power, power, power. comfortable. looker. cheap to run except for insurance

the seat material doesnt seem to wear that well. check engine comes on alot even though there is no difference in the performance.... do all fords do this???

I love the stock power of this car. i can beat most cars on the road. Mustangs are one of the best looking sports cars on the road today. the car is comfortable to drive around. the sound of these cars are awesome. i personally think that these are the best sounding cars out there. i feel that it is reliable and gets decent gad mileage for the size of the engine since i know v-6 out there that get way worse. overall I love this car

With the 5.0 liter engine it has plenty of pep and is a blast to cruise around with the top down with friends.

Not many here, if I could change anything about the car I'd rather have a spoiler, but thats easily going to be added

Black on Black, looks great, runs great, fun car to drive. So many upgrades are available, I'm going to add silver stripes and a spoiler for looks, a chip and some new exhaust for proformance. Lots of easily obtainable parts.

I've played with alot of cars, Camaros, Firebirds, Jap cars, whatever, this is easy to work on and fun to drive, I love it.

Strong engine. Low end torque. On of a kind exhaust note. Cheap aftermarket parts. Bad looking. Acceptable supportive seats. Cold A/C (when it was working). It can be a very fast car with little mods. Fun in rain and snow. Easy to work on.

Weak 5 speed transmission.
Loves gas (93 octane because of the timing advance).
Interior rattles and leaks.
Too much fun in rain and snow (what's up with that sudden oversteer?).
Road and wind noise.
No damn cup holders.
Damn cops magnet.
Drum rear brakes.
I hate the Overdrive 5th gear.
What I'm supposed to do with the 85 miles speedometer?
Too much firm suspention.
No down force! (lift generate when going 100+ mph).
Live rear axle.
15" wheels cant be cleand.

-The engine lacks high-end horsepower. A Ford Racing GT-40 intake seems to solve the problem.
-The origenal T5 blowup, it was replaced with a rebuilt one which blowup after 19K miles, Now I have Ford Racing super-heavy-duty T5 which said to have more torque capacity. It seems to work well, I like it's 2.95:1 ratio first gear, it gets the car to 50 miles on the standard 3.08 rear end, but it has a taller than stock fifth gear.
-I changed the front tires to Pirelli's 8000 series. They work like magic. The car charecter has changed. 95% of the understeer is gone, now it oversteers like crazy.
-The sound system sucks, I replaced the speakers and installed a Sony piece and a 10 CD changer. It really cranks now.
-I LOVE this car, aftermarket offers many replacement parts, from a steering wheel with cruise cotrol bottoms to a rear independent suspention (which can be installed from the Cobra with some mods).

got to have more power. handling could be better. insurance, if youre young its gonna cost you.

First mustang,. good power but need more. absolutely love the car paid alittle to much but who cares . insurance is outrageous if youre young but couldnt of picked a better car unless i could have got a cobra. definetely going to upgrade and easy to . have to if i want to keep up with the camaro owners of the world.

Stunning bang for the buck but when one is used to driving Aston Martins
Porsches and Ferraris it proves to be all too crude. Nice runabout for your average american teenager though.

Anyone who tries to drop my Aston Martin [Vanquish] "at the lights" in one of these is going to be SEVERELY embarrassed however...

the engen strong for a 4 cylender and fun but just dosen't have that kick
but a 302 will fit right in it and I would rather have an Lx than a GT becuase there lighter and have less wind resistance than the GT so it's faster

I Love the car it's the best car I have ever owned it gets good gas millige for its hoursepower look great runs good never hade any major problems I do all the work on it myself its fast, fun, and easy

Power, appearance, smooth ride, sound system.

Cheap dash board (seems like a ticking sound emanates from a new place every day). Fake hood-scoop and side-scoops.

Considering the price tag, the GT is quite a car. The power is not bad (but of course it could use more) and the handling is pretty good, too. Definitely a head turner, even stock, and the sound system is great if you're not looking for a sub-woofer on wheels. Slimmer than the Camaro which feels like a boat when you're steering it around the highway.

EXCELLENT, the Best, Fast, Powerful, Great Brakes, Great handling, Highly Recommended. Quick 0-60 and Quarter Mile. Good sounding exhaust, not to loud. Nice Sound system. love the laser red color. You must buy one of these cars. Worth the extra $5000 over the GT. Much better car over all than anything GM has to offer.

Very bad handling on bumps, potholes, turns and especially in rain. The car is called a pony car for a reason, give it some juice PLEASE Ford. Its ranked as a sports car, so give it a chance!!

The Ford Mustang... not as fast as it used to be, thats for sure. I own a 2001 V-6 Mustang with only 1200 miles so far. Yes it is nice, but very underpowered. 193 hp is definetly not enough. Just last week I was laughed at by a grandpa in a lincoln Ls V-6 cause he raced me and won. What is that Ford. Its a great car and all but give it a chance. I was hoping for atleast 215-225 hp.
