All I can say is that, I love my Ascender. Nothing that I looked at can compare. All of the amenities can be put up against the Lincoln Navigator. Yes, that's right, I said the Navigtor. The warranty, smooth ride and roomy interior can't be beat. Drive one and I'll bet you'll keep it. Go Ascender......Beat'em all!!!!!! V8 Too!

Everything!!! PS: a 5 passenger version is being added and prices are being lowered by $750 for the 7 passenger version for 2004. ABuick version of the 5 passenger version is debuting as the BUICK RAINIER, and get this: it is stickering at $35,000 to $45,000!!! The Ascender is almost half that and is built with the same parts at the same factory!! Whoa!!

Weakness:

Nobody is buying them because there is almost no ads, get going Isuzu advertising and get thes great vehicles on the road!!

Yes, all of the above. Its is a great SUV that beats its competitors in every aspect. The warranty is almost 3x longer, has a more powerful isuzu engine, and is roomy and rides great and the list goes on and on. Are you guys experiencing lots of pointing and staring on the raod. Its great styling is eye-catching because everyone looks at it. At this site "THE CAR CONNECTION", there is a mass controversy going on about isuzu and their reliability and some people say they are fading away. I have done my best to defend Isuzu but i need you guys help. Go to the forum and eiter go to "you review- Isuzu Ascender...." or "industry news- isuzu obituary" or "industry news- carmatts isuzu vs. nissan". By the way im carmatt777 at that site. GO ISUZU!

Strength:

V8 300hp engine 7200 lb towing very roomy interior On Star free for 1yr.

Weakness:

only 4 sp transmission ( should be 5) wind noise high at high speeds.

I did alot of research between the GMC, Chevy, Toyota Dodge and without a doubt, The Ascender is the best vehicle for me. I paid thousands less than GMC and better features,ie. leather, Bose stereo. 7200lb towing capacity. It also rides better than the GMC. I would recommend this highly.

Strength:

V8 power at a V6 price!! Ride and comfort of a luxury SUV!! The warranty is unsurpassed, without paying extra at finance. Fold flat rear seats.

Weakness:

We have not gotten the reported fuel mileage yet.

we bought this truck because the price was so much better than that or an Envoy or Trailblazer similarly equipped. We found it to be such a wonderful vehicle, full of power and comfort. The 5.3 V8 is so brisk and remakably quiet. You really can not tell you are riding in a truck either. Anybody looking at the Envoy or Trailblazer needs to give this vehicle a look. It was an incredible buy!!

Strength:

5.3 Liter V8! Warrantee is 2.5 times longer than GMC/Chevy/Oldsmobile Customer service is great Price is such a bargain

Weakness:

not many colors to choose from (5 different ones in either 2 tone or solid)

I've been waiting for the site to put up a section for this new "isuzu". I want to encourage ALL envoy/trail blazer buyers to go for Isuzu. With the Ascender, you get a longer warrantee, better service quality, and all the goodies that the top of the line Envoy has, at the starting price of a trail blazer! Isuzu has taken a great GM product and made it even better and easier to live with. I have a black, 2003 Ascender V8 4x4. I've had the vehicle for 3 1/2 weeks and LOVE IT! It is built so so tight, feels strong, and the V8 not only sounds great, but moves the Ascender with love. I've been averaging 17.2 mpg since I bought it. Not bad at all for a full size SUV with a V8 and 4 wheel drive. Isuzu isn't very well-known which keeps them very nice with their customers, and easy to bargain with.
