hit any cup placed there.
-No head/leg room in rear seats. But of course, it is a sports car.
-Loves drinking gas(might be the way I drive though)
-Traction(snow)almost nonexistent on packed snow or ice. 2000 models now offer traction control I believe.

Pretty good value. Paid almost 18k for this car, w/5-spd, AM/FM, CD, Cruise Control. My wife's car really. I'm not that crazy about sport cars...I prefer larger cars/trucks. This is a nice car to drive everyday. Don't try too much racing in it, some economical 4cyl cars will chew this vehicle up. Overall, I would recommend the GT rather than the V6 at minimum - if you like to feel some ooomph!

* Best car out there today for the value. Goodluck buying a V6 sports car for the same price. Go forien if you want, but you will not get the same HP (190). You will also pay way too much for forein cars.
* I would have not given up my 95 Probe if I didn't think this car was worth it.

The power, handling, very stylish.

Long shifter throw, wish it was a little closer.

I really paid for the car but I'm also getting what I paid. The new Mustangs has better acceleration and performance and it is a much better car than before. I approve.

I love this car!! I bought it new in late 97 and I still love this car!! Nope, i'm not bored with it at all cause it's soooo much fun to drive...and the fact that it has a nice set of Flowmaster mufflers makes it even better
Has all leather seats Mach460 sound and 99.9% stock...I want another one..where do I sign..?!!!!!!

Weakness:

It is a bird magnet.. :) lol

I bought this car fully loaded and i recommend the ford Mustang GT (97) and beyond. After reading some of the other owners comments about how much they dislike their Mustang, It made me believe that they are badly treating their car...I check my car and inspect it everyday. Once a week i wash it. I inspect the fluids and make sure the tires are properly inflated. So next time someone itches about their stang...try and get a copy of their maintainance records. :) Good Luck with the G.T.
