Strength:

These are hooked up to a pioneer deh-p5900lb and two polik speakers in the front doors. I have it all installed in a med-sized car and they really kick-ass. I would recommend them to anyone.

Weakness:

In my car there's none.

I 'm getting ready to purchase the same setup for my truck.

Strength:

power handling

Weakness:

overall sound quality, acurate mid range.

I would avoid these at all costs unless you want a really high sounding output(tweety). They can be clean with the right amp. vocals are harsh and not warm. If you are looking for a speak to reproduce your music more accuratly, get a polk, boston or mb quart. Pioneer is not know for thier accurate reproduction of music. They are known for cheap speakers.

Strength:

One of the FEW 4-way speakers made. VERY strong construction. NICE sounding speakers!

Weakness:

none

the pioneer 4 ways deliver the full range of seperate sounds perfectly. These speakers can handle what you throw at them! They are much better built and sounding then the lower model 6959's. Nice looking speakers also. Throw an amp on them and you'll really bring out these speakers.

Strength:

Great sq up high and its the closest thing you can get to a sub without getting one. Get an amp (got 45rms from an alpine v12 going to em) and whoh damn...when i got em i didn't have subs and these made ppl think i did...you can hear em a ways off.

Weakness:

If you give it deck power (even a lot like my mosfet pioneer) you won't get bass...at least not loud and clean.

$99 for a pair, expect to pay about $130-$150.
Get em if you're looking for 6x9's.
They own.

Similar Products Used:

I've heard many other 6x9's. For pure sq, a really high end like the 3-way infinity kappa *might* do better....for power and bass...and for the $99 I paid there is NO comparison.

Strength:

Great all around sound.

Weakness:

Need to be amped for best sound.

These are some great speakers. They put out great sound and are an overall great buy. Make sure you throw an amp on them to make them really sound their best. They still will sound good without an amp but not as good as they could. Definatley at least have an aftermarket headunit.

Strength:

Great highs amd mids with little power. The cost.

Weakness:

Need a semi powerful amp to get strong bass out of them.

I only paid $50 brand new so I like them, and since I have subs running them off my cd deck gets extreme highs and mids and dont need the bass they put out.

Strength:

Great Sound

Weakness:

You have to amp them.

I listend to the whole row of 6x9's in the store, and these sounded great. I liked them even more than the most expensive speakers. I had them running off of the face with only 25 watts and they still sounded great. When you amp them they are sweet. Very good range, they hit all of the highs and lows. Very good speakers compared to most for even a higer price.

Strength:

Good Highs and Good Mids

Weakness:

Not a lot of Bass off of 40 watts of reciever power, but hooked up to a punch 40DSM sounds great...

Without a doubt the best sounding 6X9's I've had in my car. When I bought them I listened to about 30sets of 6X9's the Alpine's bass sounded fake, the kenwood's had no highs but good bass, the Infinity's sounded about 5% better but costed twice as much. Good buy for $119
