It does tend to heat up, and thats just about it.

the "300s" for $110 off ebay, u cant really beat it. i had read a review in car stereo magazine saying that these amps compared to (the almighty) McIntosh, and kenwood amps, not the excelon, but the series that states the peak power in big letters on the front. either way, it sound great and is powering my front stage very well. It is rated at 30x4, but puts out 50x4. It will heat up, espectially into 2 ohm loads, but my air cooled amp rack fixed that problem.

The Alpine 100M Sounds beutiful...doesnt hit your car battery very hard at all...powers three JL W0s easily...

When coupled with three 10" JL W0s it sounds flawless, and for 200 bucks, it makes one hell of a deal. I have by far the loudest system in my parking lot at school and people just dont beleive that all i have is an Alpine 100M.

It looks Cool.

I could see how it might be too long for some people, but it mounts perfectly on the side of my box containing three 10W6's.

I would highly recomend it. It runs pretty stable and doesn't shut off even when pumping around 1,800 watts for extended periods of time. I got mine for just over $500.
I would recomend this amp to anyone who needs alot of power. This amp has plenty of power for four 10w6's You would have to have several MASSIVE subs to need more power than the V12 1507 could handle.

Decent amp, but shuts down sometimes. I took a 3 hour trip and played it at medium volume and it shut off after about 2 1/2 hours. I took same trip using an MTX Black Gold 2125 and it never shut down, even playing loud at 3 ohm mono to a JL 15W6.

this thing slams my 3 12's, ive blown 2 with it already, im running 2 kenwoods, and 1 pioneer.very powerful, its a 5 channel, and the 5th channel pumps out very adequate power

Seems to have good enough power for my system. Price I paid for it.

When I first got it, it was overheating and shutting down. This past winter, one of the front channels wouldn't work until the amp would warm up. This spring I have noticed I had lost some of the Dbs going to that same channel.

I got this amp cheap from Circuit City. It was a return due to the first owner wrecking the car it was installed in after 2 weeks. I got it at less than half the price and it has now been fixed under warranty. Would I buy another Alpine amp? I doubt it. At least Alpine used to have cool ads with the Lamborghinis years ago. If anyone else has had a similar problem, please let me know. It does a decent job powering my Polk components up front and 5" Polks in back and the sub drive is powering 2 Pioneer 10" subs. I guess if I could get another for the same price, I might. But it was sheer luck I picked this one up for the price I did.

I have an MVR 1507 and an MVR 407
I paid about $1000 for both and have had absolutely no problems yet. These amps will not distort under any conditions I have tried, I have tried everything imagineable to get a bad signal from these amps, but it just doesn't work. I run the 1507 to 2 12" solo-barics, and the volume level is insane. The 407 runs my interior speakers beautifully. I have seen a 1507 with 3 12w6s and I could not bare to sit in the car with the volume up.
These are the best amps I have ever seen. Anyone who wants incrediblew volume levels and no distortion should hook these amps up to high quality drivers.
