Strength:

Decent sound system.

Weakness:

Gas mileage, the service department at Landmark, handling, overall preformance it is very sluggish. In general everything should be stripped. Possibly a V6 would get better mileage. I think this boat is much to heavy for the four cylinder. My daughter has a 2005 Camaro with a V6 and she gets 26 miles to the gfallon combined city and highway driving. Something is terribly wrong here, I guess that is why they discontinued it.

I have never gotten over 18 miles to the gallon. That is combined city and highway. If I just drive around town I am lucky to get 17 miles per gallon. Much lower than the mileage indicated on the sticker. I also bought an 1800.00 extended warranty that has proved to be useless. Both times I have taken my car to landmark Dodge in Independence, Mo. I have ended up being quoted estimates on repairs that are not needed. I fixed the brakes myself after they wanted 300.00 for 49.00 and then they said I had a problem with another front end part. They wanted 400.00 for this one. I took it to Goodyear and had the problem, which wasn't even what they said, fixed and had 4 new tires mounted and ballanced for 200.00. Never buy a car at Landmark Dodge and stay away from the PT cruiser. I intend to sell mine as soon as they come out with an electric car.

Strength:

Can be used as a small Pickup truck for hauling. Put down back seats and you can really pack it full.

Weakness:

Horrible, Horrible gas mileage. Always serviced as required. Brakes wore out at 10,000 miles. Drives like a truck. No comfort at all. No one in family likes it. Buttons for power windows, door locks, etc. Very bad location. Just after warranty ran out. approx 15,000 miles the switches in back fell out. Dealer charged us for putting back in. Also dealer drives you nuts telling you your due for service, even after you just got service.

Bought P/T cruiser in Dec 2003. Its a 2004. Spouse liked the style, I wasn't impress with the test drive or Luxury of it. But spouse wanted it. We only have 18,000 miles on it.

Weakness:

not that roomy, horrible in the snow and ice

Fun to drive in summer, if you live in a state that gets snow, DONT GET IT!!!! it is horrible in the winter. I cant get up my barely hilled driveway and i slide all over the road going 20 mph while everyone else is passing me going 50.

Strength:

The car is roomy, with great cargo space.

Weakness:

Gas mileage - terrible! 23 mpg at best.

Disappointing gas mileage for a small car - 23 mpg at best. We do a mix of city & highway driving. We have around 21,000 miles on the car and brakes are showing early wear & tear. Rotors, pads. Not good.

Strength:

It rides smooth. It is quiet inside when you are driving. Easy to get in small parking spots. Decent pickup when you accelorate. Decent stereo system. You can carry a LOT of things in this vehicle.

Weakness:

Floor heat doesn't blow very strong. Only gets 22 miles to the gallon.

I really love this car. It's comfortable, easy to get in and out of, good stereo system. I like the big windshield because it gives me good visibility. I had no trouble fitting a car seat for a 2 year old in the back seat. Plenty of leg room in the front seats. I think this was a very good investment.

Love the handling, and it can take wind storms real well.

Weakness:

Ignition replacement

I bought this Pt Cruiser in Kansas City about 3 years ago. There have been some problems but in emergency severe weather situations this car has been awesome. I had to replace the ignition but other than that it has been cool.

alot of cargo space

Weakness:

cheap parts from factory!

I'm really disappointed in the PT Cruiser. I've had it 4 years and purchased it when it had only 18,000 km. I'm very easy on my car, It's lady driven... At 50,000 km I needed new brakes and rotors! Now at 75,000 I need new struts, bushings all around... I'm amazed and so are people I talk too. I'm not thrilled about the maintence with so little km's on it.....

Strength:

Good visibility and headroom (I'm 6" 2'). The styling is still cool. Not as boring as the Altima that I replaced. Excellent value.

Weakness:

Pretty poor gas mileage (about 20-22 mpg). A bit underpowered. Could use a 5 or 6 speed auto trans.

A very good car for the price I paid. I have the base model with auto-trans, A/C, keyless entry, CD stereo (with Sirius satellite radio). Not powerful, but smoooth riding and pretty quiet. I needed a second car because I have 2 sons and my Miata only carries 2 people. From what I have read, the long term quality of the PT Cruiser is pretty good, so I expect to hold onto it for a number of years.

Strength:

Reliable
Decent Milage
Lots of passanger room
Good Crago Room

Weakness:

Blind spots where the hatch meets the little windows behind the rear doors.

I bought this car when I first moved to Florida and I have been driving it ever since. It had 30K on it when I got it and its got 58K on it now. Other than basic maintenence I have not had to put any money into the car at all. They are a good handling car with decent gas mileage. I get 20mpg in town and 25mpg on the highway, but what do expect from a 2.4L motor. If I was really concerned with milage I would have bough a Honda. I find that I get some pinging unless I run Supreme so that's what I do. My car is a 5 speed manual shift with a feather lite clutch. It rubs the road over large speed bumps and entering driveways. It is an excellent family car with lots of leg room in the back even for adults. I don't have a giant car seat for my 21 month old daughter and I find it fits just fine. With the big doors and upright seats getting the kids in and out is a breeze. I bought it for reliability and ease of use, it's been great that way. Lot's of interior/cargo space, especially with the rear seats removed (which is suprisingly easy to do, but the 60 side of the 60/40 split is a bit heavy for my wife.) I drive my cars till they are all used up, and I expect this one to go for a long time. I have the regular 2.4 liter motor and get good acceleration. The turbo must be really quick.

Strength:

-Fun, eye-catching car I can take pride in.
-Lots of bells and whistles for not a lot of money.
-Lots of storage space in the back, especially once seats are folded down. -Quick pickup with turbo.
-Decent gas mileage.
-Fun to drive.
-So far, extremely reliable.

Weakness:

-My main complaint is that this car does not fit an infant carrier (Graco brand) in the back seat without first moving the front seat all the way up (leaving no room for an additional adult passenger to fit comfortably unless you're less than 5' tall).
-Small, cramped interior.
-Low windshield makes me duck to see stoplights at many intersections (Im only 5'7").
-Scrapes the ground when going over tiny bumps or up driveways.

Sweet ride when you don't have a family, but if you do (i.e., a baby).... Forget it. Unless you and your significant other are only 5' tall, you will no longer fit into this vehicle with a newborn. There simply is not enough space. We just bought this car in July and are having to try and sell it for something else before our baby comes in March. Too bad!
