Rockford Fosgate says its only stable to 1 Ohm . Other than that there are none .

This is the best sub amp I have ever owned . The test certificate that came with it said 1192 watts . When I got the amp I was a little disapointed when I took it out of the box , its so small , I thought no way does this amp put out 1192 watts ! I hooked it up to two twelve inch RF punch HX2's , Damn ! It made my subs hit sooo hard ! I could'nt belive the power this thing was putting to my subs . They are 500 watts RMS and 1000 watts peak and this amp has no problem pushing them to their limits . Also its a class D amp design which means less heat more eficiancy . I have had some amps get so hot you could'nt touch them , this one barely gets warm even after jammin for hours . The bd1000's are rated at 76% eficiancy which is high considering most class A amps are 60% at best . Rockford says its only 2 Ohm stable but I have been running it for two months now with no problems at all . If you are looking for a small very powerful subwoofer amp , I highly recommend the bd 1000a1 !

I have used sub amps from Kenwood , PPI , Cadence , Pioneer , and Alpine . None of these came close except the Cadence , and it sucked way more juice than the Rockford .

This grin has been plastered on my face for the past few months now. I can't get rid of it and I might need surgery.

I decided to go with Xtant to power my Boston Acoustics 12.5LF proseries sub (which is an awesome sub by the way), but after all my friends wouldn't shut up about how great the bd1000a1 is, I finally decided to shut their holes by going out and getting myself this amp. Xtant? Yeah, it's a good amp... actually, it's a great amp! Get it if you've got the money... but to power my bostons, you need pure, raw power. Only Rockford Fosgate can supply that. I've got the perfect solution for everybody out there looking for enough power to run their high wattage sub: Get the bd1000a1. It runs nice and clean until it's D class technology takes over once you hit full throttle... it's over then. You'll squash anybody that tries to come along and compete. But for the nice drives to the grocery store and back, the B class technology gives you a nice clean sound. The remote bass boost is also a huge added plus and convenience.

I had a 800a4 running my subs at first and when i put this in there was a huge difference. i could feel the pressure on my ears, but that didnt last long becuse then i belw my subs with it. now i have 2 infinty perfects 12s comming.

It has a remote bass knob, has power but it will die if turned up for too long

I blew the amp within a month, I can fry an egg on it when it heats up, and when I'm riding by people and want to turn my radio up to show off i don't want to worry it will cut off.

I have used this amp on 2 RF HX2 for a little over a month. It pushes them, but I wouldn't say to the extreme. If I listen to them at full volume I will get about 15-20 minutes out of the amp until it gets hot and shuts off for about 3-5 minutes. I have 2 gauge cable and a 1 farad cap. The amp is wired at 1 ohm, but when I had different speakers wired at two ohms it still heated up when played loud.
It is an allright amp, but I am a little disappointed. I wouldn't recommend it to someone who wants to feal like they got beat up everytime they listen to the radio(like me). But if you are into sissy listening then this is for you.

WOW! You simply can't beat Rockford amps!!! especially this one. I replaced my PPI A600 art series (great amp) with this one... smart choice. I own lots of Rockfords, all the way back to the 500m (beast too), and this one is simply the best. You won't believe the amount of power this thing puts out, 1 ohm baby!!!! and it's compact. get one and stand back as you watch the tree at the next DB Drag light up!
