I've heard a couple of these Eclipse Aluminum subs. They can really drop some notes. I compare a pair of 12's to some bad ass 15's and the Eclipse still drop deeper. I have (6) 15's on order for my Impala SS, You'd better step back because these subs really HAMMER.

hell, i don't even like cheese that much....listened to the eclipse 12" sub in a store and then in a friends car, and man they thump. they definetely deserve the title of #1 rated sub, although i did get to hear the 32" Clairon sub, and if you prefer a life of hearing damage and a fluttering heart, then that's the sub for you......

Put em in a sealed or single-vented bandpass box and give em a little power, and youll blow your windows out.

I'm an experienced eclipse user. I used to have 1 18" pioneer sub, 2 15" JL subs, and 3 12" Kicker Competion subs. Then later I switched to eclipse. The system I used to have can compare to this new one. And yes, I have the same amp. You will never hear a real precision power, bass dropping, ear blowing system until you try out ecilpse. Take my word for it!

I recently had some boston acoustic 4 inchers in front of my toyato truck. Then i decided to try some eclipse front speakers. I was impressed, the high are great, good and clear. I compared them to kicker, and they sounded so much better! try them ..

I recently acquired 3 12" alluminum cone Eclipse subs. I entered an all area High School car stereo competition and managed 157.6 db in my Astro Van. My ears almost started to bleed. These subs are a little pricey, but they are worth every penny.

I had 4 alchemy alumapro 12's and they sounded great, beautiful sound quality. I just switched to the eclipse a few weeks ago and these babies rock! They get lower and hit harder. The only draw-back I fould is that they take a lot more power than the average 12.

Quite simply I have been into Car Audio for many years. Looking at the Eclipses from a technical standpoint, they are the best overall subs on the market. I have never seen a subwoofer designed that can output such high SPL levels while retaining incredible sound quality. If you are considering new subwoofers, listen to Eclipse 8800's.

I have installed about ten systems in the last month, four have been with Eclipse speakers, one has been with Cerwin-Vega's. The Eclipse have the overall advatange because of price and you won't have to have as big of amps, but the stroker's can't be beat, with six fifteen inch Strokers, and six Phenoix Gold amp's (like the system I intalled in a "99 4-Runner) you'll colapse your lungs. We got It over 160 dB's. The Ecplise speaker's still have a clearer tone and quicker hits.
