Strength:

Mibass is the best I have heard from a 6.5inch driver. Very good detail to music.

Weakness:

Lots of deadening required for the doors, to get the most out of them and stop all the rattles

Truly an amazing speaker, once properly installed you really start to hear every little bit of detail in the music. Very good at both low and ear piercing levels. The only thing I could think of to better these components is to get another set and install them like in the JL Golf.

Strength:

everything... they look great and sound even better. i'm surprised these were made by polk instead of the car audio kings, alpine!

Weakness:

they have a huge magnet and they blow fairly easily. but besides that these are the best thing i've ever heard

these polk audio speakers are the best! the component system adds puts out a higher quality sound than any other speaker at circuit city. i was surprised when these component systems out played my type r speakers. The nice thing about circuit city is that if your speakers are blown you can return them with no extra cost, or upgrade them to better speakers. i used to have type r's but i blew them and got polk and no they are so much better. IF you have a 95 prelude be warned, i had to custom fit these speakers which took me over 5 hours! and if the wire connector thingys touch metal.. they bridge or something and it sounds crazy. but this can be fixed with electrical tape. but these speakers are the best things in the world! you can blow them easily if you listen to them very very loud, but the quality of sound is GREAT!

mid-bass

Weakness:

everything else

I hate them. I have used infinity, polk, jbl, boston, and these speakers blow. well they do have one thing going, great mid-bass, besides that the suck. I tried 2 diff. amps and they clipped at the lowest volumes on both. I would go with a high end infinity.

These speaqkers are just flat out great. I have them powered by an Alpine F200 amp giving them 100 watts apiece and they do not clip at any level that you put the music on.

Strength:

Good highs and mids.

Weakness:

Weak bass. Definitely need a sub and an amp. These speakers require a dedicated amp.

Naturally they are the best Polks available but if you want the best. Take a look a new Boston Z series. They are in a class by themselves. My ear is tuned to a more high-end, clean sound, so I am a bit bias in this regard.

Strength:

Sound Quality is second to none. Awesome midbass.

Weakness:

Tweeters are a little quiet, so don't get them if you only want to impress the people outside the car.

Awesome separates. I've heard other people's speakers, and many are a lot louder. However, I personally want to enjoy the sound inside the car more than the people outside the car. I was a little disappointed with the highs being so quiet, but after spending a whole day in my friend's backseat with tweeters screaming in my ears, I understand that the highs are quiter for a reason... it blends the sounds better and improves SQ. Never heard anything so clean in my entire life.

Strength:

excellent SQ, Mid bas.....awesome resolution of mid highs and mid lows...I need a utopia sub now!!

Weakness:

Long Break in period...but totally worth the wait

Read my summary earlier....I gave a glowing review of this speaker. One of the only problems is...you might have to turn it a TAD bit high to feel the musicality of the speaker JUST WAIT FOR THE SPEAKERS TO BREAK IN- THEY''LL OUTDO MOST OTHERS in THE CONSUMER MARKET

Similar Products Used:

Focal Utopia (way better than momo''s) BA Pro (not worth a mention) Infinity (Musical and picky about enclosure...best in free air) ADS 3 series....nice CDT cambria ....one of the nicest heard

Strength:

SQ, extremely well built, for the money I don't know what would compare.
I like the styling...the crossovers are nice if you want to display them.

Weakness:

Not much...hex machine screws take awhile to install compared to regular screws but look very good. The crossovers are bigger than they need to be.

Replaced a set of BA Pro6.4 with the Momo 465 w/o even having a chance to hear them first. I can't believe the difference in SQ and detail. In fairness to the BAs...I replaced several other components in my system at the same time but the Momos are crytal clear and very quick. Plenty of midrange punch. When I first hooked em up I thought I had my crossovers backwords because I had so much midbass...if felt like my sub was in the dash. These brought the stage front and center with the bass 'upfront'.
I have them installed in sealed fiberglass kicks...excellent music!!!

Similar Products Used:

BA Pros...very good speakers but there is a definite difference in SQ and detail. Listened to Focal PolyK2, MBQ (not the Q's), Soundstream, Hex's,
Only one I didn't get to hear was the Utopias, but I was never going to open my wallet that wide anyhoo. Get em and hook em and enjoy em.
