I myself don't like how these speakers sound, but that doesn't mean they're bad speakers. The MB Quart are incredibly detailed, with impressive midbass as well as crystal clean highs. The one thing I don't like about these speakers is that they tend to hurt my ears if I listen to em for over five minutes. They defintely don't sound as smooth as some cheaper speakers (boston acoustics, DEI, RF fanatic Q's), but they are as accurate as they get. So basically what I'm trying to say is that you can get better speakers for less money.

I have recently replaced my Boston Acoustic Pro series for a pair of MB QUART Q series, it was a tough decision out of the other speakers i could have taken(Focal, Image Dynamics, and Diamond audio)but the Q Series just stood out, the imaging and detail of these speakers are incredible when connecting it to my XTANT 3300X amp, i was very surprised but one look at the craftsmanship of the Q Series, you understand why the Q Series is TOP LINE. I suggest a must buy for anyone who is a true audiophile.

Is the tweeter sitting on the dashboard 1 foot away from your ear while the midbass driver is in the cowl?

You probably listen to "Bose" speakers too much.

If the tweeter is any closer to your ear than its associate driver, you likely should be using one of the attenuted tweeter crossover points.

Is your graphic equalizer "smiling" at you?

MB quart Q series are in my opinion make some of the greatest sounding car speakers.

It is amazing how we really live in a world of stereo equipment that attenuates midrange clarity and high frequency resolution.

After listening to a top of the line set of Grado SR headphones.... MB Quart speakers are the only speakers I listened to that matched the sound of these reference headphones.
