Only 16 inch tires ?? Possible reliability issues ?? Sucks the gas like I drink beer excpet she drinks premium.

Great car. Very fast but not fast enough. Considering some modifications to get it where i think it needs to be. Sound system is good for a stock system but again isnt what I am used to. Have driven it just past 140 and she still felt like she had plenty left in her. At that speed she smooth and stable. Crome rims are a plus and she looks good. Aftyer reading some of the other reviews my only concern is durability.

Strength:

Affordable price, great value for your dollar,Best Bang for the Buck. Powerful LT1 engine making plenty of power driving a live rear axle, a rigid structure, a new Long Arm/Short Arm Front suspension, Very fast, 28-30 MPG on highway in 6th gear, fun to drive. Terrific acceleration, braking and handling. Hatchback with fold down rear leather seats, powerful stereo with 10 speakers. Cast Iron Block LT1 engine with T56 Borg-Warner manual transmission. Huge windshield for visibility.

Weakness:

High insurance premiums, people in Mustangs, BMWs, old Musclecars, wrecks want to race you all the time. Tires wear out quickly. Police will pull you over especially if you have Bright Red or Competion Yellow paint on the vehicle.

This car is fully loaded with every option except T-tops and TCS. MRSP $21,965.00 purchased Brand New with all the GM Rebates for $14,569.71 before tax and lic. This is a 1994 Dark Aquamarine Metallic Formula V8 LT-1 at 13,000 miles with 6speed Hurst MN6 Borg-Warner T-56 transmission,GM FX 3 inch Performance exhaust4 wheel discABS,AMFM/CD 10 speakers,3.42 Limited Slip Diff,Powerdoors, windows, locks, antenae,Keyless entry,Pass Key II,leather seatsW/power lumbar and side bolsters, leatherwheel, handbrake and shifter knob, alarm, fold down back seats, FORMULA V8 Door Graphics, foglights, halogen headlights riding on Goodyear GSC 245/50-16 tires on FE2 Short Arm/Long, Arm Front suspension. This Firebird is fast, good-looking and still pulls down 28-30 MPG in 6th gear on the highway. In 6th gear loaf around at 45 MPH at 1000RPM, 80 MPH at 1850 RPM, 100 MPH at 2300 RPM. Rev the LT1 engine out in 5th gear and go 162+ MPH if you dare. This car is a hoot to drive. Extremely Comfortable and refined, this car is an attention getter where ever you go. It has great handling even in the rain with the GSC tires. In light snow you have to take it easy and slow and come off the clutch nice and smooth to get the Humongous GSC tires to bite in the snow. Safety wise you have 4 wheel ABS Disc brakes and dual front airbags. This car has a deep, throaty sound of dual exhausts that blast when you stomp on the throttle. Up front the accommodations are fairly spacious with all the key guages and controls easily accessible from the steering wheel. The huge windshield offers the driver a good look at the road ahead. The rear seats are pretty tight and small, great for little kids though. The big vented discs and standard ABS give exemlary braking with no fade. This is a very reliable car. Just change the oil, oilfilter, put new tires and rear disc pads, turn the key and go. Car curb wt at 3383 lbs, is a few hundrew pounds lighter than a 1994 Trans Am and 500 lbs light than my 1974 LS2 Trans Am . BEST BANG FOR THE BUCK. Car runs on Mobil 1, Comp Cams 1.6 Roller Rockers,Ram Air,K&N,Edelbrock Shock Tower Brace, Hurst Comp.Shifter, Performance Friction Brakes in rear.

Insurance premiums are insane After 2 1/2yrs and 35k miles it burns oil.

This car is a thrill to drive! I bought this car new, and have driven it for almost three years now. I have really enjoyed this car. Although the insurance premiums are rather painful And now after 35k miles she's burning oil about 1 quart every 4k miles I understand this is a regular problem with this car. But it hasn't effected the power and overall performance one bit For the money, you can't find a better sports car. If you love sports cars as much as I do, then you really need to drive a Ram Air Firebird/Camero. It will have you grinning from ear to ear.

Strength:

LS1 Engine: Aluminum block and heads, LS6 manifold, reinforced suspension (urethane bushings and revalved shocks), Many updates available. Fast and stylish design which is one of a kind (many cars today are looking the same). It does not follow the crowd. Very simply an awesome sports car that is affordable.

Weakness:

None.

I love Sports Cars and this was a 'dream come true'. It handles better than any sports I have driven (90 Mustang 5.0; Delorean; 86' Corvette; 70' Grand Prix w 454; Audi Allroad) and for the cost it cannot be beat. It is a solid ride and Do Not expect comfort. Get an $80k Audi RS6 if that is that important. I would recommend this car over any rice rocket. Rice rockets are fast on video games and some movies but that is Not reality. 0-60 in 5 seconds and 1/4 miles in low 13 sec bone stock. Need I say more?

The electronic, the motor crank, and almost all the composants

I have this car since 1998, and before my dad had it. After 60 000 miles, the motor crank just broke, it cost more than 2000$ canadian money to fix it. The front light, sometime, wont come up, the dash board light went off, the light check engine is always on, sometime the wipers don't stop... and more and more

Honestly the best car I've owned. extremely reliable. the acceleration never ends. the interior could of used some work but you get bang for the buck for sure! the mods you can do to these f-bodies is endless. No complaints whatsoever from me.

Built for speed not comfort.

Great car! Owned it for 12 years and had NO problems!! Got rid og it (kicking and screaming) because I just could not resist "free money" (zero % interest rate). Would have bought another Pontiac (Grand Pri GTPO) if there were customer loyalty incentives.

Model Reviewed: Pontiac WS6 Ram Air Trans Am

Strength:

- Raw power! Mash the pedal on a WS6 and you'll see what I mean! - Handling. This car handles like a dream around sharp corners, and just about everywhere else - Fuel economy (For a sports car) I was surprised how good the TA is on gas when I don't hot-rod it. 19/28 MPG (It's so hard to resist though) - A real head-turner. If you like to drive a car that gets noticed, this one is for you. - Great Front Seats. The seats have adjustable lumbar and lateral support, so you can adjust the seat to grip you which really gives the feel of a racing car.

Weakness:

Even though I'm biased towards this car, it does suffer from some shortcomings, most of the typical sports car nature: - Limited Storage Space. Take off the T-Tops, store them in the back, and you've used up 50% of your storage space. Put two people in the back-seat (and they better be short) and there goes your other 50%. - Rough Ride. You'll feel just about every bump you hit. - Engine Noise - Although this is one of the things I really like about the car, people that don't like a loud engine should stay away from this brute. - Cheap interior. Glove box and seatbelts rattle a lot. Car interior creaks and groans on rough roads. - Fuel economy. Drive her nicely or she'll suck your wallet dry. - Unwanted attention. There's always some dork in 5.0 Mustang or Japanese Tinker Toy car that wants to race you. It's funny at first, but gets real annoying real fast. Your Trans Am will be the first car on the road a cop looks at to give a ticket to as well.

I've always been a die-hard Pontiac fan. I've had several other Pontiacs, but never a Trans Am until now. I'm depressed that 2002 is the last year because after driving a Trans Am, all other cars in its price range just don't measure up!
