I have had this unit since it was new. Afew months ago I decided to sell it along with the cd changer and playstation 2 I had with it. Well the guy I sold the unit to had me help him install it in his street rod and it asked for the key cd and well I sold it after I sold the unit. The key cd is Juvenile 800 degrees, but I can't find it anywhere and he goes to the nationals car show next week and I kinda need to know how to crack the system or a way to get the cd in a matter of days. Any help is appreciated.

Good quality sound for 12 months

At first it was a great deck, after 13 Months, static sound started to come from reciever, left bank burnt out, now static is starting to come from CD output. How many people have bought a Toyota with the stock deck and found that Left/ right channel was burnt out? Fujitsu Ten is the MFG. Same as the MFG of Eclipse

-Excellent sound -I like the CD key feature -ESN is a great add-on

-After 2 years the sound from the CD player (not radio) begins to have a static sound coming through the speakers -When volume is high, it sounds like the CD is scratched but it is not -I would not buy another Eclipse deck because of this

Pretty good deck. Looks plain and simple and the rotary volume control is an excellent addition to the deck.

This is my second Eclipse unit and it is outstanding. Best sounding digital to analog converters in car audio. Great build quality, great reception, great looks, great security system onboard. Good flexibilty. Easy install. For those "clowns" who complain that the key disc feature is a pain in the neck, let me clue you in on why it is tough to get the unit unlocked by Eclipse. Some thief nabbed the old unit out of my car and tried to use it in his car. He called Eclipse because the unit locked up. The next day I had called Eclipse and reported the unit stolen. The guy who ripped the unit off called Eclipse 3 times and actually gave them his name, phone number, and address. Less than 2 hours after his phone call, the police paid him a visit and found tons of stolen stuff. He is now in jail. Thanks Eclipse.

has a good sound. nice looking radio. no one could ever steal it and use it.

very bad reception. security device is to much for anyone to deal with. not user friendly.

radio came in a used mini van. do not like the key cd idea. had to call company to have radio unlocked. people ot eclipse "were not" the nicest people i have ever talked to. they needed to much info to unlock radio, i.e. had to fax owners card, mothers madden name, name, what type of car it was in, etc. would not recommend. reception is very poor.

Bought this as a marked down previous model (but still brand new in the box). Even better than the one I had almost 10 years ago. I couldn't find a deck that looked nice enough to go in my car--most were silver, motorized, ridiculous displays and pretty much gaudy. Most were suitable for 13 year olds, but not adults who don't want to bring down the appearance of their car. I just want good sound in a nice package. This one offers excellent performance with none of the frills that I didn't need (or want). Hasn't skipped yet. Glad I found it, and at a great price. May not be the current model, but that really doesn't change anything but the price. Excellent performer with a dignified appearance and just right options. This is a rarity now.

Bad radio reception Skips somethimes on bad roads ESN: People of ECLIPSE BE AWARE! i had my stereo stolen and altouhg i had key cd activated it didnt stop the thief from stealing it and i know people who has bought locked (stolen?) eclipse decks and they just take it to local eclipse dealer, pay like 40 dlls and they send it to the factory to be reactivated and return it ready to use. People at eclipse should really consider doing something about that. And, anyways, ESN does not do much if the thieves doesnt know what it is...

Great deck! i had it running a pair of old pioneer 6x9's at the back, a pair of really cheap tweeters on the front and 12" MTX in the trunk and the 54400 made everithing sound awesome. i would say i had more sound quiality than others who spent 3 times more money than i did. i would say its the best on its price range but read further.

took me a while to wire up because bmw uses german wire colors. thats only with them.

I just bought this awsome reciver, it is so easy to use and the sound is like no other.
