My dealer recomended these to me [they sell alot of them] it is paired with a Eclipse head unit!!And a outboard 4 channel amp.They play loud,have excellent sounstage and imaging.Name recognition,was also a factor they make HIGH QUALITY home speakers and have been around a long time.They sound as accurate as the source material you feed it.Well worth the $$$

Again it come's down to price However pricey they sound TREMENDOUS.Warranty was another selling point.No weaknesses that I have found yet!!!

There sound is top notch can deliver BIG sound and play LOUD over extended periods without getting fatiquing.Ihave these paired [twice] with a 4 channel power amp and they sound airy , an open yet DEEP extended soundstage can be had.It was money well spent.They are as accurate as what you feed it ,they will reveal the subtle naunces in c/d 's you did not know were there.I drive 45 miles 1 way to work daily so this system get's a real work out!!!!!Buy them you'll love um!!!!!!

Kicker components...no comparison, the Q's are incredible!!

The finned forged Aluminum basket on the speaker and composite surround material added to the tweeter.

In US Dollars i paid 680. These new Q's are very pleasant and wonderfully constructed. The sound quality and imaging is outstanding, even in stock locations. I have also the older competition model of MBQ, the RSB218's, there is a difference between the two, the construction of the Q Series is much improved than the RSB referenz comps. Also the SPL is a bit higher on the Q's and the tweeters are more smooth/pleasant to the ears right out of the box, though with proper tweaking, the older tweeters would sound just as smooth and pleasant. Its all in the matter of how it is installed as well as tweaking. Overall, im very pleased with the new speakers by MB QUART. The Q series is highly recommended, but to truely know, one must go and listen for themselves.

I bought the MB Q's as i thought with out a doubt that they were the best full stop. Believe me when i say that I have heard them all( well i thought i had) now im not saying the Q's arent good but I then got to hear the older MB competitions- There was no comparison those compettions are absolutely outstanding.
Running them with phoenix gold amps they are clean, powerful, accurate and most importantly musical. you could split your head open with the clean DB before the speakers would even come close to distortion. Why the hell would MB stop making the best there is. My mum said dont fix what isnt broken??
Any way the Q's get a thumb up because they aregood but the MB competition's get two thumbs up and all my toes as well.
I would be interested in others opinions on these speakers as well

Excellent speakers. Detailed highs, mids were accurate, midbass punchy.

I recently did much listening to different top line speakers, which include Diamond Hex, Boston Pro's, Image Dynamics Chameleon, and JL Audio. My choice was the MB QUART Q Series QM218.61Q. the construction of the speaker is not only beautiful, but the imaging and sound is just magnificent. Smooth highs, clean midrange, and superb midbass. If your looking for the best, well look no farther.

First look at these speakers i wanted them, but looks can be deceiving, so i tried putting them in my stock location hooking it up to a PPI PC4800, the sound left me in AHHHHHhhh. Even in the Stock location the imaging was incredible. I am really impress with these speakers.

Definitely a well finished product. May not suit everyone's tastes. There are those crazy few out there that will hate anything with MB Quart written on it... Unbelievable imaging capability, soundstage is set just right even with the speakers in stock locations. Paired with an EQ and good subwoofers, perfect RTA is easily accomplished.

my brother just got the q's in his pathfinder. awesome sound, great highs and midrange. powered by an a/d/s amp, and matched with two jl 10's, cant be beat. worth the money.
