Strength:

It can play really loud and doesn't distort. The clearity is the best out there. It doesn't heart your ear even when you play really loud.

Weakness:

It is not easy to find a place where this speaker can demo its capablity.

This speaker was recommended by the saleman in the shop. I seldom believe in saleman because most of the time, they just want to earn your money. However, when it was installed into my car, the quality of the sound is so great that I couldn't believe it. It have listened to hi fi system like b&w, mclntosh etc and this set of speaker can really sound as good as those hi end home system. But at a super cheaper price.Ironically I am using a 65watt rms cheap amp to drive this set and it still plays very well. Many well known brands out there can't even compared with this set of speaker. Later then I realised that the materials they used are from steath plane technology.

Strength:

Clean mids and Highs.

Weakness:

Not much bass (that's why there are subs). Wire terminal broke off due to unknown reasons. Good thing I didn't get it online cause my dealer just gave me a new one no questions asked.

One word "Clean". All my friends keep on telling me this when they hear my beats. I am now able to hear guitar rifts that i couldn't hear before. Coupled w/ Kenwood KAC-X501F these speakers generate enough dB's (75 Watts). Compared to my friend's MB Quartz Q series, the hex series are a lil bit better and cheaper. Well worth the money

Strength:

Solid design, Very affordable price, Lowest mounting depth for the performance on any product. best crossover in the bussiness.

Weakness:

Lacks the lower end bass.

I had very little depth to play with less that 2 1/2 and had to review stats for a long time on every high end 6' components out there from Focal to Boston Q's. Heard them all in sealed installs and have to say the diamonds are porb. the best 6' money can buy. They have a real sturdy contruction and extreamly tight clean sound. I use to have the kickerRC6 in there but they cant even come close. Word of advice though. "Dynamat, Dynamat, Dynamat" It really does work, Also it works best with door enclosures that it fits in "AS IS". The tweaters are crisp and clean

Strength:

Clear high, mid, and even low ranges Powerful, awesome mid-bass - I put Dianamat Extrem on the doors, but the mid-bass still shakes the rear view mirrors.

Weakness:

Price - but what you pay for is what you get. Stupid policy - You can''t get warranty services, if you buy any Diamond Audio products from the internet.

First, I was very disappointed at the sounds it made until I put my door panels back on. I had never seen diamond audio speakers in person before I bought S600a, and I had never heard S600a sounds before I got it installed. why did I buy it? Well, I just trusted consumers'' reviews here and purchased S600a and 6.0mx3. I thought individual comments were all gibberish. However, after I put everything in its place, I couldn''t breath because of clarity and warm bass. Some of my friends own Bose systems in their luxury cars like Audi and Mercedes. After they listened to the sounds that my speakers generated, they said they would change their speakers to Hex series. In order to get the best out of the speakers, I had to buy a good amp as someone said earlier. So, I put Nakamichi 2004. My Hex series and Nakamichi work very well together. I couldn''t find the right words to describe my Hex, and I don''t know a damn thing about car stereos. But, I know S600a is one of the best.

I do not think these speakers are as great as everyone has said so far. My buddy has the older (and better) Eaton drivers with the silk tweets. He is running them 100W of clean power per side. They sound good at normal listening levels, but they do not sound good at high volume. They start to distort. Although they are far less expensive, I don''t see how you can compare them to the Focal Utopia line. PolyKevlar maybe...

Strength:

They have good mid bass, lots of movement. Nice light cone and high power handling. They can play loud with out distorting. The tweeters sound good also. I listen to a variety of music and these speakers can play all kinds of music.

Weakness:

They cut outs are too big, and the mounting depth is huge. But other then that they are awesome speakers. I have the older Hex series where the speaker is larger then the newer Hex speakers.

These speakers sound awesome. They have a nice warmth to them. They can play loud and still sound clear. I would buy Hex again. They dont cost a arm and a leg compared to the Focal Utopian serious.

Strength:

Nice, warm sound. Great bass reflex. The tweeters are not so bright.

Weakness:

I haven''t found one yet.

There''s a lot of positive things about these set of speakers. First of all, their quality is bad-ass. No lingering speaker terminal means a much cleaner connection. There''s too much for me to say. Just go listen to them and you won''t be disappointed. Make sure they''re powered by an external amp that puts out AT LEAST 75W RMS.

Strength:

Great tweeters. Built very well. Good looking speakers and crossovers (if that matters to you).

Weakness:

Lacks some midbass. Power hungry. Start to sound a little grainy at high volumes.

I was planning on getting some Focal 165W's, but some monetary setbacks forced me to downgrade. I got a deal on the Diamonds that I couldn't pass up, and I can say that I'm very impressed. The silk tweets are very smooth, much better than the aluminum ones that I heard. Unfortunately, the Utopia's that I heard just sounded incredible, and I just can never be fully satisfied with these speakers knowing what I am missing out on. If I had never heard the Utopias, I would probably have given these speakers a 5. Still, if you don't have $600 to spend on speakers, then I can say that these would be a very good choice for you. Just be sure to feed them a lot of power. I have 110 watts going to each side from an Arc 2100, and they are begging me for more. They start to sound a little grainy at high volumes, but that could easily be due to the amp's starting to clip (I need an oscilloscope to set my gains).

Strength:

Sound Quality, crisp tweeters, punchy midbass, well defined midrange, plays very well even at louder listening levels.

Weakness:

None that I can attest to.

OMG when I heard from a local dealer that I could get these 6.5" HEXs for 360 isntalled I jumped on it. At first I thought the tweeters were wacked out, but then I found out that the installer put the tweeter gain at 2db, let me tell you at this setting, these aluminium tweeters will hurt your ears, and I LOVE sharp defined highs, but at this setting it was too much for me. I fixed that and man they sound great. EVERYTHING is well defined (even the noise coming from my amp hehe). You hear EVERYTHING in the recordings. If you play an MP3 ripped CD, you can tell because you hear every little detail. I love these speakers and I truely believe they deserve a better amp than what I have powering them (Alpine MRV-F303 bridged, roughly 120x2WRMS). Although the tweeters are metal, some EQ adjustments will fix it, I have not personally had the pleasure of listening to the silk set, but I can bet they sound just as great as my aluminum tweet set. All in all Diamond Audio makes great products with their HEX line as well as their M5 line...GREAT stuff.
