Strength:

Lots of room for passengers, quit and smooth ride. Pickup box is large enough and tremendosly handy.

This is the best and most unique vehicle I have ever owned.
I have not had anything go wrong yet and the way it is running I don't expect any problems. Also after being on mysporttrac.com and listening to the other owners I don't expect any problems.

Strength:

Panache, versatility, ruggedness.

Weakness:

Some squeaks, but hey, it's not a Lexus so I can't complain right?

Excellent SUV, better V6 than the Land Rover Discovery V8.
Test drive and you will buy, especially if you take it home for the night before you purchase as I did. You won't be dissapointed I assure you!

Strength:

Everything, style and looks especially.

Weakness:

American made, legroom. Of course if I wanted lots of legroom I should have bought a Ford F-350 Econoline Van huh?

If you complain about the power you should have bought the 335HP GMC C3 or a BMW X5 with the V8 don't ya' think? The Sport Trac is an SUT with a V6, not a Ferrari.

If you complain about the interior not being plush enough, again you should have bought the BMW X5 or maybe the Escalade. The Sport Trac is an SUT not a Rolls Royce.

Don't knock the Sport Trac, especially if you don't even own one in the first place. Go buy a 4Door Frontier, Tacoma, or Dakota and enjoy!

Model Reviewed: Ford Explorer Sport Trac

Strength:

Versatility; comfort; ride & handling; ventilation (esp. w/opening rear window); engine power at highway speeds; nice 6-disc CD changer; sturdy & convenient optional hard tonneau cover; cargo capacity.

Weakness:

Engine lacks low-end "grunt"; manual transmission only available in base, "stripper" configuration; wind noise around front doors; some minor quality-control problems.

An extremely versatile vehicle. Handles 4-5 passengers as well as heavy loads in the pickup bed. 5-speed automatic performs well, for an automatic. Rides better than a lot of cars, handles better than any pickup.

This is a great vehicle for families who need both a car and a pickup, but don't have the budget or room for one of each. The Sport Trac does both jobs well. Not the best vehicle for handling 4x4 sheets of plywood, unless you get a separate rack for that purpose. Visit www.MySportTrac.com to see what other Sport Trac owners think.

Strength:

Roomy Interior, and Stylish Exterior.

Weakness:

Wind Noise...

This is one of the best vehicles on the road today. It can be used for so many different things. I can't say enough about this SUT ( Sport Utility Truck ).

Similar Products Used:

Nissan X-Terra, Toyota Quad-Cab, and Dodge Dakota Quad-cab, all lacked the room and confort in the rear seats. Not as stylish Exteriors.

Strength:

It was a new model

Weakness:

squeaks. Rattles. not plush enough. People made fun of the tiny bed.

I owned one of the first Sport Tracs back in July of 2000. I traded it in for a Chevy Sierra after only 3 months of ownership. It is the last Ford product I will buy.

Strength:

It's Looks and size...

Weakness:

wind noise at the windows....

The Ford Sport Trac gives you not only room in the cab for both front and rear passengers. It also can haul big loads in the small bed. This is a prefect vehicle for anyone not willing to give up the room but want to be able to haul things.

Strength:

Great all around hybrid vehicle, decent mpg and quality.

Weakness:

Power, Stereo could be better. The soft cover installs kind of hokey.

I bought the hybrid because I wanted the comfort of an SUV with the rugged bed of a truck. I like the fact that I average 18+mpg. I would have liked a V8 option, the V6 seems to handle most situations pretty well. Don't expect much power with the AC running though.
