Strength:

Sick Bass

Weakness:

If I were Infinity I would charge more.

This woofer is money better that spent. I have a McIntosh 500x1 @0.005thd running this woofer and it hits so hard that I felt like throwing up.
I couldn't see the dash board and had to get out of the car. If I had
all the windows up and cranked this bad boy to max. I would be flexing
the trunk and replacing windows. My advice, go buy them.

Strength:

Wow, this is the best feeling sub ever. I have it set up fairly low, I dislike bass dominating my music. But if I feel adventurous I crank the amp up and let me tell you, with a mere 350 watts the sub just plain hits. I would definetly reccomend a bandpass set-up, it seems to be the best.

Weakness:

Hmm, looks good, long lasting, great sound, nope not a single weakness. Only available in white, so if you like black speakers this could be a problem, I guess.

Like I said I have it set-up very tame, but when I want to this thing can hit like the best of them, actualy better than the rest of them. Would reccomend to anyone who likes great bass that is totally undistorted and crisp. I have a full Infinity speaker set-up in my car, very nice the best speakers available.

Strength:

Crystal clear bass. Will pound your head in and sound good while doing it. These subs go very deep and will not break up at all. Very efficient these subs (I have two)sounded really good running off my old KENWOOD PS150
That was a 75 x 2 ran in mono, incredible. But they can also take the power also. Iam now running them on a MTX 500D. THese subs are bad!!!

Weakness:

IF there is a weakness it is that they dont get the punchy bass that some other subs do....

I got them on an ebay auction pretty cheap and brand new. I would reccomend them over and over again....

Strength:

How low can you go?!?!?!? Amazing frequancy range on top of decent power handling. Not incredibly spendy.

Weakness:

Wish it was shiney like an Eclipse.

I paid $200 for sub and box. If you want low, accurate bass than this sub should be in your ride already. Not super spendy but plays like a champ. Perfect sub.

Strength:

Unparalleled low frequency performance
Excellent SQ
Small box size

Weakness:

Tinsel lead problems in earlier models

I am basically posting this to negate those two idiotic posts of people that obviously have no clue what they are talking about. An RF 360a2 lacks the capability to take this woofer to its limits, and only incompetence, improper installation, and poor setup could account for the results. Please check your settings!

Strength:

Very low bass drops.(hits lower than most 15's i've ever heard.)
The sound quality is amazing, every note is clear..Just a great sub..

Weakness:

No weaknesses, but it makes other 12inch subs sound weak..

I paid $171 a piece on ebay, great deal since crutchfield has them at$299..
I would recommend this sub to anyone who wants a good sounding system..don't waste your time and money on any other subs..i have, and know alot of other people who have to..learn from are mistakes..i had 2 12inch jl12w3's..can't compare to 2 12.1's..my friend has 3 12w6's..can't
compare to 2 12.1....the Perfects just hit harder and cleaner, and blast out more SLP'S..

Strength:

Incredible sound!

Weakness:

well, if you don't let them 'break' in, you'll blow'em quick... but then that might have been just my case.

I went from a very small 'system', to a maxed out system. I had a preset Rockford system... 2 10" rms 100w subs powered by punch 150a2. I wanted more boom and decided to spend a lot of money. I bought 2 12" Infinity Perfect Subs, and powered each sub with it's own Rockford Power 500a2. Lemme tell you that it hits soooooo hard.... i'm not sure if people are looking at me cause of the music or because my trunk rattles so bad. I can notice a for sure hearing loss.... but hey, ya only live once.... Right? I have two caps in my system, but i fried an altrinator already... Whoops!

Strength:

great bass, clean sound

Weakness:

slightly power hungry in a sealed box
the cone can push out so far as to hit the grill if you have one

i got my perfect 12.1 used for 200 with a sealed 1.25 cubic foot box. I haven't heard it in a 1 foor Cubic foot like infinity recommends but I do think the slighly larger box helps for SPLs. I have the one 12 in a suv powered by the infinity 100 beta which puts out 400 at 4 ohms bridged.
It doesn't rattle the car apart but does put out plenty of bass to make you ears hurt. I had the SPL up to 126 db for an long excertion. The sub also sounds good when you turn the amp down to match you high range making it verital for when you want to crank it and when you want accurate bass that does not add to much to the highs. I would recomend the sub for any application or music type, but if you want more bass for the same power go with a JL but the bass isn't as good.

Model Reviewed: 2000 Perfect 10.1

Strength:

Extremely accurate bass response. Even with quick, tight beats (snare drum kicks, etc.) it doesn't miss a hit. Very efficient: I'm only giving 200 watts RMS to the single 10 and it is loud! Hits real low, even in a .66 cubic foot sealed box.
I listen to a variety of music (Classical, Rock/Metal, Hard House, Trance) and this sub works for every type. For you audiophiles out there, I don't think you can do better, plus, if you feel like dropping a bass CD into your headunit and vibrating homes two blocks away, this sub can do that too!

Weakness:

None that I've found so far.
Can't leave my windows up when I am playing loud, get's me kind of dizzy.
Can't see things out of my rearview mirror because it's vibrating too much (guess that's a good thing though, isn't it?)

Paid 200 for the Perfect 10.1 and a .66 cubic foot box from Soundhabit.com and it is worth every penny. I listened to a lot of other subs before choosing the perfect and I don't think there is a better sub out there for the money. The Alumapro Alchemy is fairly close in performance, and I have yet to listen to the new Eclipse Titanium, but you cannot go wrong by buying the perfect. I was a little hesitant about buying a single 10" for my Accord's trunk, but after hearing one of these, you may find you can save your trunk space for what it was designed for - storage. So far, every single person who has heard my system thinks that I have at least a pair of 12's running. You should see the looks on their faces when I pop the trunk and let them see the tiny little box with the single 10" I just can't wait to get a bigger amp and feed it about 400 Watts of clean power.
Infinity says to limit input power into 350 RMS at 4 ohms, but that is a little conservative. Just don't forget to cut any frequency over 140Hz or so, as the Perfects don't reproduce higher ranges too well. As for underpowering the sub, anything with 150 W RMS or higher should be fine. Just remember to keep the power draw low (for you idiots out there who don't know that it is amp clipping that kills 99% of all speaker cones) so that you don't clip. I'll send in another review when I put 400 watts or so into the speaker

Similar Products Used:

JL 10W3's, 12W3's and 12W6's - the perfect is louder and deeper than all of them, even the 12's.
Midrange Rockford's - don't hit near as hard as the perfect
Alumapro Alchemy - close to the Perfects performance, but not as "clean" sounding, and more money

Strength:

low frequency abilities, strong heavy sound in bass reflex

Weakness:

no one

This is the greatest subwoofer I never used. When use in perfect bass reflex enclosure, you can't believe it. All who want to install a powerfull and quality system, include this (or those) subs in.
Just a question: what is the best ampli to use with? Digital300 or other?
Please answer me at marquis_jm@hotmail.com Thanks!
