Strength:

Folding face plate. Looks good. Lots of different settings.

Weakness:

Skips way too much!!!!!!!!!!! No graphics. Confusing abbreviations in menus.

Decent deck. It provides good power, and looks really cool. Folding face is a plus. I had a problem with a CD skipping. I mean, my subs hit hard enough to make it skip. What is that? Also, the menus were hard to figure out. Only choose if you want an average setup.

Strength:

45x4 powers speakers well, 4.5 v preouts are great, crossovers help to focus the sound of the front and rear speakers and subs to perfection, settings for everything, 5 equalizer presets to adjust sound around, flip face hides deck and adds class and luxury to this already luxurious deck, factory speakers sound great with this deck, especially when the crossovers are set right, remote has numbers on it so you can choose the presets from the remote, att, fm/am, volume, tune/seek(station or track/cd), play/pause buttons, overall exquisite headunit.

Weakness:

NONE WHATSOEVER; THE FLIPPING FACE IS NOT TOO SLOW TO RETRACT TO PUT IN NEW CD'S, EVEN THOUGH OTHER REVIEWERS FEEL SO FOR SOME REASON OR OTHER...MAYBE, THEY ARE NOT PROVIDING ENOUGH POWER TO THE DECK?

Excellent unit: plenty of power, plenty of settings, awesome flip face, awesome sound, nice remote

Strength:

Pretty good features. 4 V preouts. Good SQ. Handles bumpy roads well.

Weakness:

Has trouble playing some CDR's. Preout went bad. Rotating faceplate not a good idea.

A decent HU for the price. When the preouts work, they sound good, but the "Front" preout went bad with no warning. I think that thieves have figured out that the black faceplate=eXcelon. It doesn't play CDR's as well as it did when I first bought it. The internal amplifier doesn't compare to Clarion decks that I've heard. For a similar price, I would recommend Nakamichi, Alpine, or Clarion.

Strength:

Easy to use once you figure it out. Great quality, and i like the auto station radio name...

Weakness:

Not all features work in eject mode it would be cool if they did...

Screams my pioneer 6x9's and my 4's and still has power to run my amps in the trunk. With my 3 jlw-6's this is like the best head ive ever had and ive had those for over a year now. You should definently get this if you are even thinking of setting up a nice system.

Strength:

Display is incredible. 4.5 volt preamps. Customization of music is great. Ability to control frequency that goes through to the speakers from the deck (when using the preamps).

Weakness:

Surprising for such a high end deck that it only has 2 preamps. Spinning CD in blue at the bottom left is kind of stupid. Display for CD naming only show's 8 characters, where even the 7011 allowed you to see 12.

This is a great deck with tons of features. Sound is clear and output to amps is a good signal. My system rocks hard. Great for people who have more than just stock speakers, are using amps, and even have subs in the trunk. Enjoy this jewel of a product.

Strength:

Extreme sound customization, great sound quality

Weakness:

Long Menus, no direct station # access

I like this because of the reasonable price at the time and that it had a built in adjustable Xover for F/R and sub. It also was red (match my dash) and the lame spinning graphics could be disabled (i hate ridiculous graphics). I have it hooked to an eXcelon X401M sub which it controls nicely.

Strength:

Very nice looking, and many different features. When using multiple amplifiers, the radio lets you adjust the bass. many features. Very clear sound.

Weakness:

Nothing yet. It does take a while to figure out all the features but once you do it, it is GREAT!!

I will recommend it to all those stereo buffs who have a quality all around systems with amplifiers, sub woofer and all!!

Strength:

I think it has nice sound. You can do a lot with your music and it just looks cool.

Weakness:

On mine you need to put the face plate just right or it doesn't work for you. But once you get the hang of it, it's no problem.

Overall I think it is a good product to get. The 180 degree hideable face works will and looks cool. It has great sound and would be very nice to be a part of a car sterio system
