Strength:

50/50 perfect weight distribution. Light weight, engine bay has room to work with, handling, 120 hp per liter!!! 9,000 RPM!! 6 speed! (even M3 is only 5)Only car that comes close to that RPM is ferrari!

Weakness:

2 seater

Okay, so I don't own one. I've never driven one. But I'm a Honda enthusiast and I can tell you this car rocks. I've heard 0 - 60 times of 5.5- 5.8 seconds! In a 2 liter Inline 4!!! I've seen this car on the road and been in it at the dealer. They wouldn't let me drive without putting a deposit and I'm friends with the salesman. This car is very rare, and dealer markup is generally high (7-8 k in texas). It is worth it though. I popped the hood and saw there is ample room to work with underneath. Since it is RWD (Thank God honda has finally made a reasonably priced RWD car!) It can handle substantial more power when modified than other Hondas (as far as loss of traction is concerned) Anyways, I wish I had one because the first thing I'd do is get a Jackson RAcing supercharger kit put in. I contacted Jackson rAcing and they are working on a kit for it. Similar kits run 3 - 4k, and increase power by 40 - 50 percent with a 100k warranty, AND I'm pretty sure Honda will cover it if you get it done by them (I know guys with J/R supercharged civics and Comptech supercharged Integras that Honda/Acura warranties). After supercharging, your car will be at around 340 hp. That should take your 0 - 60 times to at least high 4's and low 13's in quarter, (probably a 4.7 and a 13.1 quarter) That is Vette territory people, all in a better handling, more reliable, better resale, and more admired car! Oh, did I mention Gas mileage actually improves with Supercharging? yup, about 2 - 3 mpg City! Anyways, check out www.jacksonracing.com. No, I don't work for them, but I highly reccomend it for you!

The car is simply awesome in person. People rave over the cars looks. It handles great but still has a firm but decent ride. Gearbox as good has Miatas. I am 6'2" 180 lbs. and car fits me great. Engine is plenty powerful. Car is like a 150% scale Miata. Car at MSRP is an awesome value.

Weakness:

Plastic rear window, no clock, lack of storage, only two poor speakers.

This is everything I've ever wanted in a car. 9000rpm, rear wheel drive, limited slip differential, two seater convertable, exclusivity. It's an amazing package for only $32,000 USD.

Strength:

Of all of the convertibles I've driven or owned, this one has the stiffest, most responsive ride, and I can expand that to include the majority of the hard top cars I've driven. The styling is classy, distinctive and timeless. Nearly every aspect of this car was very obviously well thought out, right down to the tire size (16" tires, rather than 17", which are incredibly more expensive and unnecessary on this car).

Weakness:

The speakers in the car are not what I would expect in a $32,000 car. The head unit itself is good, but the speakers distort badly when the volume is up loud enough to hear it at 60 mph. There isn't a glove box or storage space that is accessible while the car is in motion, nor are there door pockets for such things as a tissue, spare pen or a map.

This car is the most incredible driving experience I've ever had, and I don't plan to ever sell mine. If Honda claims this isn't a capstone work of art, I don't see what they could do differently to turn out a car as highly lauded and cherished by Honda enthusiasts.

Amazingly hugs the road even in rain. Fast and just way too much fun. Pick up when vtec kicks in is unbelievable for a 4 cylinder engine. The top can be down in seconds. Honda again came through with a winner.

Weakness:

No glove box but lots of little areas for storage. Should have a clock somewhere.

So far the best sports car I have owned. You get everything BMW or Mercedes gives you for a lot less money. Definitely something you have to drive to appreciate. Totally blows you away.

Strength:

The ability to corner on a pin, no matter what the road conditions. Loves the wet, remains very docile no matter how much rain there is. From 15mph up to 60mph it eats the road, 96 meters less than a Z3. The instruments are something that most non-owners hate, digital, but they are excellent. You know exactly how fast you are going and the tacho is visible whilst lokking forward. As mentioned earlier it is affordable to run, not like M3's etc.

Amazing brakes, they just stop without any drama whatsoever and they cool very quickly.

Great leg room and arm room. I'm only 5'10, but most 6+ footers are amazed at how much room they have. Passengers love it.

Weakness:

Speakers, small fuel tank, internal storage (lack of) plastic rear window, no clock, rear view mirror too low on windscreen (poor visibility). Trunk won't fit tire, so if you get a flat the passenger will have to hold it while you use the emergency tire!

Overall this is an ultimate package. It gives excellent power/looks/performance per dollar that is hard to match.

It is difficult to ge a handle on it's looks at first, it changes depending on the setting and angle of view. It is almost impossible to photograph correctly.

One great factor is that it will be very limited production, only 10,000 per year world wide. This should see an excellent return on investment later.

It is just a pure joy to drive. But it is not a highway cruiser. It wants the secondary roads.

The gearbox is super smooth with no stick travel. The shift rests naturally in the palm of you hand, when you are resting your arm on the centre console, a little snick and you have the next gear.

It want's to be driven, however will jus punt around town if you have to, no drama, except hill starts are a bit trickier than usual.

Very little wind intrusion and the heater/air REALLY works so you are kept beyond warm when it's cool outside.

Strength:

Looks, the inevitable "what is it?" questions, FUN to drive, quick. I'm 6'5" and can FIT in it. I laughed when I tried to get in an Audi and the Z3. It's faster than a Z3, no matter what the boneheads below say, however you do have to be a good driver- not just mash the skinny pedal and hope. It handles like its on rails, gets 20 MPG AND was under $33K
perfect combination if you want a roadster. - to the poeple that b|tch about not having a smooth ride, ot leather wrapped glove box, buy a cadilac and leave the race cars to the racers.

Weakness:

ok, plastic back window sucks, no clock, factory 17" rims would have been nice. Better speakers are cheap, but honda should have thought of that.

Great car for the cash. Dealers try to gouge an extra $3K-$10K over sticker, $40K seems to be a popular price, but look around, they can be had for sticker or a little less. They should hold thier value since they aren't flooding the market like Z3's.
The car is NOT for everyone. That stated, it's alot like a Jeep in that you'll love it or hate it. drive it before ya buy it. If you fall in love, write a check, if not, keep looking.

Strength:

Acceleration, HANDLING, good looks. Respectable fuel mileage.

Weakness:

Premium fuel, bumpy ride, semi-difficult clutch.

The Honda Prelude is a semi-civilized sports coupe. Much nicer and roomier than the Integra GS-R which I was looking into. The high-revving engine and stiff clutch take time to get use to but when mastered offer the ultimate driving experience. The handling is surgeon-precise and the car goes where you point it.
The noise and slightly harsh ride take a while to get used to. This is not a problem for a performance enthusiast but for a comfy people hauler, look elsewhere. The handling is truly a marvel for front drive sport coupes.

Similar Products Used:

Integra GSR - About the same performance but much less civilized.
Volvo 850 - Horrible everything.
Lexus ES300 - Much more elegant but lacks performance appeal.

Steering, Steering wheel, shifter, transmission, engine, tires, chassis, brakes, convertible top in the sun, looks, and most of all....the fun factor.

Weakness:

Plastic window...umm.... did i say plastic window?? :) oh yeah...the boot is hard to get on the rag top when it is down... oh well :)

I actually bought the Hardtop option, but it doesn't come till October or so. So grand total was $36375. I got mine for MSRP plus cost of hardtop.

What can I say....I love it. I am soooo happy that I bought this car instead of any other car I was looking at. For the money...I could not have picked a better more fun car. The only problem is keeping the revs down for the first 600 miles!! :)

The convertible is soo cool. I never thought I would want a convertible, but I love it. The hardtop should be great to have in the crazy Pacific NW weather.

It's fast, it corners on rails, it has the best steering feel...pretty much ever, it's small, it looks great...and I love it. if you are on the fence...get off the fence and get your butt to your local honda dealer and get yourself some S2000 goodness!! :)

Strength:

Engine, transmission, styling.

Weakness:

Plastic rear window.

The car runs seemlessly. It comfortably idles in traffic but when you get on it, it revs to it's substantial redline without a fuss. Love this car. Compare this car to the Boxster? There is no contest. More performance for $20K less. Plus, it's a HONDA. What a deal
