Strength:

Powerful, DEEP, efficient, smooth, loud, incredibly long throw

Weakness:

Long throws in a big box kind of boomy... loose, not very tight bass (good and bad)

Fantastic sub! Don't take my "weakness" section to heart... this sub performs exactly like it's supposed to. It's designed for a big box because it has big throws and BIG bass. It moves more air than any other 12" sub I can think of. Very deep bass. I hear notes in songs I didn't even know were there! Incredible. I have a 12" with dual 4Ohm voice coils wired in parallel (giving 2Ohms) into a Sony XM-1002 (one ohm stable). The sub is in a Q-Logic type three box with the recommend port (see Vega's website). It works great. Overall, I'm very happy with the sub. It hits really hard: big, loose, deep bass. Sometimes I miss the "tightness" of a bandpass box, but this Vega really rocks.

Strength:

Loud as S hitt. With long throw and clarity.

Weakness:

Need a ported box, mine has 4, with qa good size enclosure space.

These are great subs. My friends and me had to build a custom box for the 2 12" to fit in my 2000 mustang. They can handle crazily low bass, and never bottom out. I run 600 watts to each. Gain is pretty much all the way down. I would reccommend them to anyone that would like power and distinction of clarity...

Strength:

These subs pound. Great excursion, power handeling, low and deep bass.

Weakness:

requires big box, but oh well!!

I paid $320 for 3 twelves. Iwould recomend these Vegas to anyone who just wants SPL. They don't have that much SQ, but they can pump out the bass.

Strength:

crazy excursion, and excellent reproduction of bass in the 35-50 hz range

Weakness:

The black foam around the outside of the speaker tends to peel away when you unscrew the screws to remove the sub from its box, but nothing a little super glue can't fix.

I paid 150 for this sub and I am totally happy with it. not only does it pump out amazing bass, but it lookes really cool. I would reccommend it to anyone that listens to rap/hip-hop music most of the time because it would be a waste of a powerful sub to turn it down and listen to music without a lot of bass.

It sounds a lot like the audiobahn alum-12, but I think it is actually a little bit louder

Strength:

This thing is amazing. I got it at best buy for 160 bucks. Bought a q-logic ported box for 90, threw the vega in it, hooked it up to my little 100 watt amp and it slams. My friend has 2 MTX 12's and it matches them. If i put the same watts to mine as he puts to ONE of his subs it will be putting him to shame. This sub sounds great.

Weakness:

Gives me a headache if i turn it up too loud.

I went to best buy and got this thing on sale for 160 bucks. I would definitely recommend this sub to anyone that only wants one sub but wants loud bass. It needs a big ported box, but it's definitely worth it.

Strength:

These speakers kick a-s-s. Plain and simple. They are the loudest, and cleanest I've heard in a LONG time. I use a Power Acoustik 2400W.2 1OHM amp, and they just straight f-u-c-k-i-n-g crank. All of the other losers that only give it 1 star can eat a fat d-i-c-k, they must have a b-u-l-l-s-h-i-t amp or something.

Weakness:

None.

I paid $200.00 on the street for 2 15"'s, and $400 for the 2400Wx2 Power Acoustik amp. I am very happy w/ the way it sounds.

Strength:

I had 2 15's. These subs play very well. They handle more power than they are rated at, and never bottom out.

Weakness:

Requires a lot of space. The only problem was that when the cones move alot, it is possible for the plate that you hook the wires up to, to go through the cone...but even after that, the woofer still works vey well.

I had 2 cerwin vega 154's. Recently, I'm not sure what happened, but I blew one of my subs, along with my cd player. I think that my sub may have blown from being in the wrong type of enclosure for so long...whatever the case may be, I am looking to switch over to the vega 124's so I won't lose so much trunk space. Some of the other people said that they heard popping or bottoming out, but I was running my subs on a 1400 watt amp wired in series, and no matter how loud I played them, they never bottomed out or distorted. The only noise that they ever made was the breaking of things in my car (i.e. rear deck, holding clips, mirrors). I would recomend these speakers to anyone...they play louder than MTX and JBL...and probably many others...

Strength:

Low bass and puts out alot of bass for alittle amount of wattage. Has a high cone excursion which means it can move more air than other subs can handle.

Weakness:

Hurts my ears and gives me headaches :)

I have a pair of 2 10" CV series and they hit hard for underpowering them at 125 rms watts to each. Can't wait to put a Rockford amp in them to boost it up to 300 watts each. With only 125 watts to each, this subs are making my bug come apart because everything is getting loose from the bass notes. THis to to TRAVIS WITH THE SUBS IN A FIREBIRD CAR...OF COURSE THE SUBS WILL BOTTOM OUT AT HIGH LEVES, U WERE ONLY PUTTING 100 WATTS TO EACH SUB WITH A ROCKFORD100a2 AMP. U WERE WAY UNDERPOWERING THEM!!!!! THEIR RMS IS IS 400 WATTS AND U ONLY HAD WHAT???? ONLY 100 WATTS TO EACH SUB????I WONDER Y THEY SOUNDED SO CRAPPY!!!!!
