Strength:

Has wildcat ATS on the back and plenty of power for all that traction

Weakness:

no 4 wheel drive and alot of miles on the engine

It has plenty of power for a 2.2 engine. The only thing wrong with it is that it is not 4 wheel drive.

just a great car to drive and will go where ever i take it it never let me down yet. The person who fitted the lpg brought the same car as he told me all he ever did to them was services them. Not fix them.

Weakness:

they don''t like the engines being cleaned so be vert carefull when washing around the dissy

Had the car for 3 years now. got it with 137ks on the clock and now it has 250ks.The car has been very reliable for me with little things to be done Ie new radaitor clutch fan. Had the car put on lpg at 185ks and had no problems with this at all. I use the car to pull a duel axle trailer quite offten and dose this very well I get about 400ks to 66lt of lpg and about 350ks to 45 lts of petrol. The car in stating to develop a nose out of the gearbox when idling put your foot on the clutch and it goes away any help there would be great.

Angry

Bought a Tribute from Anaheim Mazda and I got ripped off. They included a bunch of hidden charges on my contract and when I complained to them they said ''tough luck !!''. I then complained to Mazda and they said they could not do anything about it. I should have bought the Ford Escape. I will never bought another car from Mazda and specially Ahaheim Mazda & Hundai

mate this thins is as tough as nails it will go almost anywhere pleanty of power the 2600efi engine goes hard the ride is great for an offroader more like a car than a truck. The power steering make it a breese to park around town & the air con is freezing this thing is as good as it gets for the price.

Weakness:

the only dramas Ive had in the ownership time have been the engine management system needed replacing only $400.00 & I thing the oil changes are to often

I have had this truck for 3years its a single cab tray back 4x4 2600 5speed I have travelled 150.000klms in this time.

Strength:

Good Looks, Loaded without the loaded price, Gas mileage, Borg-Warner transfer case, and Stock 3 spoke 16 inch wheels that actually look good. The power is all there when you need it and 4-LOW can pull like no ones business!

Weakness:

Lack of afermarket support on lift kits and hoods. :-(

Well I have owned Rangers, Fullsized Chevys, an F-150 and another Mazda previous to this and all I can say is that I will be buying another one when I wear this one out! I liked the Ranger Packages but for the money, this truck beat them all to hell. As for other trucks I have driven,This mazda and the last are the best trucks I have ever driven. It handles well in rough and slushy terrain, It rides smooth and the gas milaege is pretty descent too. The styling on the body looks like the Ranger in the concept drawings back in 1992, and then the Ranger comes out all straight looking and kinda plain jane over all. By no means am I knocking the Ford Ranger but you just got to own both to understand where I am coming from. The most bang for the buck no B.S. Good Looking truck is going to be the Mazda in my opinion. Nissans cost too much and ride funny, Toyotas are good trucks in all aspects but the price makes me kringe every time I think of them. ZOOM! ZOOM!

Strength:

well built, reliable, good ( OK not great) on gas

Weakness:

needs more power but its only the 2.3L engine..if I get another I might consider the V6.

Hi, I just wanted to say that this truck has been very reliable for the past 5 years. Bought it new and never had to take it back for anything, except recently had a problem with the EE system canister and purge valve. Cost me a couple hundred dollars but the service at Talarico Mazda was outstanding, they even came to pick up the truck for the diagnosis. Outstanding! I hear a lot of bad things about ford- based products, but my personal experience so far has been very positive. One more thing, this truck has hardly any squeaks or rattles after 5 yrs, something that I think is phenomenal for an American made product.

Strength:

Uniqueness and styling, only 680 B-4000 4WD TLD versions were made between ''99-''00. Strong 4.0L V6, 4 doors. Better warranty than Ford.

Weakness:

MPG!! Although mechanically the same as a Ranger, lack of aftermarket support for Mazda is dismal! Chrome bumper and ring around windows, I preferre the monochromatic look of the ''01''s, and the stronger V6! Engine makes a marbling noise after break in, but I''m told that is normal?

Great looking truck, better overall value than Ranger, S-10 and Tacoma. Absolutly no problems since buying new. Although the rear is cramped, having the 4th door (not available on S-10/Tacoma) helps. It has seen mild off-road usage and performed very well. 5 speed auto is nice.

Strength:

Fuel efficiency Powerful V6 Style Mazda name

Weakness:

Even though it''s a 4 door, the room in the back is cramp. (Iguess I got spoiled from the Ram) Not much storage space. (Can''t wait to get my truck box)

I traded in my 1999 Dodge Ram Quad Cab for a 2002 B-4000 series truck. It''s a 4WD 4 door truck that has a 4.0L V6 with 207HP (manual) that I plan on using for a hunting truck. I already tested the 4WD and I''m impressed!

Tested the Ford Ranger, Toyota Tacoma, Dodge Dakota. Out of all of these the Mazda was a far better deal. The warranty was better than all mentioned.
