Strength:

Extremely tight, loud, accurate bass. This one woofer makes my whole car rattle!! Infinity is amazing!

Weakness:

I get headaches when I listen to my bass CDs.

I paid $220 off an Internet retail store and it is worth more! I installed it a Honda Civic with an Alpine amp putting out 500watts
and I hit 140 dbs with one sub! Now I hooked it up to the Alpine MRV-1507 putting out 1500 watts and its even louder. One of my friends has
2 MTX 6000 12s in a Jeep and the Infinity hits harder, louder, and has way better SQ. Another friend has a Sony Xplod 12 in his car and
there is no comparison what so ever. I would recomend this woofer to anyone who wants to have the best car stereo.

Similar Products Used:

MTX, Sony Xplod, JBL. This woofer would hit harder and louder than all those at the same time!!

Strength:

This baby hit hard in a sealed box. I am feeding her with an Rockford Fosgate Punch G500a2, which provides about 500W RMS (according to the manuals) and she is taking it with no problem. Three years warranty form local dealer. Good SQ.

Weakness:

Did not find any yet.

Got it from a local dealer with good deal. Paid $850 (installed) plus tax for the 12.1, enclosure, G500a2, and a Clarion DRX7675z HU. All are brand new and come with manufacturer warranty. Yes, I would recommend it to others who are looking for a sub that provides good tight bass.

Strength:

Excellent sound and power handling, 3 year warranty, durability

Weakness:

If I had one at all it would be the price, but it is still the best!

All I have to say is that I have heard a lot of subs and can't imagine not having my Infinity. The name says it all. Perfect. If you are looking for subs, give this one a listen!

If the price is a bit too high (maybe you want like three subs, even though I'm a man who likes a balanced system) you should look into the Kappa series. I have one of those too and am quite impressed with it. No matter what, Infinity makes the best car speakers in the business, hands down!

Similar Products Used:

MTX, Cerwin-Vega. I had the MTX and really liked it but it got stolen, then the Vega was good but I heard an Infinity and immediately fell in love.

Strength:

The sub is very accurate and hits really low.
It has very good SQ and is very musical
Very well built and attractive

Weakness:

The sub is very powerhungry so give it lots of juice

I recommend the perfect it hits very low and is not only good for spl but SQ as well. One of the best all around subs out in the market for the price. It is hard to find a better sub cheaper than the perfect. I would greatly recommend this sub if you have enough at least 300 watts to give to each one.

Strength:

Wow...deep rumble bass that rules the earth. Hit's pretty hard. Decent power handling. Excellent sound quality.

Weakness:

*see below*

Wow....great sub and I love the pair I had....but the sad thing is, one blew three weeks after I got it. :( I had the same power going into both of them, 400 *clean* watts RMS from a Punch Power 800...and one just decided to die on me. Soooo after three MONTHS of waiting, I finally got my replacement and all is well. I do still love the subs...but I don't understand why the hell that one just gave up on me, especially with the gain all the way down. :(

Strength:

Great sound quality, hits good/low, and looks good

Weakness:

it only shakes my mirrors a little

Im putting 400watts rms into 1 12" in the back of my SUV. The amp is the Infinity Beta Digital 100 (400x1 @ 4ohms). It has lots of bass and great SQ but its not enough to brag about. It barely shakes my damn mirror, that pisses me off. Overall, this sub kicks ass.

Strength:

amazing subwoofer. The bass goes so low.

Weakness:

none

I installed these into a Honda Civic. These subwoofers are so powerful, turning one up gives people in the car headaches. This is the perfect subwoofer for teens. They try to turn up the bass on their cars stereo system so their speakers distort, making it sound like they're more powerful then they really are. This makes terrible sound and ruins the speakers. They won't need to with this. Infinity also makes great speakers. I would recommend this product.

Had good sounds, it did hit low and hard, and it did look cool.

Weakness:

Fake Thermal Power Handling Specs! This is not a "Perfect" speaker. Listen, ask questions, and make sure you know what you are buying.

Let's see, I bought this sub from Crutchfield and used their free box. Saturday, June 24 is when I got my total system playing, part of which is with an Infinity Kappa 202a bridged at 600x1 rms driving this so called "perfect" sub. By the way, there are no weak links in my system, everything is high quality and this isn't a ghetto system with amplifiers from Ames or the jcwhitney catolog farting out distorted bass and making people look at your car and wonder why doesn't this kid, highschooler playing a boom disc of course, buy some dynamat and put in a cap. Tues, June 27 I was playing my system very loudly on the bridge to upset people going home from work and my fuse gave at my battery. Figured it was too much strain, so i upped the fuse to match the max current draw of my largest amp. Yes I have a Cap. Put in a new fuse and my "perfect" sub was blowing static. I pushed on it and it didn't flex at all. This sub will be going back to Crutchfield along with the box, which by the way is .88 ft^3, and they recommend 1 ft^3. I have learned that you should not always trust the specs on paper. This sub that is so "perfect" and supposedly handles 1400 watts peak power, couldn't even handle my clean amp and my clean eclipse 54430 head unit source. Yes I was sending it 250 more watts than it was suppose to constantly take, but thats all i exceded it by. I didn't even have half of the thermal handling power rating going to it. I was not distorting it either, if noon is the lowest setting on my gain, I had it at 2oclock to give you an idea. Looks like i'll be getting 1 Polk MOMO or 1 Eclipse 88000 series. Specs on paper can be fudged, and this is a prime example of how a prestigious(sp) company like Infinity does so, maybe more often than we know it. Makes me wonder if my Infinity amp puts out the 600 watts they claim it puts out rms, hey I can just borrow $1000 HP multimeter from work and do a little test. I see the high ratings that people give this sub, then I see the three young fellas that are probably all friends, saying that MTX is better. Maybe it is, but I myself on my own personal experience with this sub, the whole 6 hours it was used, if that, have to give this sub 1 star and 1 star, just because the manufacturer lied to me and everyone else, and because now I have to waste my personal time ripping the damn thing out shipping it back, and shopping around and reading reviews for a new one. This sub did sound clean and low, and it did hit hard, while it was still working. Listen before you buy, or buy from Crutchfield then listen then return if you no like, and be sure to ask lots of questions to upset the salesperson and make him think you aren't going to buy it right before you pull out the credit card, and you best make sure it be an authorized retailer or else no 3 year warantee. THIS IS NOT A PERFECT SUBWOOFER, A PERFECT SPEAKER WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO BE SMOKED, DON'T BELIEVE THE 1400 WATT POWER RATING, IT COULDN'T HANDLE MY 600 RMS WATTS THAT I WAS SENDING IT ONLY FOR A HALF HOUR WITH ME CONSTANTLY TURNING THE VOLUMN LEVEL UP AND DOWN.

Well, now I should shop around I guess since I'm definitely not replacing it.

Strength:

everything about it.

Weakness:

every other sub on the market

god took some clay, molded it, shot a lightning bolt into it, and out came the infinity perfect 12. This sub is essentially indestructable, no matter how much wattage I push into it, it keeps getting better. Being a serious music listener, I've listened to alot of jazz, classical and fusion, where transients are king. I've got a trio of these subs, each driven by a mmats D300HC amp in my ford explorer and broke a few windows with them (some of them weren't mine!). these subs make an earthquake seem weak. There's simply nothing better than the infinity perfect 12.
By the way, if you're looking for some seriously low, intestinal-disrupting bass, get a copy of the telarc sampler CD with the "jurassic lunch" track on it. We're talking bass down to 10 Hz here, folks. See how long your subs last (or don't!)
