Strength:
This thing sucks
Weakness:
Just about anything All you guys who think the infinity subwoofer is good are wrong. No matter what don't get an infinity. Those subs suck. Get a better kind and save your money. These things blow way too easily. I think it has something to do with a impedence mistake that infinity let slip through testing. I would recommend a JL or an MTX. Strength:
Everything, the only woofer I've heard bump louder than my 2 12 inch Perfects are Eclipse Titaniums.
Weakness:
Nothing, except for they're so frickin heavy from the huge magnets on these monsters! OH yes! These subs make your eyes wiggle, you can barely even see with the bass turned all the way up. I only have a 300 watt PPI amp pushing them and they pound that good. Similar Products Used: Eclipse Titaniums bump better but not by much. |

Strength:
everything from the looks the sq and the deep clear bass.
Weakness:
none well no offense to tim below i don't think u can blow a perfect that's only getting 150 watts a peice. 150 watts won't even get these subs moving. i have 650 going into each from a mmats 300 2 ohm amp and they love that. so i'm stating that no one listen to tim because if you give this sub 150 then go for an idq or jl if you give them 400+ watts you'll be very happy. and from my experiences these will pound the hell out of the mtx, jl,idq, but it all depends on your setup so buy these for 190 a peice @ mmxpress.com andthen buy a good amp then you won't sound like stupid knocking these subs like tim. Strength:
These subs kick DEEP and CLEAN. I'm running 400 RMS to each sub, and the subs kick deep. I've tested them w/ bass cd's, rap cd's, and trance cd's. They kick deep and precise w/ all of them, even blasting them at full levels they don't distort. These are PERFECT. goto http://WWW.SOUNDHABIT.COM I got them brand new from them for 195 each. (12")
Weakness:
none so far. price???? RECOMMENDED TO PEOPLE WHO WANT DEEP AND CLEAN PRECISE BASS. Similar Products Used: None |

Strength:
They play loud
Weakness:
Can't handle any power and distort when playing rap real loud I paid $520 for a pair and one of them blew out after two weeks and I only had a 300 watt amp. I think the one blew becouse I was playing rap with constaint changing bass and they couldn't handle it. I will not buy one of these again, instead I decided to buy a pair of MTXs. In my opinion the coils inside are not heavy duty and this prevents the subs from playing bass that changes largely in frquency at a rapid pase. the test cds don't show this weakness becouse they have frequencies that go like this 30,29,28,27,26,exc......(in order). Rapid changing bass goes like this 90,35,90,25,70,exc...(largly out of order). My friend bought a pair of Radio Shack subs and they passed the Cd all the way down to 19Hz, but they blew the next day. So if you want to take your chances with these go ahead. Similar Products Used: MTX Rockford fosgate Solo Barics |

Strength:
looks, sound, power handleing
Weakness:
NONE Tim is right he did blow a Perfect with 150 watts. How is this? Underpowering a sub is worse than overpowering it. Underpower will actually blow the sub whereas overpower will not. From what the techs at Phoenix Gold have told me it is IMPOSSIBLE to blow a sub by too much power. Similar Products Used: NONE |

2000 Kappa Perfect 12
Strength:
Puts out the bass I've been looking for forever. Clean, solid, hard hitting bass. Barely any distortion. The subs drop lower than any other system I've heard.
Weakness:
They make my trunk rattle like a b**ch! :) Overall: Great Subs!! I paid $179 each over eBay (pretty good deal i think). I have 2 hooked up to a Rockford Fosgate 800a2. And these things quake real nice. I would recommend these speakers to anyone who is looking to add some SERIOUS bass to their sound system. I have 400 watts RMS pushin these, i know they could take a lot more. I think if i put any more power to these, my trunk would fly off or sumthin. heh. I hope this helps anyone trying to decide whether or not to buy these speakers. Great Investment! Similar Products Used: Ive heard some of those Pioneers that they sell at Best Buy. LOL! The Perfect 12s blew them away. Ive also compared my system to my friends who has 2 JL W3's, Dropped much lower and hit much harder. |

Strength:
Ultimate bottom end. From a test CD actually got down to 16 hz.
Weakness:
Absolutely none. Please build a sealed 1" thick enclosure, (glued and screwed), exactly as Infinity suggest and you'll have a sub that CANNOT be beat by anyone. Anyone who posts about this sub not handling power has a problem of their own. I power this bad boy with an Alpine V12 Expert amp in mono with 1100 watts rms. This things ROCKS... Nate is a good guy
Strength:
loud
Weakness:
this sub does not have a weakness ok i heard this subwoofer in a car audio shop and i don't even want to talk about it. all i know is that i am probably going to buy it... but i am caught between 3 options. i have decided to buy from crutchfield, even though they are overpriced, with a free box you can't go wrong. I have narrowed the choices down to the Perfect, Kenwood Excelon DB+, or the MTX 8000. I don't want to regret spending 300 bones for the Perfect, but it might be worth it. I mean, for 220, i could get the Excelon... but is that any good? For 250 i could get the MTX... but its sensitivity sucks. If anyone has any suggestions that would be sweet. |

Strength:
Wonderful sound quality, very efficient, incredible extension.
Weakness:
still searching This thing is truly amazing, ive had many subs before (MTX, JLW3, older Infinitys) and this is by far the best sounding one ive ever owned. It is installed in a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee, with a Precision Power PC2300.2 powering it. It’s being given 300 watts rms. I honestly can’t believe the level of sound quality as well as its efficiency (damn thing is loud!). I compared the sub to a 12" MTX 7000, an 88120dvc Eclipse, Polk Momo 12, JL 12W3, all in 1 cubic foot sealed enclosures given 300 watts rms. I had the luxury of listening to each of these right in my jeep, not in a show room! The Infinity Perfect was the cleanest, hardest hitting sub of them all. But the only sub that outperformed this was the Eclipse aluminum cone (88120dvc); however the $250 price difference was not worth the small increase in performance. I purchased this sub from Crutchfield for $299 with the box included. The Eclipse sub was $400 with a box costing $150 from Tweeter Electronics in New Hampshire. I would definitely recommend this sub, but I truly believe its meant to be in a sealed enclosure given ample clean power. Value has to be 5 stars… for $300 it cant be beat. As for performance I give it 4 stars since only the Eclipse outperformed it (slightly!). Similar Products Used: JL 10 W3 (two of them)... believe it or not, this single Infinity Perfect 12.1 hits harder than two JL 10W3s in a ported enclosure. I did a side by side comparison before i sold my JL w3s over Ebay, and yes, the infinity blew both JL 10w3s away. Also hits harder than a 12 inch MTX 7000 in an exact size sealed enclosure. |
