Strength:

Nice looking vehicle

Weakness:

Fan belt failure, transmission problems.

It wish I had done my research before I purchased this 2003 Trailblazer. I have had fan clutch problems. Problems with the rearend making noise. I will try to get rid of it before I have transmission problems. Current problem went to start vehicle and now the key is stuck in the ignition. I am just glad i did not pay full price.

fan clutch - should have been a recall item

Have had the truck for 5 years and have been somewhat satisfied with it. Had issues with the fan clutch after 2 years. Was quoted almost $900 at dealer to replace - not covered under extended warranty. Had a friend do it on the side. Brake lights were a recall issue and were replaced by dealer. Currently at 79,000 miles - no transmission issues (did have it serviced around 60K miles - guy said it looked great). Just had to have the upper ball joints replaced, but was told that is normal wear and tear.

Absolutely no stregnths at all.

Weakness:

Just dont buy this truck. I guarentee you will have problems with it.

This has been nothing but a nightmare from the moment of purchase. I should of known better when the first one they gave me had to be replaced after only a few weeks due to the fact that it was a total lemon. Transmission would not uplead the software when cold, terrible air leaks around all of the doors, too many recalls to mention, when i tracked the milage i never even got close to the milage advertised on the sticker, and now with only 57,000 miles the whole transmission needed to be replaced costing me $3,200 and received no satisfaction or refund from chevy at all. Buying this truck was the absolute worst decision I made in my entire life and I will never even think about buying from chevy again.

Heated seats work very well, nice options, never had any issues with any of the power seats, windows, sunroof

Weakness:

Way too many problems for the cost. Expensive to buy and cheaply made. Will never buy a Chevy again.

Don't buy. Since owning this vehicle, the air has went out twice, the 4 wheel drive does not engage and the wheels locked up, my tail lights needed replacing, the tailgate shock went out and now I keep my tailgate open with a kids hockey stick, there is something rattling underneath that drives me crazy, and I've had to replace some sensor.

Rides and drives great.

Weakness:

Poor quality of parts used on the vehicle and cost of repairs.

I have had more trouble with this vehicle than any other vehicle owned. I will never buy another GM product again. I had a water pump go out at around 30,000 miles. My transmission was trying to eat itself up inside at 68,000 miles. I called the dealer about the tranny issue and they could not get to it for a few days so I took the vehichle to a transmission specialty shop and had to have the transmission rebuilt. The transmission specialty shop did an excellent joh and informed me that the OEM parts used were not heavy enought for the vehicle so the AATA had developed its own rebuild kit so that warranty could be provided on their work. Today I am dealing with a tachometer and speedometer that do not work. My TB does 70mph sitting still. I am really disappointed in GM. I had hoped this would be a vehicle I could get many years of service from. Oh, by the way, any of you that have a transmission issue be sure to call GM customer support. They might be able to give you some kind of break. When I talked to them they would not honor the fact that a specialty shop had done the work, even though their dealer had told me it would be a few days before service could look at the vehicle. This vehicle is the only means of transportation that I have.

Big.

Weakness:

A/C Brake lights TRANSMISSION....search for trailblazer transmission problem and you will see pages and pages of the exact same problem.

Will NEVER buy GM product ever again!!! Between the problems I have had with my 2001 camaro and this 2002 trailblazer I doubt I will even buy an american made car unless they start selling/pricing them as disposable cars like they are. I have had the transmission problem that everyone who owns this car has had and the a/c and rear brake light problem that chevy continues to do nothing about. I will never buy a GM product again.

worst vehicle I have owned - it almost wiped out my family - 4x4 went crazy and the wheels locked up - we were going 55 mph. GM needs to pay for this defect - I am scared to drive it and don't want anyone else to drive it.

Strength:

Drives nice and looks great. Great gas milage for an SUV.

Weakness:

AC is been trouble from day 1. It works one min. and not the next. It has lots of rattles. Rocks can easily get in the transmission.

Loved this SUV at first. The AC has more problems than I can mention. I have had rocks in my transmission. It has been one thing after another. I does drive nice and ther is plenty of room for the front seat driver and passanger. The back seat is really small and has little leg room for adults. I have had mine for 4 years and have only 34000 miles on it and its been in the shop more than 2 dozen times for all kinds of little things.
