Strength:
Great ride much better than the previuos generation. Great AC even with the soft top. Very capable off road, lots of fun.
Weakness:
Wish that it had a 4 speed auto. # speeb revs high at highway speeds. I love my TJ, I just wish that more people that owwned them would take them off raod, then they would understand. Similar Products Used: There in nothing similar to the Jeep, all other are cheap imatations |

Strength:
Funnest vehicle ever owned. Best off-road by far. Most possibilities for upgrading to owners specifications.
Weakness:
Too many other people own them. I have never known a vehicle that was more rewarding to drive, own and modify. I can't wait untill we get our second one. Similar Products Used: None |

A real off roader
Weakness:
Dana 44 axle is an option. I wish my '99 Altima was half as reliable as the Jeep. My next new vehicle will without any doubt be another Jeep. You can't have too many. The Jeep Wrangler is the real off roader and all other vehicles in it's class are just sad little wannabe's. Here's a clue, if you drive a RAV4 or similiar, everyone doesn't think you're adventurous they think you drive a soccermom's grocerygetter. If a soccermom's grocerygetter is just what you want, you would be well advised to stay away from a Jeep. The new Jeep rides like a car, it is the only fully convertable in it's class, and it can take you places no other 4x4 can straight off the showroom floor. Similar Products Used: RAV4, Grand Vitara, Ford explorer, and Chevy S10 Blazer all have greater passenger and carrying capacity, big surprise, they're bigger! The Jeep is the really off roader these trucks are just primed wannabe's. |

Tough in a nut shell! 4 wheel drive, great aftermarket for upgrade, and the average man or woman can take it apart and rebuild it!
Weakness:
The windshield seems to attract rocks. The gas mileage is not the best in the world. The ride is a little bumpy at times. I love my jeep. I bought it in 1999 after my Civic was broken into. The jeep has took me thru two semi-harsh winters with no trouble whatsoever. I have used to to pull people out of ravines, as well as towing other vehicles that are not road worthy or just won't run. Fun! In all my 27 years I have never had so much fun with a vehicle. The ability to drive around with the top and doors completely off the jeep is fantastic. The jeep is not for all. The ride is a little bumpy in the YJ's and a little better in the stock TJ's! I don't have kids so I can't really comment on how practical it is in that realm, I do know my two dogs love to ride with the top off. Best 4x4 out of the box. Tons of aftermarket parts. Short wheelbase makes it an awesome 4 wheeler. Strong 4.0 inline 6. Optional Dana 44. Hard and soft top. Biggest - Straight front axel, what other suv has that?
Weakness:
None Its a Jeep thing....you wouldn't understand. If you wan't an suv you will only drive onroad then pick something else - if you plan to offroad, want the flexability of going topless, want the best out of the box 4x4 on the market - get a jeep. One of the most overlooked thing about the jeep is the community of Jeep owners - nothing like it with any other brand. Similar Products Used: I checked out the Kia sportage, Isuzu, many of the smaller suv's and they just don't compare |

Every time I drive this vehicle I say to myself "I love driving this" It's just plain fun. The only problems I've had was terrible service from the Dealer! I hope to never get rid of it.
Weakness:
Poor gas milage. Come on Jeep you can do better than this can't you? Should be cheaper also. This vehicle just makes sense (other than the gas milage). It's pure fun to drive and extremely versatile. This is no four person car by any means, in fact, think of it as a 2 seater and take out that rear seat. Now you have a 2 seated fun vehicle with a pretty large trunk! Hard top for the winter and soft top for the summer.. or hey, no top at all! There are thousands of aftermarket products for this vehicle, and it is also extremely cheap to work on. Similar Products Used: Really doesn't compete with anything else out there. It is in class of it's own. |

Strength:
Safe, well built, well priced ,reliable, If anyting breaks(it is probably my fault), convertable, great resale value there is a great commuity and sense of pride that comes along with owning this vehicle.
Weakness:
It doesn't ride like a caddy or a benz... (I wouldn't have bought it if it did). It maybe a little small for a family. I may own other vehicles in the future, but my wife and I have agreed that we will never sell or trade in this vehicle for as long as we can keep it going. I have never been so happy with a vehicle. It's a jeep thing... You wouldn't understand.
Weakness:
Needs a real yoke on the back of the transfer case. My Jeep TJ has served me dutifully for nearly five years without a single breakdown. The only time it has gone into the dealership for service was for a factory recall over the fuel level sending unit. It's been drivin very hard, has not recieved very good care, and even my maintenence on it is sometimes sketchy. Similar Products Used: Ford Bronco II. No comparison... The TJ kicks the snot out of my old BII |

None This fun go anywhere vehicle is the best vehicle I've ever owned. Not only does it get you where you want to go, but it gets you there in style and comfort. Put the top down, take the doors off and go. It just doesn't get any better. Yes the top is a little noisy, the ride is a little rough, and it gets 16 MPG, but it hasn't lost it's offroad heritage like many trucks and SUV's have. Similar Products Used: None |
