Strength:

High-end build quality - cutting edge hex cones and audiophile crossovers that need to be shown-off. And the sound quality will make you cream yourself in your kacks. Best babe-pulling rating of any Audio speakers.

Weakness:

errrrr - I'm really trying to see if I can find any - OK, maybe they're a tad bigger than the average 6.5' basket so may need some tweeking to fit in std factory cut-outs. But not as bulky as Focals. And they don't quite match my Bose Wave Radio for sound quality - yeah right!

Why oh why would anyone purchase the great, but similar priced M561's when you can grab these for around the same price! I went for the M561's but the retailer was out of stock and wanted to shift the Hex range, so he cut me the deal of the century on the spot. These look very similar to the M561 but have the step up in technology on the cone material and the better metal covers on the crossovers. Forgetting about the price - just in terms of pure sound quality these speakers rock. I use to be very partial to Bostons and still consider those the absolute minimum spec for any decent car audio setup. But when you want component speakers that handle around 100 W RMS, the Bostons just cannot compete on ultimate sound quality or value compared to DA - absolutley no contest. The Focals, especially Utopia's, are at least on par in sound, but being French imports, their price kills them. I also hear they're more of a pain to fit for comparable dia size and they don't tolerate power over and above they're ratings in any way without blowing.
MB Quart - sound is close but no cigar, and no where near good enough on price comparison.
I highly recommend these babies as high end quality but terrific value if you can grab them for $300 or less which is possible thru certain internet retailers.
Buy these and you'll be grinning from ear to ear with the best babe-pulling audio sound. You'll need a hat to cover your groin area while enjoying these as the babes will be lining up to give you a five knuckle shuffle.

Model Reviewed: Diamond Audio S600s HEX

Strength:

Incredible, natural sound on acoustical instruments but able to rock HARD when fed clean power.

Weakness:

Expensive- you get what you pay for. Requires comparable quality electronics and good installation.

Incredible performance- Smooth and non-fatiguing with amazing clarity and depth. You can pay more but why waste it? The silk tweeters are brilliant and never harsh, even at very loud levels. Bass/mids are the nicest I've ever seen & heard- terrific build quality. Crossovers use high quality components. The "rear fill" output actually saves a pair of amplifier channels and sounds great- this SIMPLE setup puts an excellent image up front where it belongs! Use with good quality electronics only- if your head-unit and amp have any noise or garbage, you'll hear it. Install with tight-fitting solid mounting, good wiring and lots of Dynamat- don't cheap out.

Focal, Soundstream Exact, etc. Diamonds are in the class with Utopias for much less.
