4 door V8 TRD
Strength:
The acceleration is the best. The dual exhaust is making the acceleration even better. Mine has about 256 horsepower after a couple of modifications.
Weakness:
Nothing big, clock is in wrong spot. Could have better ground clearence. I blew away all of the other trucks in its class from the stop light. Even the 300hp. Sierra(Z71). Take it off over-drive and you'll get the best acceleration from zero. In a couple of years ill add the TRD supercharger. Which adds 40% more hp/tq. That way ill never loose to no truck in my class. So far i've beaten everybody who wanted to race in its class and some not in it's class. Similar Products Used: None |

Strength:
Very quiet, very smooth drive and overall quicker than any other truck in its class
Weakness:
Not many except like Steve Sato said It's got terrible mileage; not nearly as good as the claimed 13-17 mpg on the sticker. When driving under normal condition I always get 13 mpg no matter highway or street. My 4x4 Tundra got problems with transmission; If you come to a stop sometimes I hear a "clunk" sound as if someone rear-end me from behind (seems like the auto transmission doesn't know when to shift and at what speed). I ask Puente Hills Toyota in Los Angeles about this matter but they deny everything and told me that basically the car is new and needs time to break-in. I think that's B.S. Yes for $26500 Similar Products Used: Nissan 4x4 1989 I stll have it. and this car keep on driving, U know why? |

Tundra

Weakness:
None This is to Roger from Denver, no I don't want a monster truck but I would like the Tundra to have the same front end clearance that the T-100 has, (the model with the large tire package), if you ever get a chance to park next to a T-100 and see which one has a higher front end! We Never hit the skid plate on any large rocks, or cross ditches out in the bush with the T-100, but we almost always hit with the Tundra. It might have the highest ground clearance than other pick-ups on the market, but that's only in the rearend. As far as the price, we were ripped off $1500.00 in the paperwork, and then the salesman tried to take an extra $500.00 from us, I have no faith in the salesman at all, and as far as the service department, they are just as bad in some of the lots. Our packages are different from the ones in the U.S as is our colour choice, one of the many downfalls of living in Canada. Our package is called the V8 package, it's the four door, with air conditioning, cloth seats and so on. The other complaint that I have now is the tire size, up here we are having a really hard time trying to find really good winter tires to fit the odd size P265/70R16, where we live we are close to the snow belt and it's not unusual to get snowfalls of two to three feet overnight, so we need good tires, not to mention where we go up in the mountains hunting and exploring. I don't care what anyone says about the ride, it's not as smooth as the T-100 was, that might change once we get some decent tires on it but until then, we feel every rock and every pothole, and the suspension has no stiffness to it at all, and they don't have any after market shocks yet which makes it difficult to change the ride comfort. Try a T-100 and see for yourself which is the better truck! Similar Products Used: None |

, Toyota Tundra
Strength:
Toytota quality, good towing capability,
Weakness:
Poor outside appearance, looks kind of cheap. Too much road noise and feels every rock in the road. Poor off road capability. Ground clearance in the front could be better. I do a lot of hunting and camping. The off road ability of this truck is not very good. The first trip this year, I tore a hole in my front engine pan on something, and stuck the truck twice and never got off the trail. Similar Products Used: 1996 - Jeep |

Tundra Ltd V8 4WD
Strength:
This is a very high quality truck, much better than the big 3 truck makers.
Weakness:
The back seat bench is not that comfortable. My kids don't mind it much but for an adult, it is too small. If that problem is corrected in a couple of years, I may trade for the newer model. I bought a Tundra Ltd V8 4WD access cab with the following options: Chrome step bars, premium AM/FM/CD/Tape,Anit-lock brakes,Securekey Plus, Similar Products Used: Never owned at truck before and would not own one if the Tundra's had not come out. |

Toyota Tundra
Strength:
Smooth, Powerful, Quiet, sure-footed. The Tundra feels like a tall sedan. Roomy and comfortable, this truly is the "Lexus of pick-up trucks" The 4.7 liter V-8 has huge low-end grunt...So much that it burns up the 265/70 rear wheels often...by accident...really !! The truck is powerful yet composed in its appearance. Only the Dodge looks better to me.
Weakness:
The Off-Road version (TRD) has alot of body roll in turns (I'm used to sports cars so take with a grain of salt). The back seat is a little small, and much smaller than the GMC. Like everyone else: the oil filer location sucks. See "similar products" for price paid. Similar Products Used: It was a very close choice between the Tundra and GMC Sierra. Picked the Tundra for control, quiet ride and acceleration. Both trucks have excellent quality and capabilities. Toyota matched GMC's price !! Got my 4WD, SR5, TRD, Access Cab, V-8 for $25,600 !! |

Strength:
Power, handling, Comfort in the front seat, and 5-cd stereo system (in limited model) Basically it's a good looking truck with TRD package in it.
Weakness:
More than I thought for a Toyota truck. It's got terrible mileage; not nearly as good as the claimed 13-17 mpg on the sticker. I paid $33,000 out the door. I think it's a good truck but there are lots of rooms for improvement. Similar Products Used: Chevy S10 pickup - no comparison because it's an 1989 model. |

John
Strength:
everything but...
Weakness:
...Oil filter location This is for the Guy that compared pulling a trailer with his Toyota 4.7 and Dodge 5.9. Um... The Dodge 5.9 is good for 245 horsepower, a little less than the 4.7 Toyota (Whatever happened to “there’s no replacement for displacement”). When it comes to fuel economy driving the Dodge is like throwing a brick into the wind with 12-MPG city and 16-MPG highway. I don’t know what you are doing to overheat your truck but my advice is to trade your Toyota in now so that someone deserving can own it. Similar Products Used: I have been a true Ford fan for years. I'm not turning back. |
