Strength:

it hits hard down low, it's aluminum, really sensitive, and it moves a lot.

Weakness:

it can be expensive if you don't konw where to buy it.

it's a good sub to say the least, i had it in a sealed box and it performed exceptionally well. a goo dbuy for the SQ people who have some money but not someone on a budget. and mine never blew and i didn't break it in.

Strength:

looks cool, but nobody will see my sub anyways. Hopefully an alluminum cone has it's advantages over Polypropylene Cone, and is performance functional.

Weakness:

i don't know yet

I have this sub for three days now, and i have broken it in with my jvc reciever at -30 to -25 db volume (normal volume i think). I have have broken in the sub for 30 plus hours, and tommorow I will take it to al& Ed's Autosound shop to have it installed with an amp(professional i hope). I am very afraid that this sub would fall apart or something, but so far nothing has happened yet. :) I will post another review how this sub performs in a 2 weeks.

SQ, SPL... bump bump bump

Weakness:

crackheads keep talking crap about them... aint nothing wrong with them in my book.

HAH, thats all I got to say to anyone who gives these subs a less than 5 rating. And no its not an SPL sub. It doesnt claim it is, its a 50/50 sq/spl sub. These are taking a JL w6 and puting it with an Eclipse and combining the two to create the first and only sub to pull off the mixture, you can't crack on this sub, and you def. can't say a W3 hits harder, its just not right to be lying like that, i have a friend with a top of the line system "W3" he nearly cried when we put my subs in his car. I felt like i was getting punched in the throat, these suckers go LOWWWW! put these in a CUSTOM VENTED box and just feel these monsters grab at your throat and make your car fall apart with the ability to play notes from the heavens. AND no these arent poorly built anyone who drills screws in crooked is going to rip the bordering off when you unscrew them, even though someone who treats their subs like a real audiophile wouldnt have to take a sub out of their box, thats how it goes.

Strength:

SQ definately is their strength but they do alright for SPL also. Quality sub.

Weakness:

SPL is not great but then again they aren't SPL subs. Require lots of power to get really loud.

Not reliable? Poorly built? I don't know where these claims are coming from. I've had 2 perfects for 2 years now and couldn't be more pleased. These things easily handle the power I'm giving them from my ZR 600 (pushing more than 700 watts rms) and they are running strong! Proper box and settings (ie no clipping or distortion) and you should easily be able to run these at over their rated capacity.

Strength:

Great balance of SQ/SPL Reliable Efficient Great quality sub for the price

Weakness:

None

I have four 10" perfects powered by a JBL p1200.1. Damn these hit hard and have insane SQ! And despite the claims of a few others here they are very reliable. I have not had one issue with them after some very hard use

Strength:

Good looks, Good SQ, Strong Lows to 18Hz. The aluminum cone dents easily.

Weakness:

Very Poor reliability and build quality

These are great subs for SQ, but SPL is not spectacular. However, considering it is a SQ sub, it pretty loud. They hit low notes very well and look very good to boot. But dispite all of its good features, one undeniable fact undermines them all--this sub has poor build quality and low reliability. The very first time I put these things in the box, the screws tore the cheap shiny black ring around the outside of the sub (on the outer edge of the surround). After a while, almost anyone will find a need to take a sub out of the box, and if you do, you better have some glue handy, this thing tore apart several times. Anyway, it's a good sub for SQ setups if not handled or maintained much, but otherwise, for the money you can do better.

Good Sq efficient

Weakness:

Not for Spl, one of the most unrelaible products on the market

Finding a relaible perfect is like finding a needle in a haystack, their out there but it takes some luck. These ar SQ subs, not SPL!!!!! dont let the reviews fool you. 350 rms!!!! dont even tell me thats an spl stat. And I blew 4 of them with 350 rms to them from an xtant amp which is clean power. they do hit good lows, but anyone looking for looudness look elsewhere. Also the price is crazy they sell them for roughly 150 its all hype no action. My single 10"w3 hits higher spl and my eclipse aluminums destroy them. Buy either JLw3 or eclipse aluminum.

Strength:

cleanest 12" ive ever heard. very responsive with small amounts of power but will take up to 600 watts RMS. Incredibly potent spl wise and on the really deep notes (20hz) .Wont win 1st place in a competition but I expect to hit high 140s after break in (not bad for SQ subs)

Weakness:

I honestly cant think of one yet but If I do Ill let you know

I just installed my two perfect 12s in 1.9 cu. ft. box powered by a jbl 1200.1 (excellent amp by the way). The perfects are stunningly accurate and I could not get them to distort. There SPL output is unbelieveble for the price you pay. Even after dynamating, the trunk would not stop rattling (Im probably hitting in the low 140s and the subs arent even broken in yet). I did almost a year of research on sub/amp combos and its unlikely that youll find a cleaner/louder sub for the money especially when driven from the JBL amp above (make sure you buy a cap)

Similar Products Used:

my friends MTX 6000s cant compete (they bottom out at about 35hz).These subs are close to the eclipse titaniums in performance and much cheaper
