Strength:

Very very low bass. Hard hitting. Just can't compete with the aluminum cone. Can handle up to 1400 watts!

Weakness:

None.

I paid $225 a piece but I forget where. These subs can destroy Audiobahns, JLs, Kickers, and even the Orion XTRs. I have never tried them against two Orion HCCA 12s though. I have the two Infinity Kappa Perfect 12.1s in a sealed dual hatchback box in the back of my 94 Jeep Grand Cherokee and they SLAM! I have an Orion HCCA 225R amp hooked up to them and I blow ALL the competition away. I would definitly recoment them to every person wanting great sounding bass down to 18hz.

Weakness:

i paid 300$ for 1 sub, and well worth it. im using a kenwood 600 watt amp which i think is plenty for the sub.i would recommend it for any one. very cheap for the quality.

What can I say??? These subs blew out a store's window while playing inside during a demonstration. "Oh my God!!" is all that I could say. That was when I knew that I had to make these subs mine. I have 2 12's with a kenwood 600 watt amp going to each sub. I have a Caravan and these subs definitely fill up the space. These subs answer the question "How low can you go?" You can't get any lower than this. I got pulled over because of these, but I do not regret it.

Weakness:

hmmm....lemme think.....nope.....can't say that there are any....nope.

I paid $275 for 2 12's because I got the hook up. Most people pay at least 350, but it is definitely a wise investment. You will definitely get your money back if you enter any car stereo competitions. I know this because I have!!! You need to make sure you have a good big box for these. They also need power if you want to win those competitions, so do some research before you design your system.

used to have: 2 kicker competition 12's, 2 b-52 12's, 2 rockford fosgate punch power dvc 12's, 2 orion 12's, 2 boston acoustic 12's, 4 clarion 12's, some Momo competition 12's, and just about every other brand out there. The infinity's just blew out the competition. I put this in my friend's Accord and 1 back window and 1 front window shattered. The SPL on these subs is.....what's the word........lets just say its like "Whoa".

Strength:

Superior SQ along with great SPL, amazing power handling, bumps like no other.

Weakness:

Needs a good deal of power.

$380 for the pair off of tms-electronics.com, couldn't ask for a better sub for the money, only have around 300 watts going to each right now and it pounds, can't wait to get around 600 going to each. Don't follow infinity's recommendations on sealed box volume, they recommend 1 cubic foot, but give them at least 1.25 cubic feet, the difference is definitly noticable, I have mine in a 1.5 cubic ft. per chamber box and I think that this is the optimal size for these woofers.

Best sub on the market in its price range, no doubt.

Weakness:

Not very efficient
tinsel leads hit cone(this was solved in the 12.1 model)

I paid about 410 for the pair.

These are excellent subs. They sound excellent. They have extremely impressive low frequency extension and will take an incredible amount of power. I have been very satisifed with the pair of them that I purchased, and would reccomend them to anyone that wants a great sounding sub capable of awesome low frequency detail and good SPL as well.

It is pretty well unmatched in it's price range. The Alumapro Alchemy and Crystal CMP are the only ones I've known to best it, and both are more expensive.

Strength:

Incredible sound quality, DEEP bass, kick-you-in-the-pants boom boom boooooom, tight sound. Kick ass looks too :)

Weakness:

VERY power hungry, WILL BREAK WINDOWS EASILY!!!

I paid 420 for the pair off of audio-n-more.com. Very very very nice subs...hit lower than anything else I've ever heard, including the Orion HCCA models. These things eat power, though. The more you put into them, the more you will get out. (peak at 1400!) These things will NOT blow. Kicks Rockford's ass for sure.

Strength:

this sub hit a note on a bass cd i have that i've never heard before, all my other subs couldn't go as low as this infinity can

Weakness:

none!

300 bucks for the 12 and a box, go crutchfield. i found cheaper prices on the net but no box at those prices either. this is the best subwoofer i've ever owned. i'm gonna get a new amp (cause 450 watts just ain't enough with this beast) and then i'll see what this baby can really do!

Weakness:

are you kidding me

just an incredible sub, i have 2 Perfect 12's with a Pioneer Premier PRS-X720 (this amp is insane, but that another review) and my friend has 2 JL Audio W-6's and my infinitys destroyed them. I love these things.I also got them for $180 each instead of $300.

Model Reviewed: 10" Inifinity Kappa Perfect Sub

Strength:

Clean, Loud, and low bass in a very small cabinet. 2/3 cu ft, sealed for my 10". Alunimum driver for reduced distortion. Large cone extersion. High sensitivity: 94db for 10", 96db for 12" - Need less power to get more sound.

Weakness:

They don't make 15's or larger. They cost alot.

$250 for driver (12" is $300) - you can find it discounted for about 50-70 off some places, plus $150 to have the cabinet built - well built - over 50lbs. This is simply the BEST sub for its size. Will slap JL silly. I've heard the eclipse sub is great too, but haven't heard it.

I'm powering it with a 75W Rockford mono amp (does 110W peak, 150W in 2ohm). Is plenty to get it nice and loud it the car. Woofer is rated at 400W rms, 1400W peak. I can't imagine a couple of 12's connected with some 1000W amps. There go the windows.
