Strength:

Great towing vehicle and road noise is virtually non-existent at highway speeds. Great engine and transmission combination.

Weakness:

Rear window wiper could be more 'heavy duty' but it does the job.

I bought the Trailblazer to tow. We have a 25 foot trailer and the Trailblazer tows as advertised. This is the quietest vehicle (car or truck) that I have ever owned. Engine has lots of power but is very smooth. I think it is one of the best looking SUVs on the market. Sound system is excellent. The Trailblazer handles very well and I have not experienced any problems with the 4 wheel drive system. I get 26MPG on the highway and 18-20MPG in the city. It is put together well, and I have yet to have a squeak or rattle show up.

Strength:

Great power, quiet, comfortable, good on fuel.

Weakness:

Engine is a little loud and make s clunking sound when first started in the morning... Although, it quiets down and the clunking goes away after engine warms up.

This is a follow up to my previous review. The dealer replaced the 4wd switch and the dashboard and I haven't had a single problem in the past 4000 miles. The dealer told me there's a service bulletin for the dash and the switch. I guess a few other people have had the problem. Also, I noticed an increase in gas mileage. I get around 18 city, and I'v gotten a hair under 21 mpg on the highway...and that was towing 1000 lbs, going 75, AC on, and with 4 passengers with cargo. Seems when the engine wears in a little, gas mileage increases.

Strength:

Looks, engine power, interior room

Weakness:

gas milage, cheap interior (LS model), loud engine noise on warm-up, electrical problems

I have the LS model with all the 1S package. The trailblazer looks great, has plenty of power from the engine, and is by far the roomiest SUV in its class. However, that being said, I have had numerous electrical problems with the car. It would not start (3) times, with the battery comming up low voltage. I don't have much confidence in my vehicle from that standpoint. I am trying to get rid of it for this reason.

Strength:

Engine/Transmission, Seats, Parking Ease, Overall solidity (Hydroformed chassis) Fun to drive, Rides like a dream-even over DC potholes.

Weakness:

Interior could be a bit larger in back cargo area for me, The running boards are too wide for me (my 70ish mother loves 'em), Interior trim isn't as tight as Jap models-the door handle/window controls in particular, but overall, way to go GM.

Very Happy. After Test driving the Explorer (Rough Engine, Boring to Drive, but Bigger inside), 4-runner (Cramped-due for replacement next year-expensive) and Envoy (My initial choice, but plastic-wood/chrome overload got on my wife's nerves), I bought the Trailblazer. It's a great truck-very solid, very capable engine-actually FUN to drive-270 horses!VVRROOOMM!! No problems at all so far. I am very impressed with the driveability & turning radius - a great city car. I had the opportunity to drive the identical car through Napa & Sanoma last week and it ATE the mountains! Nice big brakes too. I can't wait for Ski season. I haven't had one single problem with this truck so far, although I've read about some less fortunate souls online...all I know is that I've owned a Jeep Cherokee (Horrible!), an Isuzu Trooper (NEVER get an Isuzu)a BMW 3 series (great car-expensive to repair and maintain)and a '94 Chevy C-1500(oil changes & tires=100K trouble-free miles & counting)and I would recommend this vehicle highly. It's a very luxurious ride and a great value-especially w/ 0% financing. I suggest the Power leather seats-not only are they comfortable (lumbar support...aaahhh!!!) they are very rugged (I have 3 dogs who love to backseat drive) AND the S.O.B. tows over two & a half tons with a silky-smooth straight six & a tranny straight out of the Corvette. I got it for $300 less than invoice at $34K out the door-it's a loaded LTZ.

Strength:

Great styling, awesome engine, transmision, and suspension.

Weakness:

Many electrical problems... Questionable 4x4 system.

Great looking SUV. Awesome styling and feels rock solid. The engine is great. Very powerful and smooth. It's hard to believe you're driving an SUV. I have have a quite a few problems already. The brake rotors were warped when I picked up the truck. The brakes pulsated like crazy. Also, while traveling in 2 Hi, the truck would shift into A4wd by itself and then shift back. It does this very often. I'm having it checked out for the second time next week. Also, the dashboard died on me a few times, all the guages were dies. And, 2 weeks after I picked up the truck, the ABS light went on, turns out the ABS brake sensor was bad. So far I've had terrible luck with this truck... I REALLY hope everything gets fixed and it'll give me years of trouble free service.

Needs more detailing, not to be as plain. Needs a Navigation System

The Greatest American SUV. Needs more German influence, such as an available Nav System, but it is still an amazing SUV. Well worth the Money
