Strength:

Clean, non-fading power. Intigrated cooling fan and temperature chip keep the amp cool for HOURS! Competition ready w/ direct battery input.

Weakness:

hummmmm

Hey ''Big Bumpin'' no $hit the amp isn''t going to be pushing 1500w in your econo-box contour. That is the rated output for a 14 volt system, your contour has a 12v electrical system. And to clear things up about the 900w RMS issue, if you read the manual it clearly states: 150w (4ohm) RMS per channel (12v) and 600w (4ohm) RMS bridged (12v)...225w (4ohm) RMS per channel (14v) and 900w (4ohm) RMS bridged (14v). I currently have this amp in my ''00 Tahoe pushing two Infinity Perfect 12" subs, the gain is at below normal and it makes $hit in my friends cars rattle when they are driving in front of me! This is a truly awesome amp and isn''t mass produced like a MTX or Fosgate amp. The coolest part about it is each amp is hand tested and the actual power outputs and signal to noise ratio levels are hand written on a verification certificate (you won''t see one of those in a Fosgate box).

Strength:

sounds good enough power to drive a few subs. low distortion at high levels.

Weakness:

nothing i can think of.

I think this amp is pretty good. Drives my subs fine with punch. i dont really care about having heaps of power as long as i have sufficient power to drive my subs and it does that good and sounds good. my frens all have this amp and i reckon its better then alot of amps out there. it makes my car shake like crazy

none none

Strength:

Built in EQ features. Tons of Power.

Weakness:

Big Heavy.

This amp knocks my 3 JL12W6's Hard as hell, with deep clean Bass. Never shuts of even on 2 hour road trips of with the system bumping the whole time. The built in fan does a good job!

BIG BUMPn

Strength:

none realy, it promises to be a 1,500 watt max amp and is SAID to run at about 900 RMS, wich is a total load of bull.

Weakness:

just about everything to be honest, i have my stuff installed in my 99'SVT Contour, and before some jeks came allong and stole my stuff i was running a RF 800a2...the one from Best Buy,with three JL Audio 12W6's...and that amp put my V12 to absolut shame.

this amp is realy a slap in the face to anone who thinks that just because they are buying somthing with the ALPINE name on it, they are also buying quality stuff. this amp is junk, if you see one in your buddys trunk be sure to smash it to bits, caus it sux. then say your sorry and go help this lost soul find a REAL amp.

Similar Products Used:

800a2, like i said...WAY better amp. but i think im gonna buy the MMATS d300HC or the D200HC now, because 1,800 watts RMS is truly a force to be reconed with!!!

big bumpn doesnt know anythin

Listen big bumpn, just because you have rockford in your car Rather then alpine, doesnt mean that you can give alpine crap. Mate the Mrv-1507 will blow the pants off your crappy 800a2 away anyday. My friend has this amp, which he hooked up some funny device to it which gave him a figure(not sure what) which let him work out how much power in rms you can get out of it at 4ohms and he is pulling out over a kilowatt of rms power at 13.3volts.
My suggestion to Big Bumpn is, go have a cry about your rockford amp because im sorry but the alpine mrv-1507 blows the hell out of it. So go and smash the crap out of your crappy 800a2 and GET help in choosing another amp because you know **c* all.

Strength:

Plenty of wattage, sleek design, fan cooled, built-in crossover and EQ.

Weakness:

Rather large.

This amp puts out some serious wattage. I am using this amp with a Kicker VS12L7 and it defines the term perfect. This amp packs a punch for what you need in an amp. Make sure that you concider all you options before getting an amp. This amp is very well made and will make a perfect addition to your system.
