Strength:

SQPL BASS!!! (I don´t think that exists! ;-D), good looking, just need one 12" to shake the girl next door (and her windows)

Weakness:

Big Box You MUST follow factory box specs You need a good amp to make the most out of it

This sub is as good as your skills to follow instructions, you´ve got to follow the factory box specs by the rule or else you´ll end with an expensive looking piece of conic cardboard. So, what do you get if you do follow orders? well, to the very least, a big jaw rattle as the amazing (and clear) bass crunches your bones...simply as that...I´ve got the DVC 12" version, I used to feed it with a Kenwood kac-1024 amp, and the sound was big but sloppy, that one got stolen and I traded it for a MTX Blue Thunder PRO250XD (350watts RMS @ 2ohms measured)and the bass it produces became 2 things: fast & furious!!!, the sloppy sound is out, I´m just getting big, fast, tight bass. Believe me, the secret is a balance between the Vega, the specs of the box & port and finally the quality and sound of your amp (standing ovation for Cerwin Vega and MTX). About you putting to shame most 12"s pairs and 15" singles thats not a myth, it is the real thing!

Strength:

Low end, looks, power, and sound quality.

Weakness:

Spider. But it was my fault.

The best sub in its class and price range. Has an awsome low end, great unique looks and good power handling. I had it hooked up to an Orion XTR 500. I ended up blowing the spider because the box (Q-Logic) wasnt big enouf. Put it in the right box and you will never want to buy or hear another sub again.Except a Stroker.

Strength:

great motor and magnet assembly, strong cones, and huge excursions, and surrounds.

Weakness:

nothing if u put them in the right box

If you want blured vision, bloody ears, and a sh*t load of bass these are for you. These monsters will undoutly out pound any 12in in its class, these suckers have about 2in of peak to peak excursion. I have 2 12in behind the seat of my regular cab s-10, each sub is getting 2cubic ft of space, and i also have 4in diameter and 12.5in long ports for each sub, and they pound ungodly. And to all you dumd a*ses out there who put these in sealed boxes, you people shouldent even have stereo systems, BECAUSE YOU ARE DUMB, THEN YOU WONDER WHY THE SUBS BLOW. put them in the right box, and they will pound.

Strength:

hit hard with little wattage, have good sq and are pretty accurate

Weakness:

box size to run both

These subs are one of the best subs I''ve heard in a while. I have one 12 with a 90 watt eclipse amp running it and it hits harder than my ladys 2 10 mtx. I have another sub but my trunk is too small to fit both subs and who ever said that these subs have poor sq needs to get their facts straight.

Strength:

really good sound quality, very efficient, drops low

Weakness:

lots of tickects from da police, needs lots of air space for a ported box.

these speakers are good. a little pricy. i have 4 12' vegas in a ported box runned by 2 orion t-600s. had them fo 3 years havent blown. can handle lots of power. very good for everyday street use. but needs ported box.I have been pulled over many times by cops and gotten tickets for it. plays decent around 70hz to 110hz.

Strength:

DEEP BASS! Lifelike and great sounding bass.

Weakness:

None that cant be fixed by a better amp.

Cerwin Vega earned my respect the moment i saw these things on the internet, and they kept it when the subs came in. I know my amp sucks being a Jensen and only having 150 watts, but I know that my CV is unbeleivable, because it hit 122 decibels on just that. Even on the low power, this baby can let people know im coming when i get a block or two away. My friend has two Infinity perfects powered by a Rockford Fosgate 800 watt amp, and when I plugged up my CV and did a side by side comparison of sound, not only was the CV louder, but it sounded better; the owner of the perfects was the first to mention this as he listened amazed by how he paid $100 more for each sub when he coulda gone CV.
