Model Reviewed: /Axiom

Strength:

styling, fit and finish, very capable in any conditions, good power/torque, price/options.

Weakness:

sunglass holder broke -- was fixed immediately. gas milage estimator fluxuates a lot.

My wife and I test drove several other vehicles for about six months(mazda tribute, dodge duragno, ford explorer, mitsu montaro, etc.) before driving home with the Axiom. It had all of the options we wanted at a very reasonable price. Loved the style from day one (either you love it or hate it), and it had all of the options. It''s a XS model -- power sunroof, 6 disk player in center console, adjustable suspension settings with the touch of a button, the center display with all the vehicle info including outside temp and compass, auto dimming rearview mirror, and on and on and on and on. We''ve had it for about 9 months now (17k miles), and it''s been great so far. I''d definitley recommend it to anyone.

Model Reviewed: XS 4wd

Strength:

Power capacity, ability to tow 4500lb, different driving settings from sport ride, to winter, to torque on demand options.

Weakness:

CD changer takes up room on arm rest council.

I tell you what I was skepticle of even considering Isuzu until the sales guy had me test drive the Axiom. It drives better than the Toyota, Highlander, and has 230hp not bad at all. Many option come std. I really feel Isuzu is making a good run for your money.

Model Reviewed: Axiom XS 2WD

Strength:

V6 engine, bold styling, user adjustable suspension (sport/comfort), Isuzu quality

Weakness:

No GPS option, limited storage area in front due to 6 disc CD changer.

I recently purchased the Axiom and I must say that I am quite impressed. The bold styling is what caught my eye, but I am equally impressed with the ride as well as the loads of power generated by the 3.5 litre V6. The interior is great from the heated leather seats to the self-dimming rear view mirror. The multi-information display is nice, but I really wish that it had a GPS option.
